<Sirena> with little to no hesitation, Sirena quickly lifted her head to look at Adelita, jumping slightly as though she had been startled. She smiled weakly at her offer. “If you would, please. I'd probably drop a glass,” she admits, knowing her hands were still shaking. She was surprised she didn't drop on when she took the mugs out of the cabinet. “There's creamer in the fridge and sugar is in the small jar beside the coffee pot. I'll just take mine black for now. I don't plan on going to sleep anytime soon.”

She assumed that since Adelita told her she would be taking her up on her offer to shower she might want to stay the night as well. She glanced back at her room, knowing the mess of random items thrown about the room might seem less than impressive to her guest. Perhaps she should clean up a little…? “Sorry about the mess,” Sirena begins, speaking to Adelita after she had disappeared into the kitchen. “I just moved in and I've been a little lazy about unpacking. I'm going to clean my room up a bit so you don't have to worry about dodging boxes or stepping on anything,” she says, laughing a be nervously.

She knew a messy home should be the least of her worries, but she needed something to distract herself with. Maybe clean and organizing a few things would keep her mind off of the events of that night. She began cleaning and organizing, actually managing to unpack some more boxes that she had been too lazy about unpacking earlier. Oddly enough, she completely trusted Adelita and didn't think for a moment that she would try to hurt her. She was glad she had someone with her and she wasn't cowering in her apartment alone.

< Adelita > Lita was off the couch as soon as Sirena said she could handle the coffee situation, listening to the woman on how she would take her coffee tonight and the reason for no flavor. Lita would be putting a lot of creamer in hers, because she hated the taste of the coffee beans. There would probably be more creamer than coffee in Lita’s cup just so she could swallow some of it down.

After Lita poured coffee into two mugs, Adelita looked at the asprin in her hand and counted them quickly. Seven. She had seven and coffee was hot...anything melted when it was hot enough, right? She hoped so. Lita tossed all seven in the mug, grabbed a spoon and began stirring the coffee, and started up some conversation while making both cups...very different cups in the kitchen. “Don’t worry about me. Once I’m asleep, I’m out like a...light. Or something.” Adelita shrugged, pulled up the spoon from Sirena’s mug to see how the aspirin was doing and smiled widely as she saw tiny half circle discs melting.

“I love sleep.” That wasn’t true, Lita loved a lot of other things more than sleep, but she slept all day without any idea of what was going on around her and that was an oddly scary, yet comforting feeling. That whatever happened while she slept, would be dealt with later, or she wouldn’t hear about for hours after it happened. “Just black, right?” Lita asked, her head in the direction of the kitchen entryway, before both spoons were chucked into the sink and Lita was holding Sirena’s mug in her right hand, the left holding her own...eighty or so percent creamer and the other coffee. “Thank you so much for the coffee.” Lita said as she sat down on the couch, taking a small sip of her coffee before handing the mug off to Sirena.

<Sirena> hearing Adelitas voice draw slightly closer as she left the kitchen, Sirena quickly left the room to take the mug off coffee. “No problem,” she says happily. “Thanks for pouting me a cup.” She sat back down on the couch and took a few drinks from her cup. She glanced over at Adelita's glass and began laughing a bit softly. “Are you sure you wouldn't like some coffee with your creamer?” She teased, hoping it would lighten the mood.

She held the glass in her hands for a few minutes, just wanting the warmth of it. She began slouching slightly in her seat, feeling sick to her stomach for a moment. Thinking that it could have been from the drinks she had earlier that night she simply shrugged it off and took another drink of her coffee, hoping it would fade away soon. She looked back at Adelita for only a moment before she felt something coming up her throat. She threw her hand over her mouth quickly and ran to the bathroom, throwing up just as she reached the toilet. She was confused and she didn't know what was making her feel this sick. She sat there for a few more seconds before standing and stumbling to the sink to rinse out her mouth, gagging at the taste that had been left in the back of her throat after she had thrown up.

