Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
Dominique lost sight of the brownies, of her sire, his highly amusing wife and even Mr. Sunshine himself. It was like music to her ears. Like a sound that could suck out all the walls and hold her attention while everything crumbled down. Kenlie. Her sister was always into her brownies. Now the party was in full swing. She grinned.
"Missed you." She mouthed.

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
Doc winced at the insult tossed Minx way. Normally he would bow up at someone insulting his spawns. But this was Ric, and Ric had cause. And this was the perfect venue to get his revenge until the Ball and Chain jumped in. Now, it appeared however, Ric would not bid again. This meant Ric would have to get his revenge some other way. That gave Doc pause. With the auction, there was a type of control that was to be followed. Without the auction, it would be a ‘no holds barred’ type of revenge.
Doc had no idea what possessed Cytherea to bid, except to **** things up for Doc, and it looked like she had succeeded yet again; except this time.. She just fucked Dominique as well. He secretly thought that might have been Cytherea’s goal all along. She was a jealous little fiend. He pondered bringing the Ball and Chain up to date on the situation. Except...
Except, then came another bid. Doc just shook his head. They think they are doing something great and good for Dominique. But instead they just fucked things up. At this point, Doc saw this bidding becoming a train wreck. Any thoughts of him placing another bid, died right then and there.”What say you, Ric? You up for a 35k date?”

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
Doc's words flittered through her ears, earning a bright smile from the allurist. He always had a way with words. And really, who could be blamed for the car incident? Hadn't Doc provoked her? So really, the downfall of that building laid solely on his shoulders. Cytherea was about to offer he reply, but Roderic finally chirped up, and his reply made her want to break her glass and pierce his throat with the broken shards. But then, wasn't it said, men were typically men to the women they.. liked? Doc was a fine example of that analogy. In fact, if we were going by that, he was madly in love.
Again, her reply teetered on the edger of her lips, but she was interrupted before she could expel a single word. Instead she saw Kenile approach; one of Doc's many spawns, the man was like a daddy day care. Only he had about as much fatherly instinct as a 12 year old boy, and couldn't care for a dying rat. Really, it was a disaster over all. And this one had some attitude? Maybe she should be getting stabbed instead. Maybe she could stab both of them. But then, Doc did like his 'children' and he seemed to favour Roderic. That could be put on hold for now. Dom was the only important one here.
''Seventy thousand,'' she replied, taking the drink the waiter brought. Was Doc trying to get her drunk? What was he up to. She finally cast a glance his way, and the expression on his face revealed a lot more than he would like to admit. Truth be told, Cytherea had never really intened to win her step-childe, she just wanted the men to pay for the pleasure of tormenting her. She knew parts of what was currently going on, after all, she'd been practically stalking Doc for weeks now, she knew more than he probably thought. The jist of it came down to; Dom and Ric needed to sort this **** out, and this was the perfect way. But it seemed Ric was stingy, or stubborn. So now the back up plan would need to be implemented.
So she picked up her glass, and she moved towards her husband, and instead of sitting in the seat next to him, she sat in his lap, and very quietly informed him. ''Don't worry, I have a great plan.''

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
Seventy thousand. Seventy thousand dollars. Now that was a whole lot of brownies and oil changes. Right? It was several nights worth of something. As soon as Cyth took a seat in Doc's lap it occured to her maybe this was going all sorts of directions but the one she was anticipating. Her eyes glance around and finally while things are quiet as far as bidding goes she has a chance to take in the scent of mixed drinks, a little less dirt that wasn't a hard scent to pin on Sunshine himself and...oh yes. Fudge.
Lots of rich, creamy fudge. Her nostrils flared just enough to take in a little more of the sweetness on the table she was now facing. HOPE reached out slowly and wiggled out two brownies. While she stayed in place with her back turned one was gone quicker than anyone could blink. The leafy layer sandwiched between the thick gooey fudge and the brownie beneath was wonderful. So much so goosebumps hit the back of her neck. The second brownie perched between her fingers was for the lovely one keeping Doc's lap cool. Seventy thousand would buy her a lot of sweetness.
"There is a lot more from where that came from." The colorful brownie minded shadow winked after setting the treat in front of her. A gentle nod was followed by her retreat to return to her expected spot.

