While she stayed here for a time. Was she already planning to leave? He could sense she was upset about something. Perhaps he could have acclimated her to his somewhat unorthodox lifestyle a little bit slower, true. He needed to remind himself that most others still had humanity close to their hearts. Still, weren't there horror movies out there showing worse? Or at least the same amount of viscera and gore? He suspected than the images being on a screen made the thought of it all more palatable to people. To him it was all just meat. Talking animals. The ones he took were usually, not always, but usually talking animals of the worst kind.

He wasn't a hero by any stretch, nor was he even an anti-hero. He was a monster who preyed on humans trying to be monsters. Humans who did monstrous things.

It just so happened he believed all vampires were capable and even wanted to do the same deep within their cold dead hearts. Some just had to be shown the path. It was a situation that, given eternity for a lifespan, an immortal would no doubt face at least once if not more. The choice of having to take a life to protect themselves or a loved one. In Trahir's case much less provocation was needed for him to resort to lethal levels of violence.

As Shadis presses her lips to his though, his mind swims. Again he finds her aura pulling him, drawing him to her. He feels his desires rise.

She was an Allurist, emotional. She needed to feel things. That was what made her who she was. He was a Killer. Both paths leaned toward physical pursuits, but emotionally they were miles apart. Her emotions were enhanced, his deadened. Somehow though they found a middle ground. It seemed in Trahir's world opposites attracting were a reality. He was content to lose himself in the kiss.

Soon the sun would rise. Nicolette would be by to prepare the crypt for their rise at sunset and their eternal dance through the moonlight would continue. He was content for the moment to glide across that dance floor with Shadis.

"Not all of us can kill with impunity. You will though at some point find yourself in a situation where you will have to choose death for another. When that time comes, hesitating could cost you or others you care about their lives. You are an immortal. You have all the potential to be anything you wish. Lifetimes to learn. Those mortals like Stephen, they are like insects. Their lifespan a few paltry years. They are nothing compared to you."

He leans in and gives her another soft kiss then. "Will you be joining me in the eastern chamber today?"

Shadis simply felt within the moment, a slight peace that Trahir had given her as she leaned into him. To feel his arms which grounded her right in that moment and she closed her eyes to relax into his form. He began speaking once more and she listened to his words rumble through his chest and she knew that he was right. However, she was simply more disappointed in herself, due to this factor. She couldn’t kill a man because she saw his mortal coil and combined with her own fear of death, she just simply couldn’t kill the man. At least not with her own hands. The woman wanted to be able to kill should she need to, because there were obviously humans out there that wouldn’t hesitate to kill, even if she was hard to kill. It would probably drive them into a bigger frenzy to kill. When that happened, she wanted to be able to kill for her life, or for the life of someone she cared about. She couldn’t always rely upon Trahir to do it for her.

Slowly she leaned her head back to peer up at him only to receive a soft kiss as he asked her if she was joining him in the eastern chamber. A hand lifted to slide along his cheek then and a soft smile curved her lips. “Of course I’ll be joining you, I just…” Pride made her stop in her words. The woman shouldn’t need anyone, yet here she was asking him to kill a man, before wanting him to chase away the cold. To feel his hands upon her once more to distract her mind and thoughts from what had transpired. There was a moment, one right before she stabbed him, where she could have sworn that she felt angry, angry enough to kill. Except her hand had missed, missed because it had strayed from target to pierce him in the shoulder. It was a type of darkness that she didn’t know she had, because she hadn’t stabbed anyone like that before.

Many times had she seduced humans, brought them to her before she drank, but it had all been clean, not a drop of blood had been wasted. Then if stabbing him wasn’t enough, she had leaned in to taste his blood regardless, to give her a reason strong enough to want him dead. It came from a place devoid of feeling and it hadn’t been a place that she had felt before. Instead of speaking, she rose up to trail her lips along his cheek and down along his neck. Silently, she pulled her arm away to rest her palm against his chest. Her lips trailed down along his neck then as her fangs pressed into her mouth once more. Lightly she grazed his skin with her fangs and a shiver travelled down her spine. The nails of her hand curled in towards his chest as she breathed softly against his neck.

Finally, she pulled away so then her brown hues could peer up into cold eyes, ”I just need to feel you all around me.” She finally admitted, as hard as it was to admit it to the man. Her instincts told her to run at this admittance, but the devil already had his claws in and she wanted to explore every inch of that deal, even if it meant she had to deal with this new darkness that seemed to be plaguing her. So long as he was there to catch her, to break her apart in his hands, to make her feel something. Something which was surely better than the feeling of coldness. ”I need… Your dominating hands.” She said softly as she rose to place her lips against his again.
