RP ROULETTE

Hey all,

As promised, I am announcing a new RP competition. This one will be run much like the roulette idea that others had started in the past.

This competition will strictly have to do with the current sidestory, specifically bouncing off the rumours heard in the pubs:

• 1. You hear a man saying that all vampires should be hunted down and thrown into concentration camps, or at the very least given mandatory electronic ID bracelets.
  2. You overhear some people talking about how the recent increase in crime is due mostly due to the emergence of vampires.
  3. You overhear some people talking about the rumours that vampires are responsible for the outbreak

POST HERE BY FRIDAY AUGUST 19TH IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE INVOLVED

Once I have a list of participants, I'll be using a random draw to pick a certain number of names from a hat to be involved in teams of 2-3. Each team will be assigned a random rumour.

The RP can be done via thread or via chat RP -- post a link to your RP to this thread so I can keep track of them -- tag them with [RUMOUR MILL].

You will then have until September 22nd to complete your RP.

Prizes TBA.

What are the posting requirements? Word count etc?

I will throw Doc in. But based on the requirements might be willing to toss Omar in as well.

First and foremost, the requirement is a completed RP.

Seeing as this includes both chat roleplays and threads the requirements are malleable -- thread minimum is two pages (20 posts, approx) with no word limit on each post.

Chat RPs require at least 1000 words posted by each participant. If all participants can't get together at a specific time, a plot involving all but with separate interactions will also be allowed (if that makes sense).

So, this is the side story, but for those of us who have charries who want to do something, but don't know many characters, so you're going to throw them together sort of ordeal? So all the requirements as the side story comp transfer over to this...or is this it's own sort of thing/spin off?

Sorry, I'm just wondering if I can do three side stories atm. So I want to be really clear on what I may be signing up for before I sign up. Potentially.

It's just a spin-off. The same rules don't apply. It's not a part of that competition nor will they particularly have any impact. It's just for a bit of fun/get people interacting with people they might not have before.

Okay thanks. But, they could have impact, right? I mean...if something potentially impactful happens?

I'd point Josh toward it if it were impactful, or someone else can if they think it is. Though this and Josh's sidestory comp are two different things, and the threads wouldn't be in the running for both.