<Sirena> She thought she had started to weave out of her sickness, but everything started to get blurry. She looked back, hoping to get some help from Adelita. “C-call help. I-I think-” she cut herself off, realizing that if she was poisoned earlier in the night then she wouldn't been feeling the effects just then, and there was only one person who could have done that to her. She attempted to close the door, stumbling and almost falling on her face.

< Adelita > Adelita laughed at the question about her coffee and then shook her head. “I have never liked the taste of coffee beans, but I realize it’s importance of caffeine in my life and everyone else’s.” Adelita admitted taking a small sip from the mug, making a tiny face. More creamer would be needed later-depending on how long the aspirin took to do its job.

Honestly, the Mexican woman had no idea how this was going to turn out, either nothing would happen, or-and something happened and Lita watched the woman as she stuttered over her words. “Sirena?” Adelita asked, concern growing inside of the woman now. How long did she have to wait? How long should she wait? Adelita decided sooner than later was better because later she might be dead before Lita realized it and then Sirena would be unrevivable.

“I’m sorry, Sirena. But..this is the only way. To keep everyone, including yourself safe.” Lita said as she leaned towards the table and set her mug of creamer and a splash of coffee on the table. “But-don’t worry! You aren’t going to stay dead. We’re going to be very close for a very long time.” Adelita turned towards the woman again and gave her a small smile after nodding her head. “You see...I’m going to make you a vampire. Surprise!” Adelita stood and moved to where the other woman was so she could pat Sirena’s hand as a gesture of support and friendship.

“I’ve only actually done this a time or two before…”Adelita admitted as she pulled her cellphone out from the top of her sexy lingerie and pulled up Blake’s number. Come on up. Second floor, far right. Next, Lita pulled out the tiny scissors used for cutting nails or something from her top and started jabbing her right arm with it, in an attempt to get some of her blood out of that arm. But, it wasn’t as effective as Adelita thought it might be. “Do you have a knife somewhere? Sirena. I need a knife or you’re going to die.” Her voice sounded slightly strained as Lita got up and headed to the kitchen in search of a knife that would do the job the scissors wasn’t going to do. “Sirena. Where are your knives?” Lita frantically asked as she started pulling drawers open and searching, but not succeeding with finding what she needed.

<Sirena> Sirena sniffles a bit as though she was going to cry when she realized she had been tricked. She could only stare at Adelita as she listened to her explanation. “How?” She croaked out. “You look human… You have no fangs,” she says, her voice very quiet. She was starting to feel worse and the sickly feeling that had started in her gut now washed over her body. She watched as Adelita attempted to stab herself and draw blood. She flinched even though Adelita failed to draw blood. Though Adelita was beginning to panic, Sirena was surprisingly calm. Well, calm wasn't really the word for what she was feeling. She was tired. She just wanted to sleep now and she didn't care much for answering Adelitas questions. “I haven't unpacked them yet,” she says quietly.

There were a few boxes stacked in the kitchen but she had no idea which one the knives were in, and it wasn't as though she could get up and help Adelita look for them. She didn't want to die, but at the moment she wasn't scared of it. At least not in the sense that she would panic hysterically. She was having too much focusing at all. “I don't know where they are… Adelita… you have to call someone… Please don't let me die...” she says, hoping she would be able to hear her even though her voice was so soft now.

< Blake > “On my way.”

It was all he needed to say as he ended the call and took a cursory look around the street. Everything seemed to silent and most of the homes were without light making him feel as if all the little humans were tucked away in their beds for the night. Good. It meant less people would see them as they came and went. Taking one last look to abate the nagging feeling at the back of his mind that he was being watched, Blake finally shrugged it off and headed into the building he had been hiding in front of for the last while.

< Blake > The apartment building wasn’t bad really. A little run down but not horribly so. It wasn’t hard for him to figure out Sirena’s apartment and even from the doorway his heightened senses could hear the sounds of panic and scuffling from inside. With a soft sigh the shadow had to wonder if something had gone wrong already in the process or if Sirena was just putting up a fight. Either way he was about to play ‘Mr. Fix-it’ to whatever issue lie on the other side of the door. Drawing on that last little bit of power that would allow him to enter Sirena’s home without invitation he smiled wickedly as the door unlocked at the slightest touch of his hand. Perfect.

