Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
The thing about Reynold was, he despised Elizabeth as much as she him. In her mind, she believed her actions leading to his permanent death were justified, if not more than, while he begged to differ. Reynold simply was a man that could never have the one thing he wanted due to a variety of circumstances. Had Elizabeth not lived such a horrendous human life, being bartered away, perhaps the woman would have seen the male more entertaining and delightful than she had. It was not to say that she did not enjoy his company. The telepath had and enjoyed her long and thoughtful conversations with the male some centuries ago. But the fact of the matter was, when Elizabeth lost the one thing she believed to have lost, after losing so many other things, she had sworn then to never put herself in a predicament where she was looked upon as a lesser being than that of the opposite gender.
So, while he had no choice but to come to her beck and call, when left to his own devices, Reynold tried his very hardest to sabotage any and all of the woman's plans. The saying, 'while the cats away, the mouse will play,' was never truer with this french pest Elizabeth kept around for who knew what reason. He watched the human, as instructed. She didn't seem overly special, no one he would associate with, or make his presence known to, but as he watched her pull weapon after weapon out of various places, he could only grin inwardly. Nothing seemed to imply that she was focused on Elizabeth....but. Oh, he knew exactly what the woman was, or close to, anyways. He suspected her to be some sort of police officer, or security guard, but that didn't matter. What did matter was what Elizabeth would be told and be left to believe.
He knew he surpassed the hour time frame when the human finally settled into a closing routine and finally fell asleep. He chuckled as Reynold passed through the door, the wheels in his evil head turning as he decided what, or rather how to break the news to Elizabeth. Oh, he wasn't going to lie, but he wasn't afraid of leaving some very important details out either. By the time he arrived to the tower, Elizabeth was where she normally was; in her garden.
"You have been gone almost three hours. I said one." Elizabeth looked up from the bushes she was weeding around, before taking off her gardening gloves and tossing them to the ground. "You could have summoned me at any time." Reynold replied as he followed after Elizabeth. "What did you find?" She stopped at a shed to pull out a watering can, then turned to face the wraith. "I would be careful if I were you...but I think that's too late." His accent was thick as he spoke in English, though the french tone apparent. Having been banished at least a handful of times served as a reminder for him to speak to Elizabeth only in English, unless instructed otherwise. This, of course had Elizabeth's attention as he knew it would, her head canting to the side. "Whatever do you mean? Speak plainly, or I shall banish thee." The wraith floated back a little before he looked at her and only her. "She had firearms and knives in her possession. All types. I would not want to make an enemy of her. That is what I mean."
The can was placed back on the shelf and the doors to the shed closed. "Weapons?" She exhaled some air from her lungs, causing her blonde strands to float off her face before she wiped at them, finding them a home behind an ear. "I see." Elizabeth said before she shooed Reynold off. "Go. Do your things. I release thee from my servitude from the rest of the evening." The wraith didn't waste any time making his escape, while Elizabeth got to work. She knew the woman was after her, but this only seemed to solidify that weak train of thought earlier in the evening. Who else would carry weapons upon them, but a hunter?

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
She had spent the day training hard, flying high and jumping out of airplanes. Once the troops had been dismissed for the evening, they had descended on a bar in the usual fashion. Food, drinks, laughter and stories had been shared by the American and Canadian troops. She had left before the night had gotten too late and she had gotten too drunk. Returning to her hotel room, she changed from her uniform into track pants and a tank top. Her dog tags were tucked inside her shirt and she set out for a grueling 10 mile run that left her sheened in sweat and slightly out of breath by the time she returned.
A quick shower and she was dressed in sweats and a tank top, lounging on her bed and reading a book. The TV was on, volume on low. The news anchor was talking about something she wasn't paying attention to, far to wrapped up in a work of fiction to pay much attention to reality. She couldn't say how long she sat there reading, but the book had fallen more than a couple times when a knock sounded against her door. Yawning, she set her book aside and pushed off the bed. A check of her watch revealed the late hour, causing her to frown. Paranoia had her grabbing her small side arm as she moved across the floor, her slightly uneven steps as quiet as she could make them. She peered through the small peephole and saw only a fuzzy, indistinct blond head. Her frown deepened and she opened the door, blinking sapphire eyes at the blond woman from the aquarium.
"Can I help you?" She asked, her voice naturally husky, soft but filled with authority at the same time. She propped her arm against the door frame her other hand, and her gun by extension, hidden behind the half opened door.

