Can the blood of fish, octopi, reptiles, or other sea creatures be drunk from for vampires and still give sustanence? Obviously I haven't seen this as an option on grid, but they can indeed feed from things like rats and pigs. So I was hoping that blood of any animal might work.

I know fish blood would probably be very inefficient but maybe it has a different taste that some vampires enjoy (may make Kyrie a Cajun vampire, and if he's around sucking on a crocodile blood bag...well I just think that would be pretty interesting.)

If it bleeds, it can be fed from - though animals do much much less to sustain a vampire than humans do.

Subject: Chapter 8: The Father of Monsters

These microchips are being administered at every stop in Harper Rock and after October 31, 2019 - any vampire found without one faces legal repercussions.

I'm confused as to how these microchips are going to work, given Canon has established that Vampires are more spirit than matter.

And what happens to the microchip every time one of them 'dies' (are sent to the Shadow Realm) given that the majority of them turn to ash. Only the killer path's bodies would (I think) be able to 'retain' the chip, wouldn't they?

Vampires are spirit made flesh - they still have skin. The chip would just be super super easy to remove.

Though yeah, when a vampire dies (if they turn to ash), the chip will go offline. This just means that a vampire will have to get a new one.

That said, there's also nothing saying a vampire has to comply. In fact, I imagine a lot of vampires will try to find unique ways to avoid getting chipped if at all possible.

How would the American government take a stance on the vampires? Is it “not my country, not my problem?”

With regard to rp and lesser NPCs:

1: Is it possible for animals and other lower life forms to be turned? If so, with what possible results?

2: Is it possible for a living animal to be taken physically to the Shadow Realm and back? Or the spirit/essence of a deceased animal? If so, for either, what are some potential outcomes?

It's difficult to say at this point. They haven't taken an official stance just yet, though there are rumours circulating that there is growing unrest in the States because people are worried the undead scourge will eventually become the problem of the U.S.

Yeah. Vampiric animals are called 'Trayonetic' (which is based on what vampires originally called themselves). There are some of these vampiric animals on grid, and I believe one of the human dual classes knows how to make them.

They're basically created by someone feeding them vampire blood. So they're a bit like blood thieves and a bit like zombies and a bit like vampires. They don't have any powers the way vampires do, and they're mindless like zombies. They are just violent, and want to feed. They do have heightened strength, speed (and other physical attributes though).

Most often, attempts to make trayonetic animals likely results in death for the animal though.

No. Attempts to take living animals into the shadow realm will result in nothing really. Vampires travel there physically, but they do so as spirit beings. The animal would just be where they left it. And I don't believe any vampire knows how to contain the spirit or essence of a deceased animal in a way that they could transport it to the Shadow Realm.

Do vampire powers work outside of Harper Rock? Like, can you teleport to another continent and stuff like that?
