Blue eyes seemed so far away, lost in thought that she didn't know what was happened, her cheekbones had become so gaunt. She looked starved. Melody said nothing as she was shoved into the car, the door closing behind her. The engine stirred to life and drove away taking Melody away, leaving nothing but tire tracks.
:: Month later ::
"Guilty" Melody said, facing the man who wielded the wooden hammer. "I sentence you to 15 years." Melody smirked. 15 years was nothing when you have immortality. She let the men in the black uniform take her away, her cold eyes studied the mass of people within the room as she was taken into another room where she was instructed to remove her clothing and replace it with a rather ugly orange 'onsie' "Orange isn't my colour" she told the woman, elbows pressed against the table. "Put it on." The woman replied, not entertaining Melody.
Melody did as she was told, she undressed in front of the woman, she wasn't shy, she was quite prideful of her body and slipped her naked form into that orange suit. She gave the woman a sleezy smile.
"Want to search me now?" Melody lifted her arms. Inviting the woman in, the sleeve of her shirt fell a bit, revealing the brand on her wrist - the branch that would never fade away - that symbolised her eternal love for her wife. Eilidh. "Are you carrying drugs?" The woman asked, In a bored tone. "If I was, would you search me?" Was the witty response.
:: Month later ::
"Mel". The blonde woman turned to look at the red head, "Zara, Helen and I were thinking about ditching this place." Melody raised an eyebrow, looking away for her freshly painted nails. "How are you planning on doing that?" The red haired woman looked sheepish.
"Well, you have that strength." She said. Since being in this all girls prison, Melody had become top dog she fed everyday. Most of the in mates knew she was a vampire and because of that they fell at her feet. Some even begged her to turn them. Melody agreed, though she'd never carry it out she asked for their blood in exchange to keep her young and to keep her strength up.
She often thought of her wife, but she could no longer feel the woman close to her - their link got weaker which made Melody act out, she used women for her own selfish deeds.
"You in?" Melody nodded her head. It had only been a month and she was already bored of seeing the same four walls each day. The woman got up, dusted down her jump suit, and followed Tina back to her cell to plan out their escape.
It's about time she returned to Harper Rock, to her sire at least. She could still feel his link.
:: Four days later ::
Sirens buzzed in her ear, she was out. She had to take out a few guards on her way to the main gates. The screaming, the shouting all got a bit to much for her delicate eardrums. Her group followed her out trailing behind quite close - watching in awe of her strength and agility as she broke one neck, and then moved onto the next. Yes, she had broken the masquerade in this place but she couldn't care she wasn't in Harper Rock. If anything this place was like a vacation for her. She had been so quiet when she was taken in and now she seemed like her old self. Melody got to the last gate and turned to face her 'friends' she smiled. "This is the end". They all whooped and clapped Melody on the shoulder, what they didn't expect was their deaths. Melody killed all three of them swiftly. She felt slightly sad killing them, they had amused her. Getting rid her lingering emotions for the humans she jumped over the gate and ran off into the darkness of the woods, ignoring the sounds of the prisons alarms.
She knew now she was an escaped convict, she couldn't go by Mel anymore. If anyone knew her name well she'd have to kill them, so she'd give herself a new name. She'd go by Lorde now. It was simple, sweet and very different from Melody.
After a couple of hours worth of hitch hiking, she was back in Harper Rock. Well. It hadn't changed. She breathed out and headed towards Cherrydale.
