Accidents will happen (vadablade)

[Klara]

The pair stood to leave; she smiled at him as he took her hand to lead her out. Klara’s look softened as he kissed her hand; she liked that, she like it a lot. It was a sweet old-fashioned gesture and it made her feel special somehow.

She shivered as they walked out into the night air. “I love walking on nights like this.” She snuggled into the cloak, her arm linked with his. She breathed in his scent and smiled as she looked at him. The streets were not busy and it was as if they had the entire city to themselves.

His hand moved to hers as a silly grin spread across her lips. She tried to stop but she felt like she was 16 again. Her thumb caressed the back of his hand as they slowly walked. The streets lights casting a soft glow as she turned down another street to head to her apartment. “We just have to go up here several blocks.”

Klara stopped for a moment and turned to look at him. “What is it about you?” she asked him quietly. “Why do I feel like I’ve known you for a lifetime and we just met?”

His hand felt right in her own and it confused her that she should feel anything like that at all. Her eyes studied his face wondering if she could trust herself but she wanted to know more about him. Her hand in his she waited quietly for his answer.

He laughed softly as he listened to her and kissed her softly on her nose. He felt the same really, she was, after all, everything he could ever want. She was stunning, her laugh was mystical. The way the lights danced on her skin as they walked down the street made him smile at her.

"I would assume it is because I am an easy going calm person. I speak the truth and just act the way I would want to be treated. You are simply heavenly to look at Klara. I am glad I met you. I am happy Pi turned me and I met you." They walked around as he swung her hand with his and laughed softly.

The building was growing close as they walked, but he turned and walked them along a windy path. He added roughly another 20 minutes to their walk as he loved being lost with her beside him.

Klara blushed as he kissed her nose, shocked to find she wanted him to kiss her. She laughed as he veered off the route to her apartment building taking the long way around. “Maybe I should be afraid of you, leading me into a dark street to have your way with me!” she teased him.

She snuggled in close leaning her head on his shoulder as they walked hand in hand down the street. “You mentioned you were on a mission, something about a girl and having to kill three more, what happened?”

Finding a bench Klara led them to and sat down for a moment sitting next to him holding his hand. “If you’d rather not talk about it I’ll understand.” She wanted to know everything, the good, the bad and the ugly. He had a story and she wanted…no she needed to know it.

She looked up, “My building is right there and we can cut through here if you want.” She looked into his eyes her face only inches from his own. “It’s your choice what you want.”

He smiled as he sat down and looked at her as she asked him, in all honesty he really didn't remember much. "To tell you the truth my past is rather dark babe. I will tell you about it some other time."

He cuddled her close as he looked at her building and smiled, it was a wonderful apartment complex. His eyes strained as he tried to find how many floors there was. He looked into her eyes as she spoke and then smirked. He cupped her cheek and leaned in as he kissed her lips gently and then pulled her up as he walked with her to her place.

"I'll walk you home then make my way back to the forge. I want to make sure you get home safely."

Klara blinked as cupped her face realizing he was going to kiss her. She wanted him to kiss her she realized. As his lips touched hers, a shiver ran down her spine having nothing to do with the coldness of the air. The kiss was simple yet affected her greatly. She looked into his eyes briefly as the kiss ended as they stood to continue towards her apartment.

She cleared her throat trying to cover the fact that the kiss had affected her more than she wanted to admit. “Right through this alley way here” she point out to him feeling suddenly shy around him. They continued to walk the rest of the way in silence. She nodded at the door attendant as they entered and headed for the elevators.

As the doors closed and they were all alone, she finally spoke. “You can use your tome in my apartment and you won’t be seen and get caught that way.”

The doors open and she leads the way to her place. She fumbles with the key and drops it on the floor. She quickly scoops it up and gives him an embarrassed smile at her clumsiness. He was cursing herself inwardly for letting a little kiss throw her this off balance. She finally managed to get the door unlocked without further incident and invited him in.

“Computer is right here if you need to check on anything before you leave.” She smiled at him motioning to the laptop on the couch. “Minus the whole shooting me thing, I’m glad I got to know you a little bit. I’d really like to hear more about how you got here and the girl.”

He smiled as he kissed her softly once more, his hand sliding through her hair as he moved to the couch. He pulled up the city weather and looked at her. " Seems it is going to snow." He lied as he stood and took her by the hand to the balcony. He looked out and smiled. "You have a wonderful view. I would love to watch the moon rise from this very spot. "

He turned and looked at her as he pulled Klara against him and kissed her cheek as he moved her in front of him. He looked out as he slipped his arms around her waist and smiled. "I am glad I met you today. It has made me rather happy to just have you in my arms. I am seriously sorry I shot you, but to have this outcome? I would gladly do it again. "

He laughed and just let his vision move out onto the scenery of the city and smiled.

Klara’s eyes widen just the tiniest as he kisses her, his hand caressing her hair as he goes to the computer. She should be mad at him for being familiar. A small smile passed her lips as she watched him realizing she liked the affection he showed her, realizing just how much she liked him near her.

Holding hands, the pair went to the balcony. She was quiet as he pulled her into his arms, her hands resting on his upper arms. She closed her eyes for the briefest second as his lips met her cheek as a smile appeared on her lips.

Klara caressed his face at his confession, standing on her tiptoes she kissed the corner of his mouth as he looked out over the city. She leaned into him, laying her head on his shoulder and whispered softly, “Me to vada, me too.”

The pair stood in silence, each lost in their own thoughts unable to let go of other, neither knowing where this was going to lead.
