Location Chats

I love location chats. They're a fantastic place to RP, but I think if they were set up slightly differently people would be far more likely to use them.

The current set-up requires you to be in the location you wish to RP in. Which is great for driving people to a location/business/etc in theory. But in practice, it ends up being kinda limiting, particularly on spontaneous drop-in RP.

Energy is a huge consideration and characters doesn't always have the amount needed to get to the location in question. Summoning can be an answer but that requires finding someone with the power and anima. Raids also restrict people's movements in terms of accessing the location chats.

It'd be nice to see a system where a person could type in the name of the location to join the chat - much like IRC. Or much along the same lines as a private call chat via hacked webphone.
