Amaranthia
"Amalea...I have a question for you. Of course you can say no, but..." The allurist straightened her robe, as she leaned back on one hip against the bar.
Amalea
"Sure, what's up?" She gave the allurist a gentle smile as she joined her by the bar.
Amaranthia
"I know it's not custom, but I was thinking it might be enjoyable...for the three of us, if I won your auction if I could bring along Mordechai, since you know my secret."
Amalea
Her head tilted slightly as she took in the woman's question, "I would not be opposed to that, if it's what the pair of you wish." She paused for a moment, "Even if you didn't win, I still wouldn't mind."
Amaranthia
The allurist chuckled at the last part, "I'll certainly keep that in mind. I'm not going to allow you to fall in to harm's way, but I do want to ensure you have an enjoyable time with the auction. I won't let Mordechai fall into the wrong hand's either, and as such I considered that there could be much fun between the three downstairs. He's not been acquainted yet with it, from what I understand."
Amalea
She giggled softly at the last comment, "I'm surprised that he isn't given how long he's been around this city." She paused for a moment, backtracking to the first comment, "I knew there was potential for harm; I took that risk willingly." She shook her head lightly, "I will enjoy the evening, I have no doubt. Though, I wouldn't precisely say no to a pleasant service period either."
Amaranthia
She felt his presence, as it disturbed the peace, her lips curling up into a grin, as she moved a finger to her lips with a wink at the woman. "Mum's the word, my dear."
Amalea
She nodded, smiling quietly. It was going to be an interesting night
Amaranthia
Not missing a beat, the allurist fell back into the conversation "I know you took the risk willingly. And I know you'll be a good sport. I think you'll quite enjoy yourself during your service period as well...I'll be quite honest, after my hiatus from the city, I'm a bit...concerned on my own. But it would be rather hypocritical for me to host and not offer my own services."
Seva Soryimova
walks through the door to the oddly named nightclub, jumps over the bar counter and takes a bottle of vodka before sitting down and waiting for the manditory auction thing that he is supposed to go to.
Mordechai
?me stepped from the shadows, Standing behing the silver eyed allurist. His arms slid possesively around her as he graced the crown of her head with a chaste buss
Amalea
"I will," she promised quietly, knowing she had put herself in harm's way almost quite deliberately. "I think you'll be fine, honestly. I would hope you end up with a lovely service period as well." It was then she noticed Mordechai, "Good evening."
Amaranthia
The allurists back straightened, as a pulse drew through her nerves, drawing in an unnecessary breath she smiled "Well hello there, handsome."
Mordechai
nodded to amalea as he watched the latest arrival, not acting immediatly, as the hostess was there and he moght be an acquaintance of hers.
Amaranthia
James continued greeting guests, as instructed placing rings upon each who entered while Moria kept the bar well stocked and running to meet the requests of those who were joining them. They only needed say the word, and their drink would be delivered promptly. The woman took great pride in her work.
Seva Soryimova
chugs half the bottle of vodka and gags before looking at the bottle. 'Titos? Utter crap vodka...
Every
tucked her hair behind her ear as she entered the Necropolis, the club a place where she'd gone to in her earlier days as a vampire. Although she'd decided against joining the auctions herself, Every had a few questions later on in regards to donating for the evening in other ways.
Seva Soryimova
drops the bottle on the floor and takes out his own private reserve
Amalea
Amalea turned to the mistress of the club and the one wrapped around her, "Drinks?"
Amaranthia
frowned furrowing her brow at the bottle being tossed to the floor. A gaze was cast to Moira, and the order was quickly sent to have it cleaned up. "Seva...why are you throwing glass on my floors?"
Seva Soryimova
looks up in surprise as the female addressed him. 'Who the hell are you and how do you know who I am? Or is it that the evil flesh eat females tend to share information on their most wanted in the blasted city?'
