Raven was more amused by what the man had said, rather than insulted or upset. A simple smirk caressed her lips then as she spared a glance towards the man who had invaded her personal space once more. She didn’t invest any emotions into her questions, why should she feel insulted or upset? It was then that she decided that she really did want a cigarette, even if she had a casual one while she waited for the bodies to finish burning. ”Well you’re in luck, I’m not in the market for a husband. I’m not even looking for a relationship.” What she didn’t say was that it was all because she didn’t really see that she even had a future. Killing, pain, hunger and her sire took up her time. Everything else was not important, at least, to her. Although, she had promised to Jesse to make an effort with the family, so there was that which she didn’t think that she would make very much progress with.
A dismissive hand was waved then before she proceeded to pull out the packet of cigarettes and lighter once again. ”Yes. I asked you to. Everything else is wrong, so I guess you did fail at reading between the lines. If there is any disappointment, it’s because you were just not as capable as I thought you were.” Again, they were not lies, all that she spoke was the truth. While she did hope for some kind of pain from the man, it wasn’t the fist kind. Oh one could throw punches to their heart’s delight, but the pain that lasted came in the form of a sharp object or a gun-shot wound. Simply put, Jesse had been right when he had pointed out that she could poke and prod at a stab wound to her heart’s content. The wound and the pain would last longer, but at least the pain was there for more than a day or two.
”From you Kaspar? I doubt that there is anything that you could give me.” Adopting a bored look, she tugged out yet another cigarette from the packet and pocketed the packet. Silently, she held up her lighter as she placed the cancer stick between her lips and flicked the igniter. Gas caught alight and the end of her cigarette caught alight as well. She drew in a quick breath as it did so, just to make sure that it stayed lit when she pocketed the lighter. After she had pocketed the lighter, she finally pulled the cigarette from her lips and exhaled. ”Besides, if I let lose my dogs of war and you injure me, he will probably be out for blood. Especially considering that you’re another vampire. I can’t have that, as it is, I have to negotiate with the man on a constant basis when it comes to fighting with another of our kind.”
Indeed, the woman had to negotiate with Jesse in order to simply fight Doc, who just simply left her blind and itching all over. Doc on the other hand, had been dealt a bullet wound and he had also been struck with the shadows that she commanded. She angled her head then to send a simple smirk to the man, ”Besides, you’re not as charming as you make yourself out to be.” There was no bridge to build, no bridge to get over. It was how she liked it and most generally stayed away. Most being the key word. This was the first vampire, that she knew of, to ever strike up a conversation with her, especially considering that she generally had a, ‘don’t come near me,’ vibe. It was a stance that she had been working to perfect in her human life, but it seemed to have all gone to **** the moment she was turned. ”Besides, who said you were my amusement? I’ve had my amusement for the night, you’re just some random vampire that happened along afterwards.”
