See things differently, most certainly, she had an unusual life all in all. He could only imagine what would happen if he'd grown up not knowing, only Jorogomo were arguably a little scarier then Harpies, especially as children. He'd probably have ended up killed.

She was right though, if she had tried to get pregnant, things were bound to go completely strange and something bad was liable to happen. She furthered mentioning her nomadic ways would have gotten in the way, and he had to nod in agreement to that as well. Somewhat, at least. Perhaps it would have made hiding a child like that easier, but it wouldn't make life much easier in general.

Ryan grinned as he heard her repeat the addition of the new realizations back to him, but in it there was some understanding that the less she knew the more trouble it was going to be for her to fit in. She took particular mentioning of the enthralling matter, then what purpose, then the realization it was probably for sex. Well...she was right in that that was probably what most of them did with it, but he wasn't about to confirm that suspicion outright it probably would only make things worse. And it wasn't like they couldn't enthrall without using them for only the purpose of reproducing, though it did make things easier.

The topic then switched to marking, something that she seemed concerned about as well, at least in some sense.

He had to let out a grunt of realization of difficulty when she said she wanted to see some of it in action, "Heh, um...I've never actually enthralled someone myself yet. I mean it's kind of difficult so I haven't exactly quite understood it. I think it's just like...convincing someone to agree with you permanently...or something along those lines. More then like a Master and Slave type thing?" he said in regards to the question of powers, "There are other things I know how to show you, walking on water, or saying hello to little friends, but you might do that too I wouldn't know." A spider crawled out from the log they were on and pattered across his lap for a moment where he let it crawl on a finger before putting it back inside. Spiders being naturally drawn to the Jorogomo regardless of their current form sometimes was a hindrance because it could give them away, but since he knew he could summon them in swarm to attack as well he believed it was a splendid trade off.

Ryan chuckled in response to her comment about him leaving already, "Well no no of course not! But better to remember it now then leave later and realize I can't find you right?" he commented, "Better safe then sorry right?"

Inca didn’t think it was physically possible for her brows to rise any further; as it was, she was starting to think she would need several Botox sessions when all was said and done. Like her old auntie had often told her - want your face to freeze like that? - it seemed she would be stuck in a permanent state of surprise. That was, until, she saw and processed everything for herself.

“Holy ****,” was all she could think to say at present.

She was about to ask him to show her the water trick, but then he spoke of little friends, and she watched, almost enthralled herself, the little spider come greet him, almost as if he had called to it in some subconscious way. “Something similar happens to me, only in the day. Falcons, usually,” she said with a shrug and a look to the sky. “If I sit long enough, quite a few of them end up circling for awhile.” A grin crossed her lips, even as he continued, and she slid her phone out of her back pocket.

“You’re right. Much better safe than sorry,” she agreed before she brought the screen to life and pulled up a new entry. It had been a learning curve, but she’d figured it out pretty quickly anyway.

“You tell me yours, I’ll tell you mine,” she said, unable to help herself or the suggestive meaning that could be derived from her words, if not her tone. It amused her to no end to keep people guessing, or to see what could be stirred from her voice alone. Even if she had the most benign of intentions, it was almost second-nature at this point.

Valerian had to chuckle as she let out another exclamation. That was fair, given how she had apparently been brought up. After seeing the spider come up she explained how it happened to her, but instead of spiders, with birds. He looked into the sky instinctively, imagining it, "Well that'd surely be an interesting thing to see." he responded.

His attention was drawn back to her as she drew out her phone and agreed, following it with an interesting comment, he let out a chuckle and a grin as he pulled out his phone, it was a tone that was not exactly unfamiliar to him and one that he returned with "Well, that's good with me." he answered before giving her his number and awaiting to see hers.

It was such an entertaining thing to speak with a Harpy, she was quite an interesting individual and he still hadn't quite gotten over her voice. Naturally, he was prone to expecting forms of manipulation and resisting them. Or at least remaining consciously aware of them, but he was much more used to what might come from other Jorogomo or Encantado, which were certainly different from a Harpies. So it was still an unusual experience.

He truly hoped that this interaction with her would not be their last, and that his decision to offer to get each others numbers would pay off in that route. He'd quite enjoy meeting with her again, however long their meeting now may end up lasting.

“I’ll have to show you sometime,” she said as she handed over her phone and accepted his in turn. She rapidly added her name and number to the screen and handed it back with a fresh grin and a raised brow. “Its always been like that and I have to move often so I don’t attract attention. Hope you can keep up,” she teased gently with a wink, laughing at his reply to her forward statement.

She sat back again, though, one leg crossed over the other and gently bouncing as she gazed upward for a moment, thinking. “So... what now?” Where to go from there? There was so much she wanted to know, to see... and she was counting on the sort-of reluctant gentleman beside her to take the lead. “I have no idea what to do first. What do you have in mind?” With so much information thrown at her that night, she was more than ready for just about anything.

He nodded with a smile as she said she could show him sometime, "Would look forward to it." he commented as the topic moved on. She mentioned having to move around a lot and saying she hoped he could keep up with a wink. He let out a chuckle and gave a thumbs up and a quick waggle of the eyebrows, "Well I'll do my best." he said with some confidence, she was quite enjoyable to be around. Not only because of her natural Harpy traits, but he realized, perhaps because she was a Siren but not one who would end up trying to eat him if he angered her. Kind of gave him a peace of mind. No need to keep many secrets, but also no need to be worried about getting killed.

