With this system, I still see the attack icon in the ooc boards. Anything preventing people from ooc attacks?
:/
Yes. It only lets you attack due to posts that earned people RPP. So no OOC posts.

So on the private forum rp boards that give no rpp, those roleplays can't be used in this?

Now you mention it, no. It would be too hard to update the code every time we add a new private roleplay board, to let it know that the new board in question is viable for roleplay battles.

Also, now that I think about it, if it was allowed it private, people could use it to avoid being killed too easily.

So how does this work with One character, possibly attacking two different characters, in two different threads, owned by the same human?

Example: Doc is in a thread and Gets attacked by Character A; Doc is in a second thread and gets attacked by Character B. But Character A and B are run by the same human.

In grid play that isn't allowed. But in This forum of attack, is it allowed, since there will be rp to substantiate and justify both attacks?

That actually is allowed already (on grid) and has always been. You can target two characters owned by the same player; the system won't stop it, and as long as there's a reason for both attacks, neither will we.

The reverse is the thing which the system prevents, where two characters owned by the same player attack one single character.

I think Doc mun was asking the reverse. As in two diff threads, two characters owned by the same player. So that's in the 'cheat' code already then? To stop say...Liz and erm Hannah from attacking Doc in two diff threads via battle?

Oh yeah, my bad. The first paragraph confused me there.

The cheat code would stop the attacks. However, it's probably important to keep in mind that one character can't be drawn into two different battles at once. So the only way this could happen is for one battle to be resolved, and then for the other to begin. In that eventuality, the cheat code would stop it because they'd already have been hit by another of the player's alts recently.

I don't think making allowances for it would be a good idea, as people could just join two different threads with a mind to attack the same character one after another, and just make up paper-thin roleplay reasons. Alts working together just shouldn't be allowed at all, in my opinion.

Oh, having said that, if character B was to be attacked first by Doc, then the cheat code would let it happen. So the battle could begin, and it'd be up to both players to decide if they wanted to go through with it or not really. In the example given, though, Doc would need to attack first in order to let the anti-cheat system know it's cool.

Since I miss so much conversations anymore (stupid Yahoo) my questions may be simple and already answered elsewhere, but I need to know.

1. Do these 'attacks' actually cause damage to your char on the grid? (wounds, blood loss, etc)

2. if yes, can one person kill another's char? As in send them to the Shadow Realm.

Thank you.
Some day I'm gonna be happy. I don't know when just now
