It's set so humans can defend themselves against who vampires going in there to attempt to attack them, thinking that they can, as they're healing.
I do, however, think it is a bug for a vampire to be able to use a power within the hospital walls - that doesn't sound right, as Becca pointed out, it is an attack.
I wasn't in the hospital at the time when I used Mind block. I was in the abandon subway or therebouts when I did that. :)
I suppose the location doesn't matter. However, it's interesting and curious to know how your character knew esli's name to even mind block him at any point since the character has only ever been rp'd with two other characters ever.

I told you in PM's Its called Telepathy. Yes you can find out a person name by reading their thoughts and much more... and you're just making a big freakin deal out of it, but that's okay.. You go right ahead.... I'm tired of the Bs...
I voted in the Hospital attacks suggestion. Since there is no comment option in there I figured I would ask here why is a change is needed. Let's look at it for what it is.
Why is a vamp in the hospital in the first place? Especially one who was unknown to my character Esli until the mindblock applied courtesy of Grumpykitty prior to Eva coming in and initiating a surprise battle to the death? My theory is of course he is going to grab his weapon and use it when he was healing up quickly thanks to modern medicine atthe sight of a vampire thanks to his power to distinguish them from warm blooded bodies. And, if this 'no hit zone' in hospitals is to change (for possible abuse per the wording in the mentioned suggestion) I still ask why it should be when David pointed out at -4 intel on grid it is possible to have a high level vampire lose in a battle to the death with a veggied paladin. One who had a vampire mind block a veggie paladin before it went on to sneak up and then surprisingly lose the fight? Just asking.
I suggested it not because of the vampire being in the hospital trying to attack but because I had never realized (since Amalea has never been in the hospital) that humans could still attack will hospitalized.
And if hospitalized humans can attack then it stands a healthy human can saunter in the door and attack. Which opens up the possibility of the healthy humans keeping the hospitalized human wounded so they can't properly recover.
When a vampire dies, they're on a pvp time out for a week. It should be no different for humans.

However, can't the vampires in shadow realm rob another vamp of spirits while they are isolated down there or has that changed? Been a while since one of mine was down there but I remember that was a thing. Again just asking to be clear on how things are.
I think you're correct on the robbing of spirits from the SR, but while it's a type of attack it's not one that's insanely detrimental to a vampire - there's always another spirit to nom on. Whereas, losing more blood/having more wounds can significantly impact a human which is probably why (I think) it's already coded so you can't bite a human in the hospital. (I'm fuzzy on that one).

I suppose my only consern is that people of all races shouldnt be allowed to go and camp out in there if they are healthy just so they can't be attacked. Otherwise I am all for making the human hospital the pvp time out for them.
Well Paladin / Sorcerer so they had Dark Thrugey
started attacking with it from the hospital
So David said that Powers while wounded shouldn't be allowed
but
They were still physically able to attack and defend themselves
and its like that in the shadow realm you can get attacked there
it adds 3 days to your death wound.
Humans cant just go in the hospital and hide out
It dumps them hourly
so if you go in and you haven't been defeated then you will find yourself sitting outside at the top of the hour
So it is pretty much even on the attacking front ... You don't want attacked by a angry human then don't go to the Hospital where they may have already recovered and are just waiting on their release papers .
