Mason felt further sadness, but at least some sense of hope, at the child's reaction to the necklace. However reaching her arm around her found only air, a ghost. Like the spirit before them. And yet she looked at Mason, smiled, and told her thank you. Mason did her best to smile back as she watched the two begin to walk away before seeing the spirit turn into her mother, and soon they vanished.

The smog lifted revealing the wreck that was the building, and Mason's clothing and belongings in a pile. She looked at Ismael and smiled, a bittersweet smile, "Well...at least what needed to be done is done." she said lightly before standing up and brushing herself off, heading over to grab her clothes, revealing the weapons clearly meant for combat.

She picked them up and turned around with a pause and thinking, "Uh...I'm going to have to change." she said simply waiting for him before actually doing anything about it.

Ismael watched this unfold from a far and a small tear ran down his face. Mason was right though, they did what had to be done. Now at least they can rest in peace. It was for the best, even if it was a bittersweet end.

Mason began collecting her possessions and noticed something. She needed to get changed, Ismael was not thing for the moment as he says, "Yeah that would make sense". Then it clicked with him that it meant to leave so she can change. Ismael immediate response to this was, "Ohhhhhhh, yeah I don't mind if you change". As he jokingly stands there for a second longer then starts heading down the stairs to the floor below to give her some privacy.

Mason raised an eyebrow as he said it'd make sense but then simply remained for a few seconds before realizing, verbally. And heading out, "Thank you" she muttered as he turned to go, she quickly removed the coat and began putting on her clothes.

She didn't exactly need a ton, a t-shirt. Leather skirt, boots, there was a rather nice jacket on but she honestly used it mostly for the sake of pockets and the way it kept the sword from catching on things. She stuck goldfinger, a pistol, in its holster, and polyphemus across her back. The clothes still actually showed the tattoos on her legs and neck, after-all she was pretty much covered in them. But it was certainly more covering then a coat in an attempt to use as a one piece outfit.

She picked up his coat with the cut in it and walked out down the hall, "Done." she said aloud holding his jacket, folded by instinct, regardless of if he put it on or not. Keeping things neat made them more efficient. "Thank you." she'd said honestly as she found him, "For...a lot of things at this point."

Ismael sat there playing with some rubble and trying to skip it as far as he could, he ended up knocking a window out, but that was not his fault and he say that even to his last breath and on his will. Even if it was a giant lie.

He saw Mason coming down in her outfit, Damn ain't bad, definitely suits her better than just a blue jacket. When he was given his jacket he says, "Perfect", and immediately puts it on as he puts his hands into the pockets. Mason then continued to speak as she thanked him. He takes his hand out and just waves it and shakes his head "Hey don't mention it. In all honesty I should be thanking you for what happened down there. You saved my butt down there".

Mason glanced at the window, but, given the state of the rest of the building. Would anyone even notice? As she handed it over and thanked him he waved the fact aside, even mentioning her value in the fight below. She smiled,"And then I bit you." she reminded him, "But seriously, it really means a lot that you've stuck around. Regardless of what I am. But uh...what are we supposed to do now?"

She glanced at the empty room where once was the origin of all this, "I mean, it's not exactly something to report to the police. So...what should we do? Normally I just leave, but there's also not normally another person...or, you know, spirits."

The vampire put a hand over her mouth, "Oh crap...that would have made things easier." she muttered realizing she had a wraith. Literally a vampire spirit who obeyed her. Maybe she'd have had more to go off with him. Then waved a hand away, "Doesn't matter, what do you want to do from here?"

As she spoke of her biting him he just chuckled as he said, "Yeah, but eh don't remember it so I don't really count it". As she does bring up a fair point that he is used to as well, neither of them had really worked with another person. Ismael laughs as he says, "Yeah I know what you mean. Anytime things happen I either just get it done and leave, or I will quickly report it to the police then leave". he chuckles at the thought of him and her being like Batman. She'd definitely be more like Batman, He's kinda like night wing. She gets things done, while he does stuff. But that's all right.