That was when he came face to face with the source of the sounds he had heard earlier. Adelita was scurrying about trying to find some way to bleed herself in order to save the, apparently, poisoned and dying Sirena. Well then. Points for creativity from a fangless vampire. Most of his kind would have been so...cliche. A little bite, a bit of draining and then they would bite themselves and yadda yadda yadda….so boring. The scene before him was actually bringing a smile to his face at just how imaginative the sassy and yet always adorable Mexican was proving to be.

Closing the door with a soft creak and a final click, Blake stepped forward and placed a hand on Adelita’s shoulder seemingly oblivious to the dying woman not too far away.

“Lita….relax. Overthinking and rushing isn’t going to help the situation. Think. Sirena has moments to live and you can’t open a wound. Use what is at your disposal to save her life or this is all going to result in Sirena’s death which would….suck.”

He knew the words were harsh but he was, after all, her mentor. He was her friend as well but there were certain times were one role had to supersede the other and this just happened to be one of those times. Friend hat off, teacher hat on.

< Adelita > While Adelita riffled through the drawers, Sirena confessed to having the knives packed away still and the woman sighed. Boxes everywhere. Not enough time to go digging through boxes. “Not every vampire has those things!” Adelita’s voice was loud, obviously Sirena unknowingly hit a spot with Lita. Lita was well aware of her imperfections every time she fed from a blood bag, or people, scratch that, vampires confused her for a human and a potential meal ticket. “I know of another vampire that doesn’t have fangs.” Lita sighed, rubbing at her temples as she thought of how to get her arm gushing blood for Sirena before it was too late. “I’m special. Okay?” Lita looked at the silverware drawer, staring at a fork. That wasn’t going to be much, or any help to her or Sirena. Neither would a spoon, or a butter knife. “Who doesn’t unpack knives? What do you eat? Grass?” Adelita asked at the time a hand came to her shoulder and rested there.

The familiar voice had Lita stop moving all over the place, stop rummaging around and just stand there. She knew all those things. That the woman only had moments-but how many was anyone’s guess. “I know.” Adelita said quietly as she attempted to slow down and focus on what Blake was saying. What could she use? What? There were no knives...scissors? Where were those? How long had Sirena been living here to not have the most basic essentials unpacked? At least the essentials Lita thought were essential. Scissors-definitely needed. The Mexican woman could barely get through two days without using a pair. “I think…” Adelita said as she moved from Blake’s rested hand that was on her shoulder, to the coffee pot. Lita immediately dumped the coffee from the glass carafe, down the kitchen sink, and then raised it and smashed a side of it against the raised middle center and watched the majority of it break and rest in the sink. However, there were large shards of jagged glass that didn’t break free from the top of the plastic carafe lid in some parts. Those would work just nice-Adelita believed, so she turned the lid so the glass was facing up to the sky and dragged her left wrist over a sharp piece of the glass carafe, her blood dripping to the ground.

Then without any word or further movement from the woman, Adelita and the carafe dropped to the kitchen floor. The carafe smashing the rest of the way as she lay there limp, no indication of getting up any time soon by word of mouth or bodily stirring.

<Sirena> When Sirena saw Blake she felt as though her heart had jumped up in her throat. It began beating quickly, simply because the sight of him frightened her. Blake was the obvious vampire and since she knew now that her suspicions were correct, she felt as though she had a good reason to be completely and utterly afraid of him. Adelita being a vampire still confused her since she didn’t look as pale or have fangs like the others. Sirena seemed to shrink back in the background a bit as the two talked and Adelita tried to figure out a way to save her. Her vision was blurred slightly and the rapid beating of her heart was beginning to make her sweat a bit. Was it too late to try a run? She knew she wouldn’t get far before she fell on her face again. She was probably shaking too much to even stand.

With her back leaned back against the bathroom cabinets, Sirena slouched and watched as Adelita reached for the coffee pot, and flinched as the sound of it shattering pierced the air. She knew what came next- Adelita was going to cut herself and probably come to her rescue- at least that was what she was hoping before her vision became completely blurred and her eyes drifted shut. The only thing she could her now was her own rapid heartbeat.

