With the new chapter off to a rolling start, it's time to discuss where are your characters sitting? What are they hoping to have achieved by this end? What are you hoping to see change? What do your characters not want to see? What are they afraid of?
This will give us as developers an idea of what you, as players, are looking be it pro-harmony or pro-chaos. We can't promise that they'll be directly influenced, but please discuss!

Re: Chapter 9 [Discussion]
I have to say, I've been thoroughly enjoying Chapter 9! It's really sparked my creativity where it's sat dormant for months and in some cases longer with some of my characters here. Being engaged in Chapter 9 has allowed me to bring them to the front or put them to the back, as the case may be with some.
Some of my characters are pro-chaos. They're afraid of being subjugated by humans simply for being what they are. They're angry about the current treatment of vampires as a species, regardless of what they themselves or their loved ones have done. Their worse fear was anything happening to their lovers, their progeny, their maker and that's exactly what's happened with being chipped and tracked against their will.
Some of my characters are pro-harmony, and those are split into two factions: those that want to see homogeny between vampires and all humans (including Paladins), and those that have stopped considering Paladins as humans and more as an enemy where typical humans are not. Both of those sides want to be able to exist in the world as it was before, with both vampires and humans living their lives alongside each other. It's too late to return to secrecy, but maybe tolerance isn't too far out of reach.
Some of my characters don't know where they fit yet in the world, or in this fight between humans and vampires, but they know that the current administration isn't doing enough to guide the people of Harper Rock toward an agreeable end. Some of my characters think the real threat is the other undead: the zombies that can do damage in a group, the feral vampires that feed on anything without thought, the lichs, the monstrosities. They think the rest of it is all distraction, but even they're prone to getting caught up in the politics of it all.
I don't know where the Chapter will go, but I'm excited for all outcomes, honestly. I'm a writer that enjoys scenarios that don't exactly mean a happy ending for my characters involved. That said, I am always looking for opportunities for these characters to influence the chapter in their own way. I would like to get better at spotting them. Another concern of mine is that (given the state of my busy life), I worry that I won't have the time to give to let them influence it. Writing is hard and requires effort that I don't always have to give every day, and sometimes not even every week. Especially around the holidays now. But, that might just be my fault for having too many characters that are all invested in different things at once.

Re: Chapter 9 [Discussion]
I enjoy the chapter so far! The potential effects are considerable, so it'd definitely something I want to try and write more in.
In truth, I'd be happy to see either outcome. Whether bancroft stays or goes, and whoever else gets in office. I think that regardless, it'll be fully entertaining to write out or write the reactions to.
I may give short bits about the characters instead of an overall for all of them, as each are responding to it somewhat differently:
Segreti: Still trying to improve vampire/human relations, not that he's managed to truly accomplish enough. He's not incredibly concerned for himself, but he's definitely worried about what will happen if Bancroft stays in office. Whether he'll manage any further control over vampires, or he'll push things into outright war. Segreti wants unity between vampires and humans.
Mason: She's the one who's not doing a whole lot. After her death and return she's kind of going through identity issues. She feels more vampire than human now, but she also hasn't a clue how she'd help, or if she would. She is definitely afraid of potentially being made to enter the shadow realm more often, so she doesn't want Bancroft to win. But hasn't a clue what to do about it. She isn't sure she's pro unity, but she isn't for Bancroft either. She basically just wants to survive it right now.
Kyrie: Like Segreti he's trying to help but in a somewhat different way. Kyrie has been doing some bits here and there and trying to use his hacking skills to the advantage of the vampires as much as he can. He's also involved himself in some online discussions trying to push vampires to at least unite amongst themselves. He's anti Bancroft and pro unity. Kyrie wants to try and help get vampires united with each other at least.
Valerian: Haven't managed to use him much on forum, but he's very much pro chaos and right now pro bancroft. He is all for the problems that Bancroft has caused for vampires and wants even more. He'd love to see vampires reduced any more than they are right now. I haven't figured out how to involve him just yet in rp's, but he'd definitely push to keep bancroft in office and to try and destroy any good image of vampires they might try for.
Maria: She's not necessarily against Bancroft himself as she has said that she thinks he might just be fearful, but she is Pro unity. She'd rather him not be in office as she doesn't trust him. Truthfully she doesn't want to focus on those goals at all, she wants to focus on learning more about humans and vampires alike as she sees them already as one thing essentially. I don't think Maria has a clear idea though about what she wants to accomplish. I think she's just doing things as she goes mostly.
Galia: Normal Galia hasn't a clue, she's mostly just afraid and wants to get through things. She wouldn't push for or against Bancroft or the vampires. She might lean more towards being pro bancroft though as she would rather feel safe, even if all the soldiers make her job harder. Paladin Galia however is all for chaos. She's not necessarily pro bancroft because she doesn't see his methods as extreme enough. Paladin Galia does want to accomplish something, she wants humans to out every vampire, and she wants humanity to form against vampires completely to try and eradicate them. However Galia more just desires this than actively seeks it out.
