The smile was returned to Ephraim, Tierney growing slowly to trust the man whom her best friend was so fond of. She knew he couldn’t be too bad, really, given she knew he’d likely smack Sawyer as quickly as she would had the other woman fallen out of sobriety once more. It was just natural, her preference to be distant. It was something she’d work on in the months to come. ”My parents actually like you, for some strange reason. So when I mention you, they don’t particularly fight me when I leave the house.” The sorceress retorted to the brunette with a frown playing across her lips. ”Something about a reconnection to my past.”

She returned the brief embrace, nonetheless before turning to properly greet the approaching man. The sound of his footsteps were not lost on her during the exchange and she lifted her lips into a small smile of greeting. Afterwards, she lifted her hand in a small wave. Following Sawyer’s lead, she took one of the offered cups of coffee that she curled her hands around, the warmth appreciated against her gloves. ”Thank you, Samson.” Tierney kept it as a heating source for now, but she would never turn down coffee - non-organic or not.

”A little snow and cold does not harm anyone, simply morons who cannot drive in it. It’s a shame that the weather doesn’t cause the undead to cease from moving. It’d be a nice sight, their ashes scattered amongst the snow. She hummed, pulling her jacket a bit closer. It was an idea that she go back to her vehicle and exchange it for something warmer, but she knew in the end it would be easier to clean if a mess ended up being made. Her fingertips moved to Sawyer’s hand, collecting the flier in hand.

”I’ve been considering a way to potentially mass produce this through the internet. Perhaps attaching it to a virus found within an email and creating a chain of emails sent out automatically through their contact list.” She said as she looked down at it with mild interest, speaking to those that she was near, ”If it’s done correctly, I could potentially expand our surveillance into the city further by accessing security cameras within businesses. Time is really the bigger issue, I think.”

When he arrived, the conversation was already focused upon the task the order had given themselves over to for the evening, and even the bigger picture. Or at least, that was how it seemed to Samson. When he had first joined, his disdain for the undead had been generalized. He had heard reports of what they had done at Longslade, and he thought to himself If they can do this at a well protected facility, where there are soldiers, what could they do to unarmed innocents? It had been that realization which had pushed him into his current service. And after fighting with some vampires both one on one, and with Sawyer and Ephraim at his back, his concerns had been in no way alleviated. There was the kinder part of his nature which was always going to believe that there was no inherent vice to power, and power was something the vampires certainly had in spades. And wasn’t there a saying about how power corrupted? Needless to say, all undead needed to be contained or destroyed after the manner of the ones in the Quarantine Zone.

Three of the coffees were taken and he nodded to Ephraim, Sawyer, and Tierney in turn before he finally lifted his own to his lips. The warmth was a blessing in the chill, even for a living furnace. “Remind me later, I’ve been doing some huntn’ in those abandoned sewers. Have some swords you might could use.” He offered to Ephraim. It was a subject he might have brought up at their last meeting, but that one had involved quite a lot of impromptu violence. Something told him that the time of getting into fights with randoms was coming to an end. It felt good to step up to the plate, to act as a line of defense when dealing with the scum that walked the streets and looked only to drain the life out of god fearing men and women. Unfortunately, picking off vampires one at a time wasn’t doing much good. Tonight proved that tactical moves were better made, and the anti-vampire sentiment and unrest needed to grow before they could really make strides towards dealing with the problem once and for all.

He leaned against a nearby wall, so he could watch the other three who had gathered, listening to Tierney’s plan. That too, was a brilliant idea. Samson knew basically nothing about computers other than that they could make for effective paper weights. Ask him to wire up electrical for a small town and he could do that. Ask him to build a house from scratch? He could do that. Ask him to use any device to do more than google something (that was stretching it even), and he was likely to end up ******* something up. “Time is our enemy here.” He agreed. “Truth is, these vampires are gonna prove what they are one way or the other someday. That **** is inevitable. It’s our job to make sure people wake up before it’s too late.” Before the blood of children and women ran in the streets.

The meeting was not one that Lasair had organised, but it was one that she had heard about. It was something she’d been told to be ready for, and so she was ready to go. When they’d got in Gideon’s car she assumed that they’d drive directly to the nominated meeting place. He asked whether she was hungry, and she shook her head.

”Not right now. I was thinking we could get pudding later, once we were done. Reward for our hard work, and all that,” she said with a nod and a smile of thanks. One song finished, another started, and Lasair had no idea what any of them were. Rather than head to their meeting place, however, Gideon decided that he was hungry regardless, and that they would be pulling in somewhere. Lasair glanced at her watch while Gideon started to make his order, while also pointing out that the employees of the fast food restaurant had their own reasons to be mindful of vampire-kind—to loathe their existence, to wish them gone. He had a point.

Esli, too, must have been hungry given the size of the meal he ordered. Rather than order anything herself, Lasair shook her head and tapped the face of her watch. ”Weren’t we supposed to be there by now…?” she asked, even as Esli got out of the car. Boys would be boys, and that arch of his brow couldn’t have meant anything good. What was he up to? Exasperated, Lasair wound down her own window and leaned out, her attention on her husband.

”Whatever you have planned, love, make it quick? We got places to be, people to see…” she said. Lasair didn’t like to be late – nor to leave people waiting. She eased back into the car and turned to Gideon.

"Order a few more burger and fry combos, yeah? For the others?"

"Ahhhhh, I just take orders. Sorry." Came the voice from the other end of the system. "Right. Of course." Gideon conceded as his brother got out of the car. What on God's green earth was he up to? Gideon watched him from the side mirror for a second, before Lass made a suggestion.

"Good idea. I'll take....four double cheeseburger and fry combos with that." He added in, before fishing his wallet out from his back pocket. Good thing for the new job. Money was getting tight since Every uncle cut him off for "lack of services rendered." It was temporary, in Gideon's mind. He had plans for that one.

When the total came, Gideon whistled, then trapped the side of the car, before slowly pulling forward. Esli would get the gist, while he paid for, and collected the orders.
