Abused, broken and without any companionship, one turns to the blood caked linage that they had once forsaken. To bury their emotions in violence and to endow the feelings of pain and revenge on others.

Chesire looked around the room, the room that had once stood as her living room. Now the room caved in, and the walls shone through to other portions of the desolate house. The body parts of her family members were strewn aside on all corners of the ground and mangled furniture. Yet, instead of feeling elated that the father that had abused and raped her was gone, and the mother that had ignored her existence and spited her in imaginary death was now on the other side, she felt empty. And then she saw the remains of her twin, of the one she saw as her other self. The one she promised to protect from the injustices of the world and of her family. Anger didn't begin to describe the feeling she felt quaking through her entire body, red wasn't what she was seeing but the blood of those who she now swore to hunt. Vampires had taken her livelihood away from her, her hope. So vampires are those she will now kill.

Marks feels his thoughts racing.
