Re: Dead Bullets [MM]
Segreti spat up blood clenching his chest and coughing with a groan as he clenched his free hand on the roof wall as he laid down on it. Injuries were not completely abnormal. He'd grown more willing to get into fights over time. On the one hand, he could take on a surprising amount of enemies given how little he'd fought before moving to Harper Rock. Naturally, he was aware this ability was because of his powers. He looked at his weapon, reloading and coughing again. He focused on his chi, and in mere moments the bullet wound in his chest healed up. He had a good cut along one arm, but it was not of the biggest consequence, though it definitely hurt.
He had avoided dealing with his more underworld based operations directly, not only to avoid it's presence in his mind due to his interactions with telepaths, but also because he wanted no evidence connected to him. That said, while there were certainly laws preventing it, most in this place wouldn't question a fight with gangsters who just happened to be causing problems.
Unfortunately, while the gangsters in the slums were rarely a challenge. He ended up against a small group of Lionelli. They weren't his intended target, but a fight broke out regardless. He got away, but he was avoiding leaving just yet. Didn't want to risk engaging too many right now. He was exhausted, and he was only so good at healing wounds. He did have his tome, but if he used that too often people would catch on.
There were other foes approaching, ones usually not present in the Quarantine Zone, at least while he was around. Ancient Zombies. A familiar foe actually, they were an easy target in the Mausoleum, somewhere he usually practiced his skills.
