"Mordechai..." She purred as she returned to his side. If she'd meant to keep it a secret, the cat was now out of the bag as she settled against his side. "What do you think? I was told this is...retro? Good old fashioned fun. I even bought old games off of a man who called himself a -carnie-!" She explained, her voice getting faster as her excitement grew beyond her anxiety of making sure that everything was properly in place. She definitely didn't know what a carnie was.

She stepped out of her wine colored car and glanced back to the large man behind the wheel. "Don't forget to feed Ur and Haruka Joseph. I'll probably not be home tonight." she closed the car door and stepped aside. The Lamborghini sped off and she was left outside.
With a brisk pace she entered the building where she was stopped. She snapped her hand back and cast a silent glare at the man blocking her path. She sighed as she read the note before taking removing a glove and placing the ring on herself. She walked into the main room and took a place as she observed the happenings.

There had been quite a few split feelings between entering the auction and deciding against it. At the very last moment, she's decided ultimately to hold off from this year. Perhaps she could donate a bit more cash directly to the cause, or perhaps she could simply observe - there was always next year. After tucking her card into the top of her dress, Every stepped inside.
She thanked the man who gave her the ring, sliding it into place on her hand. Her mind was undecided in regards to placing bids - perhaps on Lea, or maybe Aviana. As she passed Amalea, Every gave her a wink and a soft telepathic, "Don't you look lovely" before moving into the crowd. She could feel the effects of the Eirene's Will ritual and relaxed her shoulders, her fingertips opening the envelope as she began to read over the description. It was an interesting concept, really, a brilliant one at that.
"It would certainly help track who holds up their bargains." She murmured to herself before folding the piece of paper and tucking it away into the thin bag upon her shoulder. Her thumb moved over her wrist before she made her way around to look at the auction cards in place. There were interesting candidates, at least.

Aden made his way through the groups of people until he found a spot that no one occupied away from everyone else and took a seat. Decided he would observe what was going on he figured eventually things would get underway. he wondered if he was actually going to get a bit and what was going to happen when all this was said and done. But all that would unfold on its own. Never understood why vampires want to go to clubs when you can't drink. I guess if you are of the path that could at least might make sense. But he wasn't a fan for wining and dining. Bars were just a source of place to get food. And he wasn't here to get food tonight he wasn't quite sure what he was going to do.

Lowering his head, Mordechai inhaled deeply as his lips caressed the side of her neck. It is, I believe, quite 'retro'. Taking in her outfit now that he was inside her 'space' the rumbling purr returned, "I think is is a good thing the catholic cannabis was burned, or some of these males would not leave with their eyes properly attached... You are simply ravishing."

The red-head's eyes swept over the pair of Amara and Mord. She would go over later, perhaps with a drink for each. For now, though, she let them be. Watching them interact would prove to be enlightening.
She gave Every a small smile as she saw her, glad to see the woman in a single piece and out and about. Thank you, you cleaned up well, yourself Her mental voice was light upon the other's mind with a hint of amusement.
She would have to mingle and glance though the cards to see whom would tickle her fancy to potentially bid on.

Re: -x-Necropolis Charity Auction 2018 -x- [Main RP]
So ya been to the market,
And the meat looks good tonight,
And the ladies in waiting,
Will show ya– what it’s all about…
She came as herself. No fancy dresses and heels. Just her normal colorful confusion of silks, sashes and scarves. This night she wore a ‘sugar skull’ makeup on a whim.. She showed her invitation and stepped into the club and glanced around. Ah, a carnival! She had spent a good portion of her childhood working in places like this. A small wave of nostalgia and memories– good and bad– washed over her as she began to see who was up for sale. Sadly, in all the confusion and rush she did not get her own prizes arranged and entered in time. No worries, there was always the next one to play in.
The selection is inviting,
And they sure look hot tonight,
And the ladies in waiting,
Will show ya– what it’s all about…
A song she remembered by KISS kept running through her head as she checked the list of who was who. She laughed as she read the card for one of them.
”Not worth my dime or my time anyway,” she laughed to herself. The arrogance of some never ceased to amaze her. Judging by the bidding in progress, the love fest was off and rolling along for some here.
There were more interesting people to consider spending her money on.
But first– to business.
She climbed up on a chair (to avoid levitating in front of so many living souls) and looked over the crowd. Ah, there he was. Gently, she began to work her way to her goal. She spied a few she knew and gave them a wink in passing. Mort, Tia, Alex. Some of the others were totally new to her, but she saw one or two that was worth closer inspection. Eventually she stepped behind the giant and tugged on his coat tails.
”My, my, my, brother of mine. In December we was hunting spider women, now in April I find you in the arms of one.” She grinned as he looked down at her. ”But it’s okay if this one catches you.”
And so you move on down the line,
All the ladies are looking fine,
So fine,
Ladies in waiting…
Some day I'm gonna be happy. I don't know when just now

