I have left Mackenzie in a square for a while now, only logging on to do business dilemmas.
However, I've noticed that every so often, she'll just stop recharging energy, despite being outside of a meditation square (Serp 12, 11).
I noticed this back in early May, but it resolved itself within a day or so (I wasn't logging on consistently), and I thought little of it.

It's back though.

To recap -- not in a meditation square.

Another random titbit: I tried to move her left and I got the You are out of energy... message, but now she's not in vacation / inactive mode. Despite not moving her. And previously, throughout the past two months, she has been vacation / inactive while running business dilemmas.

The problem is that keeping yourself in inactive / vacay mode means you don't gain energy, and businesses don't kick you out of vacay mode. However, I'll make it so that it will kick you out of vacay mode now. So, essentially fixed. :)
