Re: Trail of Blood [open]
Well now she heard another familiar set of footsteps coming in her direction and behold the infamous Ripper she couldn't help but laugh at the idea she had in her mind and what the hell folks around here need some comic relief especially with all the dam police and Soldiers around and Hunters and God knows what else. Meanwhile, as he approached, not even so much of a glance her way she decided to "accidentally" stick her foot out just to see if he'd notice or not and the idea floating in her crazed mind, she was seriously laughing her *** off at the image she got and did her damn best not to show any signs of her doing it, maybe a rock was in the way or he tripped over his own two feet, hell it happens, but funny. Oh Lawd she pretty much had tears in her eyes at this point from laughing and there it was, she could not hold it any longer, that image just killed her hiding spot, she busted up laughing so hard her stomach was hurting, of course, she had that evil twinkle in her eyes.

Anais had barely had her heart rate settle to semi normal when out of nowhere she is faced with yet another male in similar shape as the other. Now she knew that she should have made that phone call minutes ago. Her long fingers curled around the thin slice of plastic that made up the communication device in her hands as if it could actually do something useful for her.
“I gave at the community blood drive earlier today. They gave me some juice, a cookie and some advice.” Because why in the hell would she possibly be willing to lend herself over to a guy appearing to need more than a helping hand, arm let alone a single pint? It went from opening a door to needing a pint? Now she was certain she would be making some changes if she made it out of this in one piece. “I can’t donate for another couple weeks. It’s a thing. In the books actually if you want to check.”
Anais stepped back once. Then twice. This one had two feet. Her chances at taking home a gold medal for the faster sprint just dwindled considerably.
“Honeymead Donation center.” She offered in an attempt to distract then gave it a shot because she wasn’t going to just stand there. She ran like her life depended on it... which it did.

Re: Trail of Blood [open]
The human didn't seem very interested in stopping to chat and he supposed that in his state she wasn't to blame for her skittishness. An immortal urge in his veins pulsed through with the thrill to instantly give chase--but even if he could muster up the headwind--right now he didn't feel the heart for another feeding tackle and all the panicked messiness which usually follows.
Thankfully his moral dilemma was abruptly stopped short by an inconsiderately placed boot and soon afterwards he found himself laying completely flat on his back and looking upwards at the smirking face of somebody's whose name completely escaped him just at this moment.
"Ah brilliant! Another fanger."
* Ripper could hardly recall another time when he'd been so happy to see one of his own kind. *
"Look, could it be possible to borrow your phone? I kinda lost mine with my other...erhm...arm you see."
He seemed to think this was explanation enough considering the circumstances.

Oh, she was laughing her *** off when ripper hit the pavement and then arched a brow slightly down at him and grins. "Well, good evening to you too Ripper. I see you took a nice dive into the pavement, do that much? " She laughs and reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone and handed it to him and then extended the other hand to help him up. " I do apologize for that, I just could not help myself. The Name is Kitteh. " She said after noting his slight confusion to his features on his face.

Lecovio collapsed instantly as the curse reached him. The drop was so sudden and total that the entire right side of his body struck the metal stairs with equal severity. He grunted and flailed feebly at the railings as he slid--feet facing down--the few steps he had ascended, back to the ground floor.
His energy levels had already been low as the power had taken hold of him, and then his will to run was fully and completely sapped away. He was left shaken and demoralised, as though in grief. He had no strength left to stand, a missing leg, a blinded eye, and broken arm that had only just been healed, and no energy left to cast powers.
He reached down to his boot, where he kept a spare pistol, but he knew as he did so that he would surely be too slow.

And just like that, the vampire that had been ahead of the game, dropped down the stairs and not far from her feet. The spirits had decided his fate and tied it to the woman from Hispaniola for tonight. At least. Her tongue clicked as she watched him reach for his footwear, dark eyes narrowing as she bolted in his direction. “Now, dun yous be worr'n none. Ole' Atabei gun take gud care o' yous.” She wiped at her nose that was still trickling blood, more holes riddling the flannel garment from the wipe. “Dey always be run'n from sum'tin' dey be doin' ta da humans.” She shook her head, tight curls bouncing with the shake, her corrosive blood splattering on the scenery at her feet as she came to the crouch. “Wat you tink? Ole' Atabei gun drink yous dry ri' hur?” She wrapped an arm around his only remaining leg and dragged him close to her.
She didn't know what he was reaching for, and for now, she didn't care. The hand on his ankle should stop him from getting whatever it was. “Jus' wanted a taste, but den yous goes and do dis.” Her free hand waved at her nose that was still bleeding, uncaring if the acidic blood hit him as she kept pulling him right where she wanted him; her crouching over his chest, fangs a glaring reminder to the vampire beneath her as to why this chase started in the first place. Then Atabei made her move, striking like an angry viper for his neck, her right knee pushing down into the center of his chest, attempting to keep him pinned beneath her as she moved to feast.

"Alright, Kitten. You're one of those Dragons, aren't you?"
*Ripper accepts her assistance and takes a hold of the phone with equally good humour.*
"Ah, brilliant! You've already got a Biter app installed...I'm in a serious need of a pint before sunrise."
With in a few buttons the phone had used its GPS to send a sightings request to be set up at this location and he swiped a blood streaked thumb across over the screen surface to change across tabs for checking if there were any available users who were currently advertising services in the immediate area.
It seemed that he was in luck! Within all the many white dots (and fewer red dots) which populated the map there were at least 3 humans no further away than the nearest 750 meter radius who had their status set as an 'open donor' (or blood bag, as the app called it). Hopefully at least one of those three dots would be moving closer towards him pretty soon to respond for the Service Alert he had just pinged out over their network.

Kitteh smiled at him and nods. " I happen to be an Elite Hacker and Telepathy I must have the best of everything. " She said in a whisper and gave a slight nod to his question about her being a dragon. " Ya, I am. Mortll is my creator. " again keeping her tone in a whisper so no one else would hear them chat. She did her best to keep what she is quiet with all the **** happening in this city.
She could not help but glance over at the person who had fallen in front of another and arched a brow slightly over at them. "Pardon me, but do you need any help. " She asked Lenovo as she started to head over to them and paused a moment. " My tavern is around the corner, The Dragon's Nest. I have a spare room in the basement area if you wish to remain safe. We can talk there later if you like. " She gave ripper a card with her name and email and phone.

Re: Trail of Blood [open]
Lecovio slumped back as the ebony skinned woman crawled over him and sank her fangs into his neck like a deadly spider. He barely even felt his skin punctured, such as was pain he had already been through tonight. Instead, it almost registered as pleasure by comparison.
His eyes grew distant and glazed over as the blood was siphoned from his body. He reached a bloody hand up through the woman's thick, black hair and pulled her closer to him so that he might whisper in her ear as she fed.
"You best fuckin' drain every last drop, alright? Cos not much else is gonna stop me from putting a dozen bullets in your skull."
He was sure he heard somebody else speaking nearby, but he hadn't seen anyone else in the warehouse. He couldn't make out the words spoken beneath his muted, drunk senses.