Re: -x-Necropolis Charity Auction 2018 -x- [Main RP]
‘Pop!’ The dart pierced it’s bright red target releasing a dying balloon’s typical bang. He’d thrown darts with some real winners in the past, but the young vampire’s aim had certainly improved since succumbing to death’s embrace. He aimed his second dart before casting it with a steady ease unleashing a second loud ‘pop’ from the amusement booth. The carnival theme had been an unexpected twist to an evening he hadn’t been quite sure about. Prior to his arrival, he had to continually remind himself that this event wasn’t a slave auction and he didn’t have to be morally outraged by attending. Now as he readied his third dart, confident that it would strike it’s brightly colored mark, Jack had eased into the atmosphere. It was nostalgic, reeking of a lost youth.
The allurist didn’t dress up. He didn’t really own anything ‘dressy’ or formal. In his mind there wasn’t much of a point to do so. So donning his black, worn leather jacket, a black t-shirt, a pair of faded jeans, black boots, and his blue and gray patchwork, ivy cap, Jack was glad to at least see that he didn’t stick out like a sore thumb. The shade of a girl long past had her spectral arms wrapped around his waist, a weightless head resting on his shoulder, as he made ready to launch that last dart into one of the waiting latex, air bombs displayed on the wall before him. She whispered bitter sweet nothings into his ear and truthfully she had been the one to draw him here.
Jack wasn’t one for these kind of things, the thoughts of trafficking aside. He didn’t trust charities and often felt that the monies collected failed to reach the victims of this devastation or that catastrophe, but instead lined the pockets of some corrupt bureaucrat or administrator. He could only hope that vampires did things better, especially considering this particular cause. With recent events being what they were, his people could use some good press or, at the very least, some reprieve from being scapegoated. At any rate, the hostess seemed classy and legitimate. Plus she was a carnival fan.
So why come at all then? Beautiful women? Temptations of temporary power? Seeking to squander a little coin? Loneliness and boredom? None of the above really. Jack had his own reasons, aside from the sway that his phantom held over him. In truth he hadn’t planned on bidding, though that woman in the blue dress was quite striking. When she had caught the young vampire’s eye, he nearly dropped his dart. There was just something in the young woman’s eyes...It was no wonder that presently there seemed to be a bidding war on for her soul.
The third dart loosed from between his inked fingers, one displaying the ring he was given at the door. Jack found it odd that the jeweled token fit like a glove. The dart met its mark and the slick talking, mustached, dude behind the counter congratulated the allurist on his success, presenting him with an orange, stuffed porcupine. Jack wasn’t quite sure what he was going to do with the thing, though May’s ghostly laughter was filled with delight. He tucked it under his arm and wandered into the crowd.

The red-head had mingled a bit and bid on a few before finally gathering her courage to ask her question of Mortll. Of course, in her nervousness, she hadn't made inquiry clear, leaving the Necromancer to think the blood thief was asking her agree to her terms. The resulting conversation was not one that Amalea had expected to have nor had she been prepared to do so.
With a pause to inform James she was heading downstairs, the red-head made her way down to one of the balconies that overlooked The Dungeon floor. Leaning against the railing, her eyes roamed over the sight below her as she attempted to reign in the emotions that threatened to break free to cause havoc.
It was one thing to plan to bid as she had in the manner she had. It was another to actually bid and have to justify oneself. A real crash course in the reality of it all. She had come close to revealing more than she wished which drove those emotions to the surface.
She sighed softly as her eyes fluttered close for a moment, a deep breath shakily steadying her high-strung nerves. She'd have to rejoin the party upstairs shortly, but this moment she needed first.

"I try my best." She replied, her own amusement evident with a chuckle that followed as she read some of the information given by the individuals on the auction block. It was different to see varied individuals willing to put themselves up, but also kudos that fell upon silently. Vulnerabilities could be manipulated, if not careful.
"I'm starting to think I need to go out more often. I don't recognize some of the faces here."
The thought had Every's eyebrows furrowing together. Mordechai, although he was beating to the rhythm of his own delusions, was family through Worthington and a faction mate. Alexandrea, one whom Every had roughed up previously, although it had never been personal. A smile was given to the woman in passing as she continued from card to card to card. She recognized Amaranthia and could only applaud how the woman paired with Mordechai, really. Although she wouldn't admit it out loud, she was glad to see he'd moved on from Kennedy.
Zodiac out and about had Every lift her eyebrow, as it was an unusual sight.
But, welcome nonetheless.
It was also good to see more of the elders returning and being out once more.
Tucking her hair once again behind her ear, the hazel eyed shadow looked around and frowned at the missing individual. "Lea? Are you alright?" She reached out mentally as she made her way through the crowd. Her hand brushing the back of another patron to which Every said, "Sorry." Her heels made soft clicks as she debated on whom she could converse with, and carefully looked for a trace of her friend.
At least she knew she was safe in the Necropolis.
