OOC:
Hello.
Life has changed. And through all the changes, Simon's voice is present in my head. I cannot get it to silence. Things are stable for me timewise, and other ways. I am looking to get back into the swing of things. Yes, at one point I was a reactionary character, possibly toxic, but I am looking to get back into a game that has always held a spot in my heart.
What am I looking for? RP. Specifically? Anything. A lot of my old partners have moved on. Some have not. However, time has passed. So, I am stepping back into him after an absence. Most don't remember me. Some probably do. Basically, I want to reestablish the character. Establish some new RP partners. Go where the scenes take me.
Best,
Simon's Player.

Re: Back
I’d certainly recommend looking through your old roleplay to get an idea for your character and how he was so you know how to move forward. Also, be sure to read through the chapters to catch up where you left.

Re: Back
Hi! I'd definitely be interested in rp'ing. So I can't stay on consistently right now, will probably come back more next week. So just gonna toss up a list (turns out this got split up over time, not short like I thought it would be). I guess you can look it over and get back whenever convenient, cause as is I am not in a rush.:
Antonio Segreti: A businessman who moved to Harper Rock out of fascination. He has had an interest in the supernatural all his life and took to history and the occult long before he heard about Harper Rock and it's real specimens. He came to Harper Rock and began studying everything, made himself a sorcerer rather fast in that search. He ran over myths and creatures galore but it was harder to find things that he could study that didn't want to kill him, including vampires since they still didn't feel like outing themselves personally. In spite of this, when the new laws came about surrounding vampires he actually went to defend them even though he had few experiences with them that didn't involve violence. He later came on to meet some and try and plan on how to help their case in the future. Although, recently three of them did send him to the hospital. Segreti is a ritualist as well, which I think fits well with his knowledge base. He has committed criminal acts and still does, but primarily indirectly, allowing one of his companies to work in underworld trading as long as they keep it non-violent.
Mason: She used to be a paladin, but was turned. Something she was very unhappy about. Actually she hates vampirism itself and has only begun to tolerate vampires individually. Because of this she can be rather reckless with herself and still goes after pretty much anything that is undead, even if it's a bit over her head at times. She's been doing this for awhile now and is pretty used to it. Technically, unless you count turning, she hasn't died yet. So she doesn't know what the Shadow Realm is like, nor that (as a mystic) she's going to be taking a body when she comes back from it. She still loves art, mainly visual art, but outside of that she has few interests. After becoming a paladin her life got absorbed into fighting, and she kind of lost hold of being a regular human.
Kyrie Dupres: Kyrie is my allurist vampire. A cajun bounty hunter who chased someone to Harper Rock, lost them, and then proceeded to become an accidental vampire. He took it well, after the initial shock, and as an allurist really felt he was pretty fortunate. He can still eat food. He has human complexion. And got Daywalker as well. He does have a tendency to hack the police database, which he's gotten rather good at. He used to do this so that he could increase the bounty on someone so he could profit more. He definitely prefers taking people in alive and before Harper Rock usually worked with other people to get his job done. Now he's still in kind of an uncertain zone, he isn't sure what he's going to do. And since his sire was also an accidental vampire, he doesn't have a whole lot of knowledge on them.
Galia: Complicated case. Human thief. Came to harper Rock and became a paladin. However, she remains unaware of this. She's got split personalities, one is the regular human thief who knows little of the vampire world. The other is her paladin side, it thinks however that it is a viking blessed by the gods and whose duty is to hold back the undead hordes. She's definitely got issues. Warrior Galia is considerably more violent than Thief Galia (though exclusively against undead or violent supernatural). However, because her stat points are more for thievery and crafting, she definitely uses traps. And she has quite a few of them. Galia is also my second lowest level character at present. She did manage to dual into sorcerer, so she has dark theurgy, which is pretty dang cool.
Valerian: Another character that hates the undead. However he's a Jorogomo. So unlike Mason or paladin Galia, he has no easy ways to tell who is what on grid. Rp wise he's basically an assassin, he does run business, but they're all organized crime. He's utterly disgusted by vampires so I have him go after the NPC's a lot. He definitely wants to protect the Jorogomo kind, which is where his hatred of undead comes from. He thinks of them as a threat. For a Jorogomo, he generally prefers to be on good terms with humans (even if they aren't meant to be mates). Though, if they're in his way, he still has little guilt in killing them. Valerian also tends to prefer hanging out with humans to his own kind (at least most of the time) due to the aggressively matriarchal nature of jorogomo's.
Tyler: New character. May be a placeholder, but I'm unsure. He's a harpy. He's also by far the most normal in spite of that fact. He came to Harper Rock more out of curiosity than anything else. He's a blacksmith as a job. Lost one of his legs as a child. Not quite as friendly as Kyrie is, but definitely more so than Valerian or Mason. He probably would enjoy just flying over the forests a lot as well. Unlike the others, he has no threads made for him as of yet. He knows little about vampires and even is unsure about other semi-deus. He basically plans on doing here the same thing he did with his family, blacksmithing. And he'll stay awhile before deciding where he plans to go. Whether he plans to stay and keep working, or just wants to go somewhere else.

I've been in his head for a long time, and vice versa. It's more reacting to the situation. Also, asking questions around the situation and going from there.Every wrote:I’d certainly recommend looking through your old roleplay to get an idea for your character and how he was so you know how to move forward. Welcome back!
I heard about the management change! Hopefully it has gone well.
Thank you.
Anyone that wants to cross paths with my character, PM me. Let's brain storm. I may not get to it until Tuesday due to my work week. I would quote everyone, but I am about to crash.

Welcome back!
It'll be great to see Simon around the streets again.
Definitely do check out the Wiki on Chapter and Story updates as there have been so many great advancements from when you left off. And do pop into the Discord for a chat, dear.

Re: Back
Any. I've been gone for a spell. So, establishing the new norms is a must. Simon needs to prove himself to the world between those that forgot him, past reputation, and probably a few other factors. This leaves me pretty open. The phrase, "There's nothing between us except air and opportunity" comes to mind. Name something, I'll probably be down to RP it.Bjorn wrote:What kind of plots are you looking for?
What sort of scenarios and character development do you find interesting/appealing for this character?
Tomorrow when I can brain better, Tuesdays I'm hit or miss due to work. Today I'm in a "the engine is running. It may not be running well, but just enough to function. This is a great f---ing idea though. Thank you for that!Myk wrote:Welcome back!

And just to reiterate, if people want to RP just shoot me a pm, too. I'll happily spitball ideas until there is something! (or reply here, and spitball here)
