The surname Broussard was first found in Languedoc, where the family has been anciently seated from very early times.
By the 14th century the family had prospered and branched to Varennes in Lyonnais, as well as to Provence. Throughout the centuries the family became well established in the region of Languedoc and as a noble family of France, the members were confirmed with letters of patent and heraldic cap. They contributed largely to the political as well as the cultural scene.
Later in the 19th century the family divided into three branches, respectively migrating to the United States of America, Canada and Argentina.
André was the black sheep of the family, he fought as best he could against the iron discipline of his father , a true religious fanatic, until his father, tired of Andre , committed him as a pupil in a religious college of the Franciscans, attempting to subdue him.Andre´s family The Brousard
In a little village not so long ago lived the Broussard family. Father James Broussard, considered himself a righteous man of God. He dedicated the majority of his adult life to serving, protecting and educating people that were less fortunate than he. Of course this wasn’t the way he had been raised, but through the grace of God, was given the opportunity to correct his wrong doings, as well as his families. It wasn’t always an easy task, but he made himself quite the success.
May 8th 1952, James Edouard Broussard, was born to a wealthy family, in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris, France. His father had made a name for himself, starting a private banking business, which only grew throughout his childhood and teen years. Never had he expected to serve and live the life he was currently. Catholic traditions were always enforced in his home, but never above going to mass, when you were required, and saying a few hail Mary’s to cleanse oneself of iniquities. It wasn’t until he was introduced through a rather fanatical school friend, to the beauty of true faith and religion. His father for the life of him, couldn’t understand why his son would choose such a narrow-minded path, he had always hoped James would take over the family business. But it was to no avail, as James begged and pleaded by the age of 17 to be sent to a suitable seminary school.
By age 26, he was well on his way to finalizing his time spent and served learning. It was a divine miracle that he had been exposed to a new, true way of spreading God’s word; through mission trips to various countries. The decision was hard, after so many years spent in his religious studies, but James was sure he could apply them and make much more of a difference, helping the unfortunate, rather than serve under those that in his opinion, were not always true men of God. By 1979, James had successfully formed his first missionary trip to Nicaragua.
A year later he served a few months in Jamaica, and finally in 1980 settled in South Korea, where he met his current and only wife Soo Yun. His life was finally coming together, and in 1982 their first son Patrice Jae Broussard II was born. It was only the beginning of the large supportive family he had ever dreamed of. He had always been known as Father Patrice, even though his title was short lived in France, the people seemed to have no problem recognizing his leadership qualities and fresh religious outlook.
This way Andre spent his childhood and adolescence in a private school, with little contact with his family, except for holidays.
Until tired of that life , surrounded by Christ , chapels , prayers and priests, he escapes willing to know the world.
He met Abelle in the States and a strong connection was instantly established between Abelle and André. He did not know it , but that meeting would drastically influence his future. He wanted to move with her but she is reticent, tries to explain her life has changed, she does not live in the States, she has moved to Canadá.
André insists and she finally accepts and this is how he first arrives in Harper Rock City.
He could never imagine finding himself in that strange and chaotic city inhabited by vampires and other strange beings, monsters, spirits and all kinds of magical creatures. His own step sister was a vampire, but André's adventurous spirit soon found connections with the underworld and thus was able to set up Chocolate as a front for laundering the mob's money.
Abelle, aware of André's adventures and wanting to get him away from shady deals, buys a Studio Broussard trying to straighten out the life of her step brother. ( It is worth clarifying, without much success ). Abelle always feared André would be turned into a vampire and tried to prevent it anyway, following each one of André's steps.
But André's greatest weakness is beautiful women, when he met Mortll he fell in love at first sight, but love between humans and vampires is something impossible, Abelle knew that very well, she was often tempted to turn her own stepbrother.
So it was, Abelle faced André giving a choice, be locked up for life in a dungeon or leave Harper Rock now. Knowing her and seeing he had no options André left the city without explanations or goodbyes, for the records he simply vanishes. Years passed and André could never forget Mortll, no woman he knew could compare to her, tired of being away he decided to return to Harper Rock looking for her.
The rest of this story is being written and you can find it in the records.
