Re: Voice doesn’t carry [c]
Several people are still having this issue. The use of apostrophes has been mentioned before, and this seems to be my issue. Whenever an apostrophe is used, I get “”. I can speak the same thing again without an apostrophe and it works perfectly.
I tend to be on an iPhone using the Safari browser if that helps.
Thanks

I think this is maybe fixed, but I don't want to mark it until we're sure. I've tested it and it seems fine, but ...

Unfortunately, the problem is still there, at least it is for me. The use of an apostrophe still gives a blank “” post. It’s not really a big deal; I’ll just have to offend people on the grid in a grammatically incorrect manner

You mean just speaking on the grid as normal? It works fine for me with an apostrophe.

Yes, just normal speech on the grid. I’m pretty sure this is an iPhone/iPad issue. Whenever an apostrophe is used with either device, I only get “” showing up, but I’ve just tried writing on a laptop, and it works perfectly.Mooncalf wrote:You mean just speaking on the grid as normal? I've tested this on Android, so yeah it's not exclusive to mobiles, but possibly iPhones for some reason. Maybe the type of apostrophe it uses on iPhone keyboards.
I notice you're using: ’
Whereas I'm using: '
I wonder if that's it?
ETA: That might have been it. Try now?

Re: Voice doesn’t carry [c]
It still doesn’t work, but I think you’ve hit the nail on the head about the type of apostrophe that is used on an iPhone.
I’ve just done a quick test by trying to make some changes on my Character Sheet. In the Settings section, you can use html to add pics, change font size etc. You need to use “” around various commands such as “font-size” etc. I’ve noticed that the “” on the iPhone doesn’t allow the changes to be made, and that they actually look different to the “” that I’d already added by using my laptop.
Basically, on an iPhone both the ‘ and the “ look different to the same symbols typed when using my laptop, and both don’t seem to work. So, it’s probably just an iPhone (& iPad?) issue with apostrophes and speech marks.
On a scale of things, we’ll probably survive
