He found himself unable to look away as she stared at him and he paled a bit at her description of what she wished, no not wished but said she was going to do to him. He opens his mouth to ask a question "Anything i wa" he cuts off when her fangs sink deep into his neck, he mutters out and sputters a bit trying feebly to push her small form off, however she was deceptively strong. He gave up and whimpered quietly, as soon as it started though it stopped, and his neck was free of her.
He barely had time to react at all before she told him what she was and pressed her wrist against his mouth. He resisted for a short time but the blood that spilled into his mouth seemed to find its way down his throat despite his own opinions. He drank for some time, it seemed to help the pain that was welling within him rapidly, he barely understood her words before rounding his gaze on her as her wrist is taken.
"Pain...is nothing compared to losing...her"

Sepsis allowed a small smile to appear across her lips, to comfort the man. He had a certain determination in him that drew her. A quiet understanding that would aide him through the ages. So much heartache in one so young, yet unafraid of what was to come to him. She always felt slightly disturbed by the guilt she felt for not being able to turn Progeny as quickly as others could. But what she gave her Progeny...she knew they would forgive her anything for such a Gift.
"You will be with me forever, Tobais. I will be your Mother. Your Father. Your Sister, and your teacher. I am your Maker, Tobais." Sepsis chuckled to herself slightly before continuing. "Not your lover though..all those gooey body fluids..ick" A brilliant smile spread across her face, and she continued. "You are mine, Tobais, and we shall walk this night forever." Sepsis reached out with one pale hand, and once again brushed Tobais's hair from his eyes.
She watched the man, trying to determine how the first exchange was effecting him. She did not know what ailed him medically, but was determined to not allow him to succumb to mortal death. She felt a sense of sympathy for him, as she would any she chose to change. Her Gift was not an easy one.
"Six more times, Tobais. Just six more nights..." Shifting, so that Tobais could lay comfortably with his head in her lap, she began to whisper to him. Secrets of the night. Secrets of the stars. Secrets of the Blood. Like those she had made before him, there was teaching to be done. Rules to remember lest the True Death be met.
"Stay the course my dear one, you're fighting for your life."

Tobais watched as the strange woman looks at him closely, he tried to meet her gaze but it was odd...and strong. He looks away and clutches his chest.
"Why does it hurt so much?" He asks leaning against her for what small comfort it offered. He looked up and suddenly back away when her face seemed...familiar for a mere moment he blinks rapidly and shakes his head Sory miss...Sepsis" he says gently "I thought i saw something"
He listens closely as she lists off all the things that she would be, and giggles when she says she hates all the "squishy gooey body fluids" and shakes his head and leans against her comfortably. He could not even think of the last time he had been so at ease, he sighs and tries to stay awake but his eyes seem heavy from the events of the day, in little time at all he found himself with his head in her lap being whispered the secrets he would have given himself over for only hours ago, he falls asleep to them curling his head into her belly.

Sepsis waited until Tobais had once again dozed off, his head resting on her lap as a small child would do when ill. He was ill though. Mortally ill. And he would not survive. Lucky for him. Humanity was such a fragile thing. Everything was so important. Everything had to be done now. Everything was so very fragile. It was something she did not miss.
Casting her gaze about the room, she saw nothing but the laden bookshelves, and trinkets she had collected. Not all shadows were just shadows she had learned, but the regular tell tale signs of 'visitors', was not to be seen. Her own demons were not something she would wish for her Progeny...and she had learned that being dead doesn't mean that the dead stop talking.
Allowing her mind to wander, Sepsis would wait until Tobais opened his eyes again. It was time once again for the exchange. Such a lovely addition to her growing brood he would make.

Tobais yawns and slowly opens his eyes he did not recall falling asleep, least of all on the strange woman's lap. He looked up at her as her eyes scanned the bookshelves. She, did not scare him but something about her seemed odd, unnatural it was odd to see first hand. He wanted to speak to her more, he slowly sits up fully letting her know he had woken up and he lays a hand on her leg.
"What are you looking for Sepsis?" He asks trying to follow her gaze. He had the feeling she saw something he did not, it put him very ill at ease. He winces and holds his side as the pains of turning spiked and he shudders "What..what is happening to me?"

The question brought Sepsis from her reverie, and she gazed upon Tobais, contemplating her answer. As she did, a look of pain crossed his face, and his arms went to his sides, holding himself as though racked with pain.
TobaisCorbin wrote:"What..what is happening to me?"
"The second exchange, of course." She replied, her dichromatic eyes reflecting the soft light throughout the room. Lifting Tobais's head, she slid off the couch, kneeling beside him. Taking his wrist, she bit, her teeth piercing his skin easily. He was slightly cooler today, her blood already working to strip the mortal life from his veins. Finishing her half of the exhange, she lifting her own wrist, opening her flesh and forcing Tobais's lips to part so that her thick blood poured into him.
Sepsis observed as Tobais ingested her blood, noting his dark hair too was already taking on the lustrous sheen many of her Kind had, and whispered, almost to herself.. "What I want, Tobais, is for you to be free of the regrets that bind you. The woman who's grave you were digging, could have been the end of you. Your death would have been senseless. Instead, it will now set you free."

He drinks greedily of her blood, it was the only thing that helped the pain. He closed his eyes and listened close as he fed, at last calming down a bit.
When he at last lifts his mouth from her wrist he looks at her, blood dribbling down his chin a bit. "I haven't been free in a long time Sepsis. I...i remember her face" He says softly as his vision clouds over a bit and Crystal's face swam in front of him, he slowly raises his hand and cups her cheek as he starts to speak dreamily.
"Why did you have to leave? Why couldn't i come with you, its hell to be here alone" He turns and nuzzles into her belly, not like a stranger as he had been but almost like she was a lover. "I just want to see you one last time, i can only remember you as you rose from the grave, i want to see your smile again" He says as pain starts to once again flare up in his chest and stomach. He whimpers and curls up a bit. "it hurts..."

Sepsis softened upon hearing the words. She knew all too well of being haunted by faces from her past. More than just faces to be truthful. She too held her regrets close. She too was bound by unseen chains from her past.
TobaisCorbin wrote:"Why did you have to leave? Why couldn't i come with you, its hell to be here alone"
A sensation of sadness washed over the pyress, and she remembered all too well the hollow feeling in her chest that she had carried for months after He had gone from this world. 'I didn't want to live without Him..' she reminisced.
TobaisCorbin wrote:"I just want to see you one last time, i can only remember you as you rose from the grave, i want to see your smile again"
Her breath caught in her throat as the words escaped, and she knew she in that moment what she was going to do. She had developed a very special gift after being Turned. One that could drive a person mad should she wish it, or give them something so precious, they would not be able to tell if it was a dream, or a memory. Either way...it was a gift he deserved. Something she knew without question, that may ease his pain, and give him the peace that he appeared to be so desperately searching for.
TobaisCorbin wrote:"it hurts..."
He whimpered as he curled around her body, as if seeking solace from the pain she believed he must be fighting. Placing one hand on his cheek, she began to hum, a lost melody from a childhood long past. As she did, she focused her mind, pushing out and into his with a soft touch, searching for her face. Her voice. Her smell. Her touch. He would see her again. And she could make it so. She had played with the images she could make others see many times, but not like this.
This would be his dream come true, and a chance to say goodbye, before his new eternal life, would begin.
