"Santa hat it is, then." Every laughed, the sound genuine and warm as she collected one. It was nice to be relaxed for a change, to actually get away from everything that had been bothering her. She'd forgotten what was it was like to simply just be herself. Not a vampire, not a fighter, but Every Leighton. "You guys go on ahead, I'll wait for the rest of us in line." She said as she looked over her shoulder, her arm returning gently around Caligrace once more.
When it was time, the shadow moved as directed. She wasn't fond of being touched unless she was comfortable with someone, but she allowed the woman - Josey - to do so as needed. She put the prop up on her head - the red standing out against her dark hair, but it didn't clash. It was something she would later appreciate when looking through her copy of the photos. A momento for the evening had been a perfect call, really. Eventually, she knew the night would have to end and she would need to go searching for gifts. But, the promise of a fun holiday had not been one that Every had not been expecting.

MORI, ayuka ◦ Hebigumo Foundation Representative ◦ #804080
A picture for just Amalea and Dr. Nilson? Ayuka found herself curious about that, though she wasn’t given very much time to wonder. The people in the photography suite seemed to be simultaneously stressed out, and yet ironically efficient. She supposed it related to the high volume of guests at the ball. More likely than not, the photographer and helpers had been working since the room opened, and were going to be working late into the night. The line had already replenished itself. Everyone wanted a happy holiday memory, after all, and they were in an era when pictures were more evidence of happiness than anything else. Ayuka had personally never understood that philosophy, but she was more than happy to go along with the crowd in that regard. It helped, of course, that she was essentially paid not only for looking good, but also making the Hebigumo Foundation look good. And this required a certain comfort in front of flashing lights.
So she waited until the time came for them to be posed in front of the green screen. Her Rudolf mask was slipped into the mostly correct position, as an elf helped them all to get into the optimal position. Even with digital cameras, she could hear the sound of a dozen faux shutters ticking away every time a volley of images was taken. It was, she supposed, in part to cue people to the fact that pictures were being taken still, and in part to complete the illusion of something more old school.
No sooner were they done, than she peeled away from the group with a little wave and a grin. She tugged the Rudolf mask off and tucked it back into her purse as a memento from the evening, before pulling free her cell. “Sorry to be heading off so early in the evening, but I have a little one to check in on, and she will be less than pleased if she sees that mom is not home when she gets up.” She explained briefly, her gaze lingering on the features of each person who had participated in the picture taking before she slipped into the crowd towards the exit. However she never quite made it. She crossed over to the restrooms which had been opened to the public, and slipped through the doors. But she never came out. Whatever happened in there, one moment she was in the building, and the next...well.
Let’s just say Elvis the spider has left the building.