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
Elizabeth could hear everything inside the room that Reynold told her about the night before. The steps the woman inside took. The sound of a television, even the turning of pages in a book as Elizabeth stayed hidden within the shadows outside the door. When the woman appeared settled for the night, or at least settled for the moment, it was then that Elizabeth knocked on the door and simply waited as the shadows fell from around her. She was going to confront the huntress and give her a chance to explain herself. If the answer was less than satisfying...well...other measures would be made.
She waited until the woman was done talking before Elizabeth nodded her head. "Yes. I believe so." Elizabeth said with the same authority, and softness in her voice. "You see, I have a small problem. One that came about last evening." Elizabeth's eyes moved from the woman to the immediate area in which she stood. "And it seems...we have some things to discuss." Elizabeth's tone grew slightly firmer as she used her relearned shadow abilities to welcome herself in to the hotel room once she moved past the woman.
"I know who and what you are." Elizabeth told the woman, with an air of confidence, almost challenging the darker haired woman to deny the vague statement. Though she expected a reply, Elizabeth didn't wait to shove past the woman and enter the hotel room now that she could. Once inside, Elizabeth sat in a standard chair that all hotel rooms can equipped with and just waited.

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
It took her a minute to focus, then she blinked curiously at the woman's words. This was the crazy chick from the aquarium that she had been following for kicks. She frowned faintly when the woman stated she knew what she was. Well it wasn't hard to tell, if one thought about it. Her immaculate room didn't hide the uniforms neatly pressed and hanging on a rack, nor did it hide the red beret sitting on the small desk. When the woman pushed her way into the room, Ramsey was too surprised to stop her. She turned, tracking the crazy lady as she sat down. Ramsey tucked her gun into the back of her sweatpants and shut the door, leaning against it.
She appeared casual, but her eyes were wary and never left the woman as she sat in the rooms only chair. No way was Ramsey going to walk past the nutter to sit on the bed. She did, however, reach over and grab her smokes off the desk. Extracting a cigarette and a lighter, she placed the filter between her lips. It wasn't until the tobacco was burning and thin smoke was curling towards the ceiling that she spoke again. "Make yourself at home." She muttered sarcastically.
"Look lady, I don't know who you are, or what you think you know. Hell I don't even know how you found my room. But what ever you're thinking, you're wrong." Ramsey knew this with out a doubt, even though she had no idea what was on the woman's mind. "Granted it was a dick move following you last night. I was drunk and just being ridiculous. No harm no foul. I even made sure you got that painting." She pointed out, then checked her watch again. "So now that that is cleared up, you can go. I have to be up in like... three hours."

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
The offer for Elizabeth to make herself at home, didn't go amiss. Elizabeth did exactly that, taking a seat on the chair she had seen on her way in. The sarcastic undertone didn't go unnoticed, but Elizabeth would pay it no mind or heed. It was a mechanism people used when they were afraid-along with many other mechanisms. Which only pressed Elizabeth onwards with her thoughts about the woman with a very colourful and robust vocabulary.
"Indeed, you had returned it to me. But, not before I had noticed the paint in some places had been smeared. Perhaps due to the rain, or due to your carelessness." Elizabeth said with a small shrug of her shoulders, not indicating which of the one she believed over the other. Her eyes moved around the room and fell on the book, and then the television, her head tipped as she tried to recognize the show upon it. It was an impossible task, being as the woman did not possess a television, but she believed by looking at what the woman had been watching, she would get a better indication of who the woman was exactly.
"Are you saying you do not possess any weaponry?" Elizabeth asked after forcing herself to blink after a long stare at the television. Her eyes shifted to Ramsey then, her legs crossing at her ankles as she sized the woman up. If Elizabeth were not a vampire, she would believe that Ramsey would have the upper advantage. Thankfully, if things became physical, Elizabeth was a vampire.

She rolled her eyes and watched the woman. Did she have 'weaponry'? What the hell kind of question was that? Of course she did. She was in the military and she'd been here long enough that she was sure people knew of the joint task force training exercise happening between the American's and the Canadian's. Both of her brows rose and she stared at the woman as if she were crazy for even asking that question.
"Of course I have weapons. I'm in the Army. I'd be a pretty shitty soldier if I didn't have a weapon or two." Easy enough to admit to, but she wasn't going to tell the woman where they were. The last thing she needed was a crazy chick thinking she could grab a gun or a knife and do some serious damage. She'd survived a lot of **** in the war, she was going to be taken out by some one with a few screws loose.

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
What Elizabeth suspected, was far greater than she anticipated. The woman wasn't a hunter, but she was military. She knew just what the military was capable of. After all, look at what they had done to the land of the walking dead and then to the mausoleum. They were in cahoots with some greater being-though Elizabeth knew not who. "Of course." Elizabeth nodded, still smiling as if she were agreeing with the woman and her mentality and reasoning.
"You will have to forgive me. It seems my...thrall knew naught what he walked into." Elizabeth continued as she stood slowly, her eyes taking in everything in the room. More specifically looking for the weapons. With none being seen, or presumably not in the nearby area, now was the time to act. "I should leave thee..." Elizabeth moved past the woman, slowly, perhaps painfully slowly and noticeably so by the other woman. "However..." Elizabeth said as she stepped past the woman and stopped, fingernails slowly elongated into monstrous claws. "We have one more small thing to deal with.." Elizabeth turned around while her fingers were still morphing into steel like claws, and lashed out at the woman's torso area. "Your death." It was unlikely in her mind that the woman crossed her path the evening before out of chance, and even more disconcerting was that she was military. Something, just wasn't right.

