Elders have been waaaaay too quiet for a lot of reasons (not complaining or here to rant/*****)! Anyways, I've sent all the elders that I was told were active-moving weekly or rping a p.m. I'm not discluding any elder, I just don't want to flood inboxes of those who don't play here anymore. So, if you didn't get a p.m. don't think that you can't be included if you play an elder.
I propose the elders get together monthly for NON-POLITICAL reasons. We've been there, done that, moving on/not interested what so ever. I had suggested maybe before they died from Cobb/holocaust stuff that they had done some sort of ritually stuff. I suggested to someone on trillian that maybe something for the Crow or this new land they came across. Kerry had a different suggestion that could be its own thing...or tied in, whatever.
I propose that they (the elders) sort of go back to their roots. It makes sense, going back to their roots. With the exception of being betrayed by Cobb, some elders had lived for centuries or decades just fine. They've not had it easy during the modern times...so why not try and keep what worked for them back in the olden days? Idk that's just my thoughts...but I'd love to see the elders back and rping, even if just yearly for some to not be forgotten about more or less.
So, here is the idea board for people to post their thoughts on:
1. How to get all the elders together again.
2. What they celebrated/ritualed.
3. Anything else-not political pls.

Yes please!
Elizabeth can introduce Alaric to everyone, given he'd have been a recluse beforehand and hadn't actually met anyone before.

Re: Calling all Elders
Count me in!
Like we'd talked about, the thought I had was something along the lines of maybe an annual or quarterly ritual the elders used to perform in the early HR days. Maybe something like keeping the Fae happy and at bay, something about a belief that the Fae were the trade-off for the protection and guidance of the Crow? IDK, thinking out loud, but even though they'd likely be mocked in the present and know better than before, it could perhaps be used as an excuse to come together once in awhile.
In any case and no matter which way we agree to go, I'm excited for a reason to write Habren again!

Yes, I told Kerry that liz would bring him along since he is a ritualist I believe? :)Alaric von der Marck wrote:Yes please!

I really like that idea-honestly. The idea of trying to appease the fae/keep them from bothering vampires, etc. Like, a lot. Idk if they would know better then, but by now...maybe? Regardless, I like the idea so we should use it in some aspect. Either at the beginning or now.Habren Ashe wrote:Count me in!

So if we do it for just the beginning we need to think about why they might ritual practice now.
Keep the fade open to prevent death maybe?
Some might want to close it-ohhh scandalous.
Try and make it bigger in some respect (idk if we can do that...like legit wise, but wte) so the fade stretches out more...idk does that border political tho>
