The cold, it was tolerable. If anything, it was better than the heat. Aside from that it was just sometimes easier to bare, it covered up the unpleasant smells that might be around otherwise. Rot, sewage, whatever. For some reason the cold just had a habit of hiding it. Unfortunately, it also had a habit of hiding the ones that were actual problems. Apparently that included the less than pleasant vampires lurking down here with her. In truth, those she ran into were rarely an issue. Bargained with, fed on if she was desperate, maybe bargained to be fed on. Or perhaps they were even already out to make a deal, though if it was some kind of a trade of firearms or something else, she typically avoided doing it in person.

Today, however, was less than pleasant. Milly was no weakling, she might be practically half blind, but the combination of her upbringing, and her abilities as a blood thief, made her hold her own fairly well in the fights she got into. Mainly fights that were within melee range. The types of vampires usually found down here, if they were to fight, were hardly ever a problem.

But today...well it was just not her day apparently. One after another kept causing problems, it was like they'd all lost their minds or hadn't fed in way too long. She was down here for some reason, talk to someone, but with the considerable rush that she was pushed into, it was a whole lot more important to remember to keep her guard up and keep moving than figure out what brought her down here in the first place. The constant fighting tore at her clothing and at her, leaving her with quite a number of wounds, but also practically shredding her clothing. She wasn't in much of a position to consider that, given that she was still running from two of them while carrying her blood covered sword in her hand and breathing heavily from the effort she was having to put out for this.