Seva Soryimova
eating*)
Amaranthia
"I'm not some spring chicken, I've had my eyes upon each who cast their lots into the auctions. I'm the proprietor, the owner of The Necropolis Nightclub, welcome."
Seva Soryimova
shrugs 'I dont even know what this is about but I dont like random females spying on me. It tends to make me....nervous...' He takes another chug of his vodka not caring that vodka makes him sick ever since he entered Harper Rock. Though he has yet to figure out why.
Yasu
seemed to eye the mixture of folk from afar, drawn from his loitering and occasional glance towards his book by what seemed like tense conversation. He opted to avoid any drink for tonight, not really one to partake in it much.
Mordechai
stepped forward killing the fadebeast at the door, surprised when his strike took it down, upon entering he had scented the burnt stench of catholic cannabis, and had asumed a demifae guarded the bar. Eyeing up two of the latest arrivals he contemplated testing that theory more fully, before once more slipping behind the woman in the Loubotin stilettos. A smile tweak at his lips as he thought of the allurist both training and wearing stilettos
Amaranthia
Amaranthia turned to face the man behind her, having made sure to wear heels that would meet his height this time, which had been quite a feat to be sure, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Excuse me for a moment..." Once, twice, thrice, heels struck the floor with a firm click, eating away the distance between where she had stood with her companions to the main stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my privilege and honor to welcome you to my establishment. The Necropolis Nightclub welcomes you, and seeks to enable your darkest desires my darlings. It is my privilege to host this great community event bringing together vampires, and mortals alike along with those who might wish not to be named. May we all enjoy a night of community. I hereby..." she paused to glance down at the small pendent upon her wrist containing a watch "pronounce the auctions open for bidding!"
Seva Soryimova
thinks to himself 'Vampires? Is that what they are calling the women here now? Evil blood sucking leaches....everyone knows vampires arent real...'
Yasu
felt a flicker of surprise at the blatency of the statement. He'd certainly heard the rumors, but to see and hear it from what could hardly be such an elaborate prank setup, it was still a tricky thing to digest. He made no comment, but simply observed as quietly as he often did.
Amalea
The red-head smiled as Amara approached the stage as that could only mean bidding was about to open. Everything they'd put together over the past couple weeks had been for this moment, this night. The one time for her to be back in her element in her second home; her Bane safely tucked away for the occasion She would enjoy this event and worry about tomorrow when it came.
Tiamat
she moved through the crowd silently and took a seat as the auction got underway. she toyed with the weird ring on her finger and crossed her ankles. She began having reservations about this after the weird man tried to put the ring on her.
Amaranthia
Slipping once more through the crowd, Amaranthia made sure to greet each contestant, offering them her sincere gratitude for their support and the donations of time, effort, and some their blood and tears, before making her way back to Mordechai.
Every
twisted the ring that she'd been given absently in thought as she ignored her faction mate's presence, the shadow making her way to a less crowded area of the club. As the auctions were opened, Every lifted her hands to clap them together to show her enjoyment. A smile was given to Amalea as a sign of encouragement and 'good luck' given to her friend, and then to their hostess to show her gratitude for what she was doing before folding her arms in front of her chest and watching.
Yasu
was a little puzzled by the personal show of gratitude offered, though he'd simply bow his head and decide to ignore the part about 'blood and tears' mentioned. "My pleasure," was all that was said just before she moved on to the next person. He seemed content with his people-watching for the moment, as well as the occasional glance towards the book he was reading.
Amalea
gave Every a small smile as she headed to the bar. She was glad to see the other woman was in one piece as well as out and about. She spoke quietly to Moira acquiring a glass of water for herself. In truth, she would have preferred something a bit stronger, but never partook when her blood was on offer. It wasn't good practice to do so.
Amaranthia
Amaranthia smiled to Every, as she encouraged Amalea "Thank you..." she whispered to the woman, she knew Amalea needed all the encouragement right now she could get. "Thank you for joining us."
