I've been called worse. I guess we're all free to believe as we wish, but I don't see how believing in Vampires - outside of popular fiction - is beneficial to anybody. I'm sure we have all had our moments where we fantasized about what it would be like if we were chosen by Count Dracula or Lestat, but odds aren't in our favor when it comes to being Turned if these fictional entities were ever to become real; instead, we would likely just be a casual meal for them, and either have our memories erased, or end up with our bodies disposed of. Where's the glory in that?

No, I prefer to think more along the lines of cyborgs and advanced Artificial Intelligence. THAT seems entirely more possible, in my honest opinion, and a lot more practical.