He looked at his phone now with her contact information in it, making sure to save it away and put it back in his jacket watching as she leaned back and the questions returned. A what now. A problem of Where in the world they were supposed to go from here. Valerian leaned his elbows against his knees in thought as he kept watching her in thought, "Well, that's a good question. Guess it depends on what you want to do? I mean...at the moment I'm not sure what else I know is important. Do you want to just, do something you're used to? Maybe now, with a little more light shed on the situation, you'll know what questions to ask. Or I will notice something that I could help with. I mean, I don't exactly know you well enough yet to know what you don't know." he finished with a chuckle, a smile, and holding out his hands.

“Oh good,” she said with glee lacing her tone. Someone who could keep up with her was a rare thing indeed, and she quite looked forward to his rising to the challenge. It certainly didn’t hurt that his company was pleasant and not at all the territorial sort of hostility it seemed she would have to worry about from others of their kind. Especially with this City attracting a host of ... well, for lack of a better word, supernatural kinds.

That was a freaky thought, that she was counted among those now, rather than simply being a living, present-day embodiment of her people’s legends.

But then he was responding to her more vocal train of thought and it was her turn to look thoughtful and try to garner a sense of direction. “Well... what I would usually be doing is drinking and socializing right about now,” she said with a laugh. “But that seems so... ‘same old, same old.’” She shrugged a bit. “But, since that’s how we started the evening... maybe we could continue that,” she suggested. It would do a few things - loosen them up a bit in a safer setting, allow her to blow off the steam she’d been seeking to earlier in the night, and maybe shake a few questions loose that he could answer in context. “The night is young, let’s go have some fun!”

She seemed quite happy about his acceptance of her unusual situation. Though, so far, there hadn't been a ton that she hadn't seem truly fascinated at. Their conversation had gone on fairly long and she hadn't seemed to lose interest. Of course, neither had he, but it was always good when things were mutual.

She mentioned normally just drinking and socializing and he let out a bit of a chuckle, "Hey now that sounds familiar." he commented, given it was something he did pretty often as well. Though, he was often doing so with the possibility of a mate in mind. After all that was what he had been trying to do with the woman at the bar before, but other interests had come up for both of them. She still may come around, but right now she was far from on his mind.

Inca suggested that regardless of how often they did it, that was how this whole situation started, so why not just go ahead and do it anyway? He held out his hands in agreement, "Hey, true enough!" Valerian responded and let out a chuckle as she essentially repeated it but more ecstatically, he stood up with a smile and held out a hand to help her up if she needed it, "Well then let's have at it! Drink, dance, sing, talk, whatever comes along eh?" he added with a laugh.

A slow smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as he agreed with her suggestion. Excellent. They would hopefully - and more than likely - have an excellent time and she could perhaps get a better idea of how his kind operated at the same time. And, just maybe, run into a few others like them, too. After she stood and dusted herself off, she held a hand out to the male, waiting for him to take it.

A grin touched her features when he did and before they could do more than make some more small talk, they were back at the scene of the crime, so to speak. The bar was darkly lit and hazy with potential, some local band playing a good, sultry set. Inca gave a nod and a knowing grin to the bartender, who slid over not one but two glasses of her usual whiskey. She passed one to Ryan and perched herself on an open stool, waiting for him to join her at its open mate.

From there, she briefly scanned the crowd; not much potential that she could tell off the bat, but it was still early and she had to wonder just what the night had in store. So many revelations had already been made; who knew what else might rear its head?

He took her hand politely and smiled, soon enough the two would return to the playground of society. Aka, wherever parties or alcohol was distributed. As they arrived the Jorogomo felt the music play, there was already the interesting fact that a Jorogomo was more noticeable by how intriguing their movements were, which actually made dancing an incredibly interesting tool. Of course, it worked better for the females most of the time. But as long as he had a partner it worked rather well to get people interested.

Inca gave a nod to the bartender, who knew to hand over two glasses of whisky. Ryan chuckled as he received one of the glasses, smiling as he took a seat and raised the glass to her, "Unexpected friends.
He muttered before taking a drink from it and looking at the crowd with her.

It was what might be expected, mostly humans, or at least as far as one could tell. Vampires could be lurking around for all they knew. They didn't identify quite the same way the Sirens did which made taking note of them without more obvious traits a lot more difficult. He hadn't seen any other Sirens like them yet, but to be fair with the two of them already there he wasn't sure how many others would want to come around. After-all they tried to keep a relatively low profile in public, and with Ryan already visiting here, plus Inca, he imagined it might push off some others unless maybe Harpies were prone to not really caring about that. But who knew.

If the music might come up that would permit it, and nothing else of note come up to interfere, Ryan would lean his head to the side to speak to her offering a hand, "While we wait for something that can more easily take your interest, would you like to dance? Besides, maybe maybe the attention will give you a better view of what it's like as a Siren, now that you really know that your gifts really are pretty powerful." he prompted with a smile.