Aden-OCarrol
made his way over to an empty chair and taking a seat.
Seva Soryimova
stared at all the people in the club shaking his head in disapproval. His twisted mind imagining each one's skin catching fire and melting off. Their screams of agony that would have filled the air until the nuclear shock wave hit them and their bodies blew apart like a pile of freshly raked leaves. He sighs wishing his attempt to destroy Harper Rock hadnt failed.
Tiamat
she rose from her seat, smoothed her very short dress, and headed to the bar for a drink. "this is going to be...a long night I think." She motioned for the bar tender and ordered her drink before slipping her long black gloves over her hands and forearms.
Aden-OCarrol
looking at the envelope as it sets in his lap and taking the ring and walking it across the fingers on his right hand walking all the way down his pinky and walking it all the way back up. Currently amused by it and the presence of the place.
Amaranthia
The flash of silver caught her eye, and she furrowed her brow. Quietly slipping over to the one who had called himself 'Red' she whispered "Please, taking off the ring puts you at risk. It should have sealed upon being placed upon your finger, maybe you just moved too quickly for James to place it firmly. But for your safety please don't try to remove it." Maybe it was a different ring...maybe, but it concerned her. As soon as the man put the ring back on, she was sure with the touch of her blood it would seal to his finger as designed.
Yasu
shook off the slightest chill that crawled down the back of his neck, feeling at least one of the many gazes passing over to be rather.. unfriendly. He still opted to avoid drinks of a mind-twisting sort, but he did eventually tuck the book under his arm and briefly abandon his post so that he might approach the bar, ordering a simple glass of apple juice as he took a position next to a rather.. scantily dressed female. Tiamat didn't get more than a brief, polite glance, even as the spectre shadowing him had a number of choice words for her attire that made a slight scowl cross Yasu's features.
Aden-OCarrol
looks up at her"I haven't put it on yet."
Every
gave a soft nod of her head, catching the whisper as she said, "I wouldn't have missed it. I actually was going to join myself, but decided against it at the last moment. I'm happy to be here." The shadow said before the other slipped off to another. After a few moments, Every found herself a seat and crossed one leg over the other. Her attention focused on her surroundings, although she was pleased to feel the ritual in place.
Amaranthia
"How did you get through the doorway without doing so? James wasn't supposed to let anyone in. It protects you from any harm while on my property tonight. Would you mind please putting it on?"
Aden-OCarrol
smirks" I've never been one to follow instructions"
Seva Soryimova
overhears the conversation about some sort of 'ring' and wonders if he was supposed to be wearing one too.
Amaranthia
"I'm afraid if you refuse, then you will be removed from the premises. I will not risk the safety of my guests."
Amaranthia
OOC NOTE: Upon entering this Auction, and the Necropolis the RP clearly states you had a ring placed upon your finger. You won't get to participate if you don't work with me on this folks. ~Ash
Seva Soryimova
(Seva never got one >.>)
Aden-OCarrol
chuckles as he tosses the ring up as it floats he smiles and as it falls back down in the air perfectly lets it land on his middle finger.
Seva Soryimova
reaches into his pocket as he suddenly remembers the ring that he was mysteriously given. After inspecting it for a few moments he puts it on against his better judgement
Amaranthia
The allurist gives him a charming smile, "Thank you, Red, I believe it was from your submission. I greatly appreciate your being willing to work with us, for all of our safety."
Aden-OCarrol
No one's ever safe that's an illusion.
Amaranthia
"And that," she winked as she walked away "is why I was willing to offer a boon to the demifae to ensure the safety of my guests. I leave nothing up to chance."
Tiamat
Tiamat glanced over at the sudden commotion and raised an eyebrow. "Tonight, is certainly going to be an interesting night indeed."
Aden-OCarrol
Anything that can be done can be undone there's always someone more powerful and someone else could use a Demifea. But I don't plan on causing problems. And why not I signed up for this adventure did not..I appreciate the hospitality.
