Re: labyrinth test results
I'll keep making it more and more worth it until the temptation is too great and people yearn for many many 50ks. Mwahaha.

Re: labyrinth test results
Yeah my thoughts exactly, Becca. :) Rather keep the cash at that price rather than gamble it for ... ?? idk, getting kicked? Sorry Boss <3
Alex can do pretty good at fighting but it's not her main gig so despite being curious about new goodies to play around with, I'm too cheap to risk it.
Might feel diff about the 'stealth' equivalent, tho. That I will prob., HAVE to check out even if it's just once.

I'd love to do it more than I have been, but the last time I went in one (with Enver) he made about 8.5 k back...granted I could still run his businesses, so he was still making the 12-14k a day...but I still saw it as a loss with just the 8.5k in return.Mooncalf wrote:I'll keep making it more and more worth it until the temptation is too great and people yearn for many many 50ks. Why are you taking me through troubled waters, I asked? Because your enemies cannot swim, he replied.

It's not supposed to make people loads of money, it's supposed to make them loads of XP.Elizabeth wrote:I'd love to do it more than I have been, but the last time I went in one (with Enver) he made about 8.5 k back...granted I could still run his businesses, so he was still making the 12-14k a day...but I still saw it as a loss with just the 8.5k in return.Mooncalf wrote:I'll keep making it more and more worth it until the temptation is too great and people yearn for many many 50ks. Re: labyrinth test results
Okay, but that's kind of not happening. I've heard no vampires can get past a certain floor, and it's more valuable xp wise to do the castle or forest for right now. You don't get kicked after getting really little xp for 50k.
If it doesn't give money, fine, but it should give better xp. Can't not give both.

That's why I've said I'm going to make it better XP wise until it's worth dropping the 50k.Elizabeth wrote:Okay, but that's kind of not happening. Re: labyrinth test results
*cracks knuckles* Alright, so here's what I have.
Ari was on 27 when she decided, based on reliable intel, to head back to floor 26 due to the lack of worth while baddies between floors 27 and 30. Floor 30 were the Wendigo's that she lost to during testing, so I wasn't going to waste time on that again. Eventually, she lost to one of the Hardened Undead Encantados and got booted back to the ground floor.
For me, to 50k for the entry key isn't a big deal. The traps (while they clearly needed fixing this time around, so thank you) aren't a big deal. Running four businesses a day while is the raid isn't a big deal, because it's totally doable.
The main issue is that Ari spent all of this time working her way up to an enemy that was finally giving out good exp only to lose literally an entire week's worth of progress with one loss. Even getting bumped down five floors wouldn't be so bad, but the "kicked out entirely' thing is a major deterrent and the main reason why I won't be putting Ari back in one of these mazes. Even if the exp for the harder enemies was increased, I don't think it would be worst the hassle and wasted time of slogging through the lower level ones.
This happened last week, by the way. I'm just terrible at providing feedback in a timely manner.

Re: labyrinth test results
Yes, I could shrug at the 50k, if the loss wasn't so huge, but as I've been hearing and seeing...
No vampire can get past floor 30-correct me if I'm wrong. Even a level 80, vampire can't get past that floor.
From what I hear floor 39 gives out like 160 xp or maybe it was 180-that's fantastic and worth while for the bigger vampires, but yet they can't get there. So at some point, realistically we have to say...is it worth 50k to just get 100-115 xp occasionally? To me? No. Sorry.
I like the idea of getting booted back down 5 floors, but I think that might be hard to code...or lengthy...so what if it went on a sliding scale so to speak?
Between floors 1-10-start back at floor 1.
Floors 11-20-floor 10.
floors 21-30-floor 20.
I don't know much about coding, but for an infinite lab it might be hard to code that going back just five floors, but maybe not. Only a coder could answer that.
There could be variations too, different to mine, but I think if it is hard to code, we need to look at a bigger scale of floors, instead of just a smaller scale. However, if I'm wrong, then Ari's suggestion would be grand.

Re: labyrinth test results
Third for Ari player suggestion. I have two in there and outside the camping out for healing chants to heal up it would be great if you dropped down instead of being kicked to the nearest curb for 50k invested. Or maybe a three strikes you drop five floors then you are out on third strike....or something that gives the chance of climbing back up besides a trip to the shop so quickly. As it is this will be the only trip my two are taking. Hitting overlords and hitting the Wendigo forest gives the exp both are climbing for and have yet to achieve. Maybe not so frequently but with less wounds and anima useage to heal up.

The planned fix is to make the enemies start maybe 10 levels higher from the first floor. As in, the enemies that are currently on floor 10 will be the ones you face from the first floor. This will cut out a lot of the slogging, but still maintains the gamble, risk element, and the challenge.
