When a vampire joins the game, they choose a sire which, hopefully, gives them a built-in helping hand to navigating the city both IC and OOC.
Humans don't currently have that kind of built-in support system.
The suggestion is to create a 'mentor' position for humans. It could be either someone to take them under their wing or the person that taught them that class (for classed humans).
I see it as being an optional thing that can be either chosen on creation, classing or via the 'More Commands' menu, but once one is selected, it can't be changed.
RP-wise there's a lot of possibilities.
Grid-wise, there's still a lot of possibilities depending how it was set up. Instead of bloodlines, the lines could be 'schools' or something else. Or the lines could just not play a role.
One thing I would like to see grid-wise is some sort of bonus to stats when mentor and mentee are in the same square. It doesn't have to be defensive, but perhaps rather something that reflects the learning process?
Please start a thread in Game Discussion to discuss this.