She seems to have a revelation on something that would have made their ordeal easier. He was about to say what is it, but she decided to just brush it off, eh fine there are something that come and go. But now she asks a good question, what does he want to do and the first thing he can think of is, "Honestly I wanna go home and get some clothes. Mine are pretty much ruined. Oh, and also a shower". Ismael thinks how nice a shower would be at this point but gets back to the topic at hand, "Other than that, no clue. I've been living as I go so far. No real big plans guiding me, just a few goals. So if I was to do anything, it would probably be hit up the town some more and see if anything else is happening before heading off for the night".

As Ismael flips the question on to her, "So what do you want to do from here?"

Mason half smiled as he said the feeding bit didn't count. Still, it had happened. Well he did seem to have it somewhat similair to her. Except reporting to the police part. Mason, even as a paladin, didn't exactly do that. For one because she found if you were taking care of trouble in the gangsters slums, you got on their bad side.

She let out an understanding grunt as he mentioned his clothes being ruined and wanting to change and shower, she looked at the grime on her arms from especially the earthquake, "Yeah I'll be keeping that in mind today for sure." she muttered.

He did mentioned that if there was anything else, just head to town. Apparently the "do it as I go" type of person. Well in a place like this that probably wasn't a bad state of mind to have. You just couldn't rely on plans around here. Even clothes couldn't be relied upon to obey the laws of physics.

He returned the question to her and she had to think for a second, "I uh...I don't actually know. I don't usually do much after this but go home. After-all it's not like I can go for a drink anymore." She hesitated and corrected herself, "Well, I mean, I could but not that kind of drink...or, food in general. It's a bit disappointing to be honest. There aren't exactly many upsides to being a vampire aside from immortality, and aside from...being dead the first time. I haven't actually been killed since then. So, so far, everything's just been...kind of negative to me."

Macy stopped, "Sorry, got off track. I don't know honestly what I'd do. I like, uh, art. So aside from when I'm...well hunting. That's usually what I look at." she dramatically gestured to the tatooes that were up her neck, "As you can tell."

Ismael chuckled as she was trying to correct herself of a 'drink', "Yeah I know what you are talking about". As she continues her rant of how it is to be a vampire. Ismael was right about her, she doesn't find it at all as a thing she can find enjoyable. In all honesty it sounds like she hates it as it has taken things away from her, but she is still kicking, that is something to be happy about. But this isn't the time for that, they're here just talking after some heavy stuff, no need to try and drag it down with emotional stuff like that.

She began to talk about her like of art, giving rise to her many tattoos. Ismael , "I can tell. The ones I've seen are quite good". He then realizes that this could go on and on, 'And you know what. It's nice'. Definitely after what's happened over these past days. This is the most normal its been for Ismael, well…relatively. As it is not normal for him to stand there is tattered cloths, dust all over him, and just casually talking to a Vampire Paladin. Put in that perspective it is quite a strange day. Ismael says as he slightly chuckles, "I'm not sure if these any art galleries open at the moment so that wasn't an option, but hey I now a few cafes and ice cream parlors with art in them. They stay open pretty late and don't seem to close often. Why not we go to one in a while?". Ismael then says as he points to Mason then himself, "While you do the thing you like which is look at art, I can do the thing I like which is to stuff my face with ice cream"

There was pretty much nothing for Mason to be excited about in being a vampire. There were a few things she could do she couldn't before, like healing, and teleporting. But that was pretty much the biggest things in her mind. And she'd heard sorcerers could heal as well. Which only further convinced her there was truly nothing worth being a vampire over, if the choice was made.

Mason smiled as he explained the ones he'd seen were quite good, then jokingly added, "Thanks, though I'm pretty sure you saw all of them."

This might be the most normal it was for Ismael, but, ironically, it was the least normal for Mason. Vampires were the norm. Actually most anything undead. She'd even killed Sirens before, though not undead, they were also a threat she believed. The abnormal thing was that she'd done it this time with another person, and the whole...freaky spirit deal. Sure spirits weren't knew, she had enthralled a wraith...somehow. But other people aiding her in any of her endeavors, that was new.

She nodded with thought at the mention of art galleries not likely being open, but that there were ice cream parlors with art. Mason smiled and chuckled, "Yeah, sounds like a plan."

Unfortunately, there is just no such thing as peace in Harper Rock.

Because even on their way, a familiar smell wafted towards the two of them. Mason narrowed her eyes, "Blood."
