Open to Meara, Flynn and Lea (if she wants to join. SURPRISE). Cameos from other characters welcome in the form of texts, phone calls, or walk through appearances. Just be sure to poke me, Meara, and Flynn via PM to make sure things are copacetic from a storytelling point of view!
That being said, Az was in the process of selling off some of the things he’d picked up to a vendor at the market when he noticed an absolutely shady character outside, hitting up a man who had just left. He didn’t really take too much note of it at that point, because it wasn’t his business. Ten minutes later, he was outside, and being approached by the very same figure from before. Now. Azraeth was pretty used to petty criminals trying to get acquainted with him. With the crime rate what it was in Harper Rock, who hadn’t been offered drugs, or to sell their blood a time or twenty? So he intended to give the guy a brush off, and then go on about his night. Except this man brought a compact mirror out of his jacket. By the time Az realized the man was confirming that he was a vampire, the Mystic was less than pleased. His teeth were bared and fists clenched when he heard the offer (which he didn’t really listen to, because he was annoyed). Something about having high quality stock at a lower cost than the black market. Cheap blood in high quantities. What happened after that, the vampire probably couldn’t have described later if he’d wanted. One moment the guy was talking to him and the next said guy had a black eye and was out cold on the ground.
It wasn’t until a few hours later when Az was tucked against Flynn’s chest, relating what he’d been doing with his night before the two ended up (as was their habit) together. The night’s agenda was fairly fluid. Azraeth had invited Meara over because he hadn’t gotten much of a chance to catch up with her, and he figured an intimate get together (see; Movie Night: Pixar themed) was a great way to do that. “Okay, so now that I’m saying it out loud, that seems SUPER weird. Maybe we should investigate? Should I cancel with Meara? Nah.” He answered his own question. “Having another set of hands might be a good idea. Hope she doesn’t mind a little gumshoe work instead of Wall-E.” He commented. She was actually set to arrive any minute anyway, and canceling on her right then would have been a dick move. Besides. There was a very good chance that the lead was absolutely nothing. Right?
“Going to text Lea. She has some connections to blood distribution so there’s an off chance she heard something.” He murmured as he moved to stand, reaching for his phone.
To The Sis’ (Custom contact detail): So hey, weird question. Have you noticed any shady looking people skulking around? Maybe trying to steal blood? Human blood? Or sell it around any of your places of business? Following up on a lead. Might be nothing.
And then he hit send.
“Oh yeah. I should put on pants.” He went to do that.