Amaranthia
"Thank you kindly for working with me. We have much, as a society, to do to rebuild bonds that have been injured. I am old enough to remember having witnessed first hand what happens when that trust is not rebuilt" Her gaze fell upon the red-head, her original blood doll Amalea, "It is a truly terrifying prospect I will do everything in my power to prevent from every becoming reality again." She shuddered.
Yasu
eyed the situation as well, nodding along with the womans idle comment. He sipped his drink slowly, as if savoring it as he turned forwards once again. "Interesting, certainly," he agreed softly.
Aden-OCarrol
well I'm deftly not going to help with rebuilding bonds. I'm probably going to be one of those people that makes us more difficult on you later after this is all over. because me and some paladins have some business to settle.
Seva Soryimova
mumbles to himself something about how her precious society will be a smoldering radiation pit if he ever finds a way out of this city
Amalea
Amalea had the good grace to blush as Amara's gaze fell upon her. She knew what the woman was referring to; they all did, she suspected. The red-head was still incredibly grateful for the woman's support and wisdom.
Amaranthia
Amaranthia turned her gaze to Mordechai, she hadn't been acquainted with the paladins and therefore wasn't quite sure what the male's comment referred to. Reaching out telepathically she asked Amalea "What is he implying when he said that he has business to settle with the paladins...I'm unsure what the paladins wanted."
Amalea
The red-head shook her head at the thought, replying in kind, "I believe they're locked in some sort of feud with each other if rumor serves right. One vampire versus several paladins. I'm not sure as to the why, though. Most paladins, though, not all dislike vampires."
Amaranthia
The allurist with silver hued eyes nodded almost imperceptibly thanking the woman "I do not believe paladins were given invites. So I believe you are in friendly company. When I spoke of bonds, I am most concerned between those of the vampire community and the human community. I spent far too much time in the realm of shadows to curse another to that fate without great consideration of any other consequences."
Aden-OCarrol
smirks " But tonight is not about that it's about this interesting adventure that involves this weird ring on my finger."
Mordechai
slipped closer to Amaranthia, one hand landing on the small of her back in a show of support as she spoke with those that had not quite followed her requests, tho as of now, it seemed diplomacy might win the night
Amaranthia
Amaranthia leaned into the familiar hand, offering her support. She needed it, this conversation kept reminding her of how very much she had to learn when it came down to the violence of the city. No longer could she turn a blind eye, and keep to her patron and businesses, as she once had done. "Yes, yes it is. I think you will find yourself enjoying the time as it passes."
Aden-OCarrol
eye light up soon a Mord makes his way over." You smell like you've been soaked in blood. And that's the strongest presence I felt since I've been in the city. Your interesting."
Amalea
She gave a soft smile to the allurist. The woman had quite the way with words which she was grateful for this evening.
Amaranthia
Feeling her blood doll, yes Amaranthia would always consider Amalea HER blood doll, smile at her in support she returned it, along with a soft whisper "You're doing excellent."
Seva Soryimova
reached into his trench coat and half pulled out his Makarov PM service pistol to make sure it was loaded before carefully putting it back in its place. Though he has yet to use it in this horrid city due to being in hiding, he cant help but shake the feeling that his pistol may yet see action tonight
Amaranthia
Amaranthia raised her brow at the pistol, chuckling inwardly. She had full confidence in Erriene's Will, there would be no violence here tonight, though she couldn't say the same for blood shed.
Yasu
Yasu eyed the drawn weapon, feeling a flicker, a spark of that warning in the back of his mind. Fortunately the weapon was slid away soon after, but it didn't do much good for his nerves. Now well aware of the sort of.. creatures he was mingling with, he kept a wary eye out, sipping his drink a little slower on occasion.
Amalea
"Thank you," she whispered back ever so softly, grateful for the small reassurance. She was certain about her decision to participate, but that didn't mean there weren't some butterflies present.