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
The bids were coming in hard and heavy, and I wait until things simmer down before I glance at Cytherea. I'm well aware of the game she was playing, much like Doc was a little while ago. The typical life insurance policy ran anywhere from ten thousand to forty through most work places. Occasionally you would see some for fifty, before people went to other places to get more life insurance plans. Unless you had a real nice job through the government or state. But only a small percentage of an entire populace had that.
Seventy-five thousand was called out as the last bid, but I make no move or inclination one way or another as to my interest or not. I am less than pleased with her response, but that doesn't mean she can't make a come back. "And what if I'm allergic to chocolate? Or just don't like the taste of fat and cholesterol in my arteries?" I raise a brow and look at the woman dressed in a mud colored outfit that potentially spoke a lot about her. If it did, that would be disappointing.

"Then we can clear them, promote your attention to your obvious impeccable fit condition which is bar none." She had seen him and yeah so he had something to look at. So did several others. She shrugged. "Grab your Nikes, son. I can out run your..." She paused because she felt a little extra happy kick in and because it wasn't nice to swear in public. "Your fine self." She winked. "I got your arteries." She nodded. If there was thing she could do it was run until she ran out of land or sunlight. "The real question is if you can keep up. Stamina needs to be high. If not we can work on that too."

I think this is what people call, 'trash talking,' only it's gone over my head and lost on me. I look down at my boots, which is the same pair that I wore the last time we met. She makes a quip at my stamina and I shrug my shoulders. I think I have decent stamina, but I'm sure someone could do more than me, and there are those that could do a lot less than me. "Eighty-thousand dollars for the start of silence sounds like a damn good deal." I stare at Dominique, then glance at Cytherea, letting her know it was her bid, if she so choose to make one.

Mortll sat back quietly in the back she hadn't spoken a word, She watched the spectacle taking place. Well wasn't this special she didn't much care for how the young woman seemed to be the pawn in a room full of ulterior motives. Even Doc seemed to be caught up in the agenda war... Mortll silently raised her hand " 100k" her voice rang clear and solid through the room.

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
wandering into the Necro after being reminded there was an auction of the fleshy variety, Enzo thumbed his phone closed and rerouted his attention to the goings on in the blood bar. He'd a mind to see about purchasing someone for Mortll, she deserved a treat for no other reason than he felt like it. Picking up the auction bills he perused the lists... hmm perhaps Kaspar... no, they'd get on as well as a priest in a dry county. Flipping through the other names, one he recognized but didn't think would work either, he finally got to Dominique.
He'd met her once before. She'd helped his sister Yvette... a slightly off kilter bit of vampress who had a tendency to wander barefoot in snow storms. If he recalled right, Mortll knew her, and she was connected to his friend Doc.
That would do. She was a grand gift.
Wandering over to the area cordoned off for the bidding, he sighed as he stepped in. Mortll was already here. Could be amusing even so. Stepping behind her, he glanced over and saw Doc and the man he'd seen from the Pirates ball... Ric something.. and Ball and Chain. **** if that was safe for anyone. His favourite kind of evening.
"150,000" his london accent rang out just as he put a gentle hand on his fiance's shoulder.
"Fancy meeting you here... you're ruining your christmas surprise."

Re: Dominique- Auction Card 2016
It was at that moment she realized she should have made more brownies. One hundred and fifty thousand big ones. That would be buying out a flour mill. Chocolate hued orbs were fixed on the latest Dragomir to make an appearance. The sharp dressed man was not an entirely new face to the elusive shadow. She first encountered him when she was returning one of the younger ones to the temple after a freak snow storm in April. She still had the number the golden haired female gave her. Her nose twitched subtly. She had not seen the woman since. This fine specimen bidding, however, had an eye for fine machinery...yes he did.
The scent of fresh decadent fudge filtered through and pulled her attention back to the bidding at hand. With her reach requiring little to no effort she pulled two brownies from the pan. A brief stroll to the two last bidders had her delivering the loaded delights in her hands to their table.
"If one beauty could ever truly compliment the other it would be the two of you."
Damn. She was feeling good. Everything was looking good...great in fact. Her eyes darted to her sire, his wife and even Mr. Sunshine. Yes. These brownies were hitting the spot. She was on to something. So much so she was inclined to try a little marketing once this was over. She eyes the sharp suit that is right up Docs alley. If this Mr. Dragomir wins she would have to tap him for a little mass marketing advice. His attire oozed sale and presentation. She strolled back to her post while plotting.