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
She nodded and moved slightly so the woman could move towards the door that Ramsey was now opening up. She watched with barely concealed disinterest as the woman plodded her way towards the door and only half managed to stop the sigh of irritation. The woman was moving at a glacial pace and she felt like she was doing it on purpose. When the woman turned with a snarl, she barely heard her says 'Your Death'. She was more focused on the ten sharp knives... no those were claws... that woman suddenly had and was busy swinging at her.
"Jesus ****!" She yelped, her body kicking into action a fraction to late. She dodged out of the way, whipping her gun from her back and firing blindly. As she hit the floor and rolled her leg buckled. Not her good one either. She heard the crack of fiber glass and cursed, firing blindly again. This time she heard the bullet smack into the wall and cursed again. She struggled with her prosthetic and finally managed to yank off the useless thing and throw it to the side, leaving the right leg of her sweats dragging empty on the floor. But she refused to go down with out a fight.
It was the act of tossing her leg aside that made her realize she hadn't dodged quite fast enough. She pressed a hand to her stomach and it came away bloody. This night went from slightly boring to completely fucked up in less than ten minutes. She looked for the blonde, her eyes landing on her for a second, only to skip away as she tried to find another weapon. She pushed herself back until she hit the night stand, then reached under the pillow on her bed, drawing out her combat knife. With a gun in one hand and a knife in the other, she glared at the woman... monster? She didn't know, all she knew was she wanted to get the crazy ***** out of her hotel and go to the hospital.
"Look lady, I don't know what your problem is, but now that you've had your fun, maybe you should just go. Don't make me kill you" She ground out. She didn't even know if she could kill her but she was going to try with every thing she had. She didn't survive eight deployments only to die in a cheap Canadian hotel room.

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
The woman was quick and unpredictable. Hunters were sort of like that though, weren't they? In shape, smart and highly trained. Just as this woman appeared to be. That thought, and all the things this woman appeared to be only fueled Elizabeth's desire to kill her, as it seemed the 'facts' were piling up against Ramsey at an alarming rate. Bullets sprayed out in every direction, the Telepath finding little difficulty in avoiding the majority of them, however, one did manage to graze her upper arm, causing Elizabeth to stop and pull back behind a chair in the room. During this 'down time,' a leg was pulled off the woman and tossed aside.
Elizabeth knew then, in that moment, that once again, Reynold had not been quite truthful and that woman, as skilled as she appeared to be was not an actual vampire 'hunter' after all. "I assure thee, that this has hardly been fun," Elizabeth replied to the woman's retort finally, as pristine ocean colored orbs flicked down to that wound that was already starting to heal at the average vampire healing pace. A wound of very little impact was not going to force Elizabeth to use any gifts taught by a wraith not of her path. "For either of us." Elizabeth finished her thought before complaining out loud about Reynold. "Wretched wraith. A cage will serve him well for his treacherous tongue and blasphemous lies." Elizabeth spat out before her gaze shifted to the woman with the missing leg. "You are not a hunter after all, are you?" Elizabeth asked, but in reality it was more a rhetorical question that needed no answer. The blonde moved out from behind the decorative chair and sat upon it, believing the woman to have no more bullets within her gun, and to no longer pose much of a threat to Elizabeth. "It seems there may have been a grave error on my behalf..." Elizabeth looked at the woman apologetically, before finishing her sentence. "I was misinformed on a...few details." She shook her head and looked down at the woman sympathetically. "I am afraid that your gun cannot kill me. You are free to try, regardless to what I have just said, but I fear you will only find yourself disappointed." The woman stated in a matter of fact tone, before her right hand lifted and pointed to Ramsey. "And now, it is simply too late to go back. Impossible in truth." Elizabeth eyed the woman's bleeding abdomen. "Oh dear. That looks very serious."

Re: The wilted Tower (Rams)
She stared at the woman in disbelief. The crazy ***** had nearly eviscerated her and all she got was Oops by way of apology? No offer to call an ambulance or take her to a hospital. She narrowed her sapphire eyes as the woman moved closer, speaking something about hunters and not being able to die. The lady was off her rocker.
"Captain Ramsey, United States Army." She ground out, covering the bleeding wound as best she could while holding her knife. "You'll forgive me if I don't get up to shake your hand." She bit out, feeling snappish and a little light headed. She blinked as she tried to make sense of the woman's words.
"I've done enough killing, and I don't plan to do more. I just want to get to the hospital and get this damn thing stitched up." She muttered something about how this was going to ground her for longer than she wanted. Her head thunked against the nightstand and she sighed softly. "Just go away so I can call for a doctor or whatever." She sounded tired and part of her was worrying about how she would be late for training in the morning.
Shifting slightly, she pulled a pillow off the bed and stripped off the case. Balling it up, she pressed it to her stomach with a hiss and shot a glare at the woman. "If you're going to stay, be useful and hand me the damn phone."