Amaranthia
Speaking up, so that it would disperse throughout the crowd she addressed Amalea "Thank you so kindly for placing Eirene's Will, I used it downstairs in The Dungeon, and you've got the main floor covered. It's nice to feel...safe."
Every
made her way over to the lone individual with the book, a friendly smile crossing her lips as she said, "You can't be hurt here, if that's what has you distant here." Her hazel eyes showed curiosity. It was interesting to see more humans getting involved with the auctions, but she thought they needed more that weren't anti-vamp, didn't they?
Amalea
An eyebrow raised slightly at the rise in Amara's voice as she smiled, "It was my pleasure to do so."
Yasu
Yasu eyed the woman that approached, the book lowered a little. Though he didn't smile, his expression was friendly enough as he bowed his head. "I'm certain you're right," he agreed. "I'm.. not really fond of crowds though," he admitted, the book closed and tucked away as he directed his attention fully towards Every.
Seva Soryimova
removes his satchel from his back and counts how many landmines and sentry turrets he has, eager to find some loophole to this fake spell thing. The whole idea that someone could chant a few words of mumbo jumbo and control his will was too farfetched. However on the very slim chance that it was indeed true...he wanted a way to counter it.
Tiamat
the movement from the corner of her eye caught her attention. Her gaze narrowed and she took a slight step away from the pair nearest to her. She got the bartender's attention and ordered a double shot of whiskey. With a quick flick of her wrist, she downed the drink.
Every
chuckled quietly, "As long as I can remember, this has been a no-violence club. I'll admit it's not too far back to my knowledge, but we're good here." She explained, gesturing to the seat opposite. "Crowds can be difficult to handle. I understand that. Would you like some company?"
Aden-OCarrol
notices the crazy guy. Decided that apparently he was the only one that like fancy parties.
Aden-OCarrol

Aden-OCarrol

Yasu
Yasu bowed his head, showing no issue with the company. If anything, it was welcomed. "Of course. This is my first time here, so I admit I.. don't really know much about the place." Glasses that were worn for the sake of reading were set aside with his book, and his hands folded in front of him lightly. "I take it you come here often?" He suppressed a cringe as a certain spectre poked at the rather cheesy line, but otherwise ignored the uninvited, always present third wheel.
Every
felt her lips twitch in amusement before she gave a shake of her head. "It's been a while. I came to support the cause and a friend." In reality, she felt she had to do something given her thrall had been the one that decided to give her blood to open the rift. It didn't matter what others thought - if she had told her to do it, if she hadn't. The fact was, Locryn had. She wasn't denying it. "Are you enjoying it so far?" She inquired as she slid into a seat, adjusting her skirt over her legs afterwards.
Amaranthia
Amaranthia ducked into her office quickly to update the totals above each auction booth to ensure all the numbers were correctly displayed before returning to Mordechai's side. "All current bids are reflected." The announcer called out above the dim of the crowd.
Yasu
Yasu tipped his head, thoughtful, though it wasn't such a strange reason. He didn't quite have any support of his own present, nor did he expect it though. "It's.. been interesting, I suppose. I haven't quite been here long enough to judge appropriately." He took a slow sip from his juice once he said this, looking around just for a moment.
Amalea
The red-head was still shaking her head over the bidding war that had erupted on her own. It was one thing to suspect there might be interest, but another entirely to see it in action.

Every
snickered at Lea's reaction before she then gave a nod in understanding. "It's usually not this quick paced, I assume. But the changes are always good to see. What are you looking for in your 'owner' for lack of a better word?" She questioned.
Yasu
Yasu found the title a little.. uncomfortable, but he hid his feelings well. He shifted instead to a thoughtful look as he lowered his glass to the counter, ignoring the taunting over his shoulder that only graced his ears. "I don't really have any expectations, but the funds are for a good cause. So I suppose I'm just.. looking to see what comes of it. If nothing else, it's a nice excuse to be away from the shop for a little while."