< Blake > “Son of a *****!”

The words were hissed under his breath as he looked at one woman and then the other. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Adelita seemed to be passed out from some sort of...sight of blood issue (which he would address later) and now Sirena was slipping closer and closer to the gates of Hell. Taking a deep, albeit unneeded, breath Blake took stock of the situation. First the human. Then Adelita. Then back to Lumen. Immediately. This night was taking far too much of an awkward turn for him. What had been meant as a night of fun and debauchery was quickly turning into a night of far too much death even for his taste. At least when death was on his schedule it was limited to those that deserved it.

Making Sirena is main priority he gave a soft sigh and made his way over to her slouched form. Taking a swift knee he bit down firmly into his own arm. Taking yet another deep breath he pulled the barely living woman into him and wrapped an arm around her just incase she started squirming or fighting against him. Looking down at the blood that was supposed to be floating up and wisping away into nothingness he had to pause at the sight before him. Unlike usual his blood wasn’t the ‘standard’ black smoky thing he was used to it being. Now he seemed to be bleeding like any normal human….or in his case vampire.

For the second time that night…

“Son of a *****…”

Only instead of frustration this time his words were filled with wonder and amazement at the personal changes he now seemed to be going through. Yet another mystery to be figured out later because for now he had to focus all of his attention on the woman in his arms. Gently opening Sirena’s mouth as she lay limp in his arms he sighed and simply shook his head before placing her mouth over the self inflicted wound.

<Sirena> There were a few seconds of hesitation before Sirena began to stir. Her heart sped up much faster and as he had anticipated she began to struggle and she attempted to force his wrist away from her mouth. She began gagging and choking on the blood as she tried to fight, kicking her legs in a fit. She was in pain, feeling as though she was being burned alive. Soon her struggles became more sluggish and she stopped struggling. Even though his blood burned her throat she drank and hoped the pain would end soon. Her heart slowed and she finally opened her eyes. Her vision was still blurred, but she didn't want to close her eyes again. As her heart beat slowed she feared she would never open her eyes again even if she convinced herself to even blink. Her eyes bounced around the bathroom and to Adelita who she could now see laying on the ground where she had previously seen her standing and talking to Blake.

Sirenas eyes snapped up to Blake and as they did she felt her heart stop. She froze for a moment, her skin growing pale and cold. Her eyes did not lose their life however. She pushed away from him in instant and coughed, a few small drops of blood splattering on her hand. She took a few deep breaths as she tried to collect herself, holding her throat as it burned. She stared at Blake in shock, surprised that he had been the one to feed her. Nevertheless she was glad she wasn't dying or dead.

Sirena eyes bounced back to Adelita who still laid on the ground. “What happened?” She croaked slowly. “Is she alright…?”

< Blake > Having kept her still and silent with his bleeding arm until he felt her heartbeat slow he disentangled himself from Sirena and. Just as he was about to lean her against the bathroom cabinet where she had originally been found he was shocked to hear her speak in a voice that signified she wasn’t about to die anytime soon even if it did sound like absolute ****. Poor thing. Sirena seemed to be trying to rush the matter which...wouldn’t exactly end well. The body took a fair amount of time to die and while the transition might have happened fairly quickly in some aspects it would be, in some cases, hours before Sirena would be truly considered ‘undead’.

“Relax, don’t stress yourself too much. You need to rest and...adjust to things. When your senses start to sharpen it’s going to be absolute hell. Trust me. I had a migraine for days before I got used to the hearing.”

He looked to Adelita and sighed softly before making his way over to her limp and unconscious form. A moment or two passing before he knelt down beside her and ran a hand against her cold cheek. If there was one thing that irritated him to no end it was being unable to tell if a vampire was actually okay physically given the whole cold and pale 24/7 issue that seemed to enjoy complicating things. Unfortunately for him, Adelita was different. It seemed as if her turning was only partial even though Blake knew for certain that Adelita was a true and actual vampire despite her fangless nature and healthy human complexion. Tilting his head he gave ‘Lita a slight shake as he grumbled something about ‘horrible timing’.