Amalea
"I know," she replied softly. She shook her head lightly, "It would depend on who won." Her nose twitched as she lightly sighed, "The contract is there."
Every
reached over to gently give Lea's hand a squeeze, "I did read it. You definitely put thought into it, Lea." She chimed in approval. Turning her attention back to the man, Every gave another nod and smile. "It is, and that's understandable."
Amalea
She smiled at the woman lightly, "Thanks. I tried." She smiled at the male, "Sorry."
Yasu
Yasu looked from Every to Amalea, quietly for a moment, then took another careful sip of his drink. His mind was busy at work, curious as to just whom in the room was as human as himself, and who wasn't. He shook his head slightly, offering Amalea a polite, brief smile. "There's nothing to apologize for."
Every
chuckled, "It's definitely something I would do." She then motioned to the redhead, "This is Amalea, the friend I mentioned. I'm Every, or Eve for short, and you are?" She'd seen the card and placed a bid. But she always thought it was good for introductions to be made.
Amalea
waved politely as she was introduced.
Yasu
Yasu noted the bid, but avoided commenting on it for.. various reasons. It was still naturally pleasing though, as anyone would feel with such a monetary confirmation of being wanted in some way. Holding a hand, he introduced himself to both women simultaniously. "Yasu O'del. A pleasure to meet you both."
Seva Soryimova
exits the club for a few moments with his satchel. After a while he returns with a now empty satchel before sitting back down and chugging his vodka
Amalea
"Pleased to meet you," she smiled lightly.
Every
reached out to accept the hand, giving it a shake and then returning it to the table in front of her, "It's a pleasure."
Yasu
Yasu bowed his head slightly, withdrawing his hand afterwards. "You seem to be quite popular tonight," he mused towards Amalea, not unkindly.
Amalea
"So it seems," she acknowledged lightly, "I wasn't expecting so much interest so soon."
Yasu
"Mhm.." He traced the rim of his drink with a finger, eyeing the man that seemed intent on outbidding for at least half those present, as well as some of the others loitering about as things started to quiet down a little.
Tiamat
she glanced up at booth that had her info and raised an eyebrow she glanced from the name on her card, to another card, then the man sitting there. She had heard his name in passing from Mortll, and wondered about his reasons for bidding on her.
Every
felt the vibration in her dress beginning form her phone, a soft sigh escaping past her lips as she mumbled something along the lines of incompetent managers as she said, "It was lovely to meet you, but I'm going to have to step out for a few and keep an eye on my bids. I wish you both the best of luck." She smiled as she slipped off her stool, removing her phone from its hiding place to step away.
Yasu
Yasu raised a hand in response, the mention of children drawing a softer look to his eyes. "Of course, take care."
Amalea
"Thanks, Every," she smiled at the woman. She turned her attention to the male, "What were you reading, earlier?"
Yasu
Yasu slid the book forward so she could see the cover decorated like a velvet red curtain, a sideways face splitting the middle. The title read 'The Historian' by an author named Elizabeth Kostova. "An old favorite, and maybe a little ironic tonight..." He said the last part under his breath, mostly to himself.
Amalea
The book's cover was certainly interesting and not one she had heard of, "What's it about?"
Seva Soryimova
Seva Soryimova quit
Yasu
A finger traced the title, his gaze lowering to the cover as he spoke with a distinct fondness, as he always did when literature was a topic on the table. "It's about a professor and his daughter, who go on a.. quest per say, to discover the tomb of Vlad Tepes. It's a three part novel in one book, where the narrator tells the story about herself and her father in the 1940's, when she confronts him on his old search for the tomb. It's rather.. interesting, and the historical ties with fantasy-..." He paused, then glanced around with a bemused look. "Well, I suppose at this point whether or not it's mere fantasy can be considered questionable..."
Amalea
Her lips quirked as he spoke. The book itself sounded interesting; she'd have to pick up a copy at some point and read it for herself. But no, it was the man's commentary that was most interesting. Silence filled the air for a moment as she appraised him; a sorcerer, so human, which was what she had thought. "The subject matter in intriguing. What has you questioning if it is mere fantasy?"
Yasu
A brow slipped upwards, his gaze slipping back towards the woman. Despite the recently gained knowledge of the fanged kind, he didn't seem too put off by being in a room with so many. He'd certainly had his suspicions in the past during certain encounters. "When magic is so commonplace, spirits speak freely and Droch-fhola roam the very room we stand in, why not the infamous Romanian prince himself? It doesn't seem so far-fetched by comparison."
Amalea
The red-head couldn't fault the logic of her new companion. Magic, or what passed for magic in Harper Rock, was rather commonplace. Spirits did speak if one cared to listen; though it could drive one to insanity to listen too closely. She wasn't quite sure the precise meaning of the word he had used, though she suspected he meant the vampires. "No, I would say it wouldn't so far fetched. Though I have to admit, I'm not familiar with the term you've used."
Yasu
A light shake of his head accompanied the slight flicker of embarressment as his terminology was brought to light. He coughed into a fist lightly, lowering his hands to settle in front of him around his book. "It's a term my aunt used, though there's a few terms back home that could apply. Here, you call them vampires, I believe."
Amalea
She nodded slightly, "That's what I suspected it meant, given the context. And yeah, that's what the majority call them here, though I've also heard fangers and other terms tossed about." She smiled at him, "Where's home?"
Yasu
Yasu actually let a small chuckle loose, though it probably wasn't the most appropriate response to what was likely an offensive term. A faint hint of a smile was born on his lips just for a moment as he answered vaguely. "Ireland."
Amalea
The chuckle was pleasant to hear. She was rather sure she knew the cause and couldn't fault the male. It was a rather odd term and not one she used personally. "I've always wanted to visit there. Is it really as pretty as the travel books depict?"
Yasu
The smile turned warm as he thought back to his home, a small nod given. "Some parts are, and some parts can be dreary. Where I lived, there was always plenty of room, and plenty of green. It really was a beautiful place growing up."
Amalea
"It always looks so beautiful in books and movies. Someday I'd love to travel to Europe and see more of it than just France." Her red tresses shook lightly at the thought though she didn't elaborate further. "What bought you to this side of the pond?"
Yasu
A question rose to his lips, but she'd moved on too quick for him to ask. Not that he minded much, as he had no trouble with answering her curiousities. "I came here on a job offer to teach Kendo, and to open a book store. It was something I've wanted to do for awhile, so the job offer came as a good opportunity to do so. Plus, Canada was a place I've always been interested in seeing. It seems so... diverse."
Amalea
He had her at book store. She adored books, loved to read and hadn't been able to find a decent book source in the city. "It is diverse in many ways, yes. It's part of what makes it unique and wonderful. I'm glad the job offer brought you here; we can always use more bookstores."
Yasu
Hearing her words brought warmth to his heart. "I'm glad as well," he agreed. "I've built up a decent collection, though it's been in a bit of decline the past couple of years."
Amalea
"Do you have a card?" She smiled, "I'd love to stop by some time soon and see what you have." Out of the corner of her eye she caught a motion of someone summoning her, "I'm sorry, I need to get back to mingling and ensuring things go well. I'd love to chat more later."
Yasu
Nodding quickly, he was suddenly glad he hadn't forgotten to bring them along. He withdrew a double sided card, one side for the dojo he taught at, the other for the bookstore, and handed it over. 'O'del's Books' that side read. "Not a problem. Hopefully we can speak again," he offered with a polite half bow. Once she'd left, he'd simply return to tending his drink and observing the patrons, his expression thoughtful.

snickered at Lea's reaction before she then gave a nod in understanding.
