The second he was up and off the ground, Enver had a finger pointed at the direction of the wraith and nodded his head at Keara's question, even if he didn't notice her asking her sister or looking in her sister's direction. "Damn right he did. Said we should be punished for something or another." Enver hadn't heard the entire conversation, but he heard enough to know that the wraith he had captured to do his bidding wanted to harm one, or both of the vampires, because Jaime or the puppies hadn't bothered the thing at all.
His wife had her own conversation with her sister, but that didn't stop Enver for getting right in the wraith's face, as if he could actually do something, anything to the entity. "I don't care what the rules are or were for our kind, buddy. What we do in our home in our private time is our business." Again, Enver wasn't sure what set the wraith off, it could be anything. Jaime's presence, something Deanna had told him about one of them, or anything really. Enver lived by his own code of rules, and not what some dead guy thought they should live by.
As Enver approached the wraith, it too approached him. Both males, one tangible and the other not, seemed to want to prove something, but what, was anyone's guess. While that happened, his wife was silent for about half a minute or so before she said something Enver had hoped he would never hear come from his wife's lips ever. Or anyone's lips, in truth. His wraith was Ven. Ven was her sire and the guy she was with at some point, even if wasn't anything close to what Keara and Enver had.
A flurry of strong emotions ran through Enver as he stared at the wraith who seemed to not want to confirm or deny his wife's suspicions as it stood there, floating in front of Enver. First, there was a sarcastic chuckle that came from Enver's lips as he ran a hand through his hair and scowled at the wraith. "Of course it is! Why would it be anyone else?" It was an unfortunate twist of events and some sort of sad, comedic tragedy to the guy. To get the ex of his wife without knowing or wanting him around.
"Would be just my luck, yeah?" Enver continued prattling on about the situation before it went from feeling sorry for himself, to hostile anger. "Well, he can go right back where I got him from. He's not staying here, I don't care who or what he is." Enver sneered at the wraith before waving his arm in and through it, at an attempt to rile the other guy up to get him to leave on his own. The wraith did the exact opposite and instead lashed out at Enver, zapping even more of his energy, leaving the guy feeling tired and exhausted. He'd been here before, just an hour or so before and that encounter left him feeling not much different from this one.
Enver threw a hand over his shoulder and muttered a few curse words before he turned his back on the wraith and looked at his wife and then at Deanna. "It's me or him!" In Enver's mind the two could not live side by side in a world that Keara existed in. He was not willing, or able to share his wife with anyone, especially not her ex-husband.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
The scene might have been somewhat comical if being observed by an outsider, but as it was Keara could only stand there as the shock of what was happening began to settle in. Ven was here, in her home, and fighting with her husband. She couldn't figure out she'd managed to escape the realm with her form intact and neither her sire nor her sister had. Was it because she had died closer to the heart of the city or did it have more to do with their personalities? Was she so stubborn that she'd survived the realm by sheer force of will alone? She blinked, unable to react to anything until the ultimatum came from Enver's lips, and her reply was almost instantaneous. She immediately reached out for Enver, grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards. The gesture being twofold as it not only made her choice clear, but it also put a little distance between him and Ven.
"You My Love. There no choice there is."
The words almost shocked the elder as she wouldn't have been able to say it if it weren't true. Ven was still family in a way and yet when it came down to it, there was no choice between the love of her past and the love of her life. She turned her husband so that she was then between the two warring men and placed both her hands on his face as she looked lovingly into his eyes.
"No choice need be made My Enver," she repeated. "Only ask I must that send him back you do not. Not to that accursed realm. Not unless asks he does." She looked around the larger frame of her husband to the shadowy form of her past love. "And ask you will not," she warned before turning her attention back to Enver. "Please My Love," her arms encircled him, her hands clenching the material at the back of his shirt as she crushed herself against him, her head resting on his chest. "Please Enver. Allow him time for to this life to adjust. For us to adjust. Learn he shall, sure of this I am. And loyal he is. Serve us well he shall."
She wasn't so sure that Ven would want to do anything for Enver, ever, but if she asked him to do as he was told, and perhaps repeated any orders he'd been given, she was sure he'd comply. of course there would be rules to his staying. Like Deanna he would be banned from their cell. That was their sanctuary and she wouldn't have that violated if she could help it. Her thoughts weighed as heavy on her heart as they did her mind and she sighed in frustration. If push came to shove, Ven could be assigned permanently to watch over Jamie's wellbeing. Deanna only had to check in on him now, but as a blood relative of hers, Ven would likely watch over the child as he might his own.
Deanna watched and waited for the madness to pass. She didn't think it was over by any stretch of the imagination but still she had to something, say something. Keara's choice didn't surprise her in the least, as no-one in their right mind would choose one of her kind over a flesh and blood man, no matter who they were.
"Ven," she curtsied as best she could with her non-existent form. "I am so sorry that I did not recognise you My Lord. And the things I said. I'm so terribly embarrassed, even if everything I said was true. Please. I implore you, do not attack Enver. An attack on him is an attack on Keara and you would not wish her harm I am sure."
Jamie looked over at Deanna wondering where the snippy female went that he knew and loved. She was talking strange. Talking like she might have long ago, perhaps. He understood the gist of what was going on but hadn't yet figured out the relationship between the new arrival and the two females in the room, all he knew was that they all knew each other somehow.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
Enver almost regretted saying what he said, giving his wife the ultimatum a minute after he said it. What if his wife picked Ven? She very well might. He made her like this. He spent years-no, decades-no, even longer than that with her. What Enver and Keara had in time compared to Ven and Keara were just a blink of an eye to Keara in the course of her life.
She grabbed his shirt, but didn't say anything right away. She was going to choose Ven. Enver knew it. Well, over his very dead, vampire body. Ven would get tossed right back where he came from before he let some old, dead guy get his girl. Then she spoke her choice and Enver didn't even hear it because he was so lost in the idea that she would pick that douche over him, that it didn't register with him that his wife had picked him.
When Keara cupped his face and said there was no choice to be made and that she didn't want Ven to be banished, Enver knew. He knew that she didn't want him to go because Keara still loved Ven! Enver's biggest fear was happening, something that probably shouldn't have ever crossed his mind, because the possibility of Ven returning had to be one in a billion-yet here they were!
"You love me, but want him to stay?" Enver scoffed and backed away from his wife, feeling wounded from her obvious choice; Ven. "I'm sure he'll serve you real well." Enver threw a hand up in the air and turned away, only to see what was going on with Deanna and Ven. "Not you too!" Enver's jaw clenched as his hands did the same motion before he bee lined for the wraith. "Go on! Get the hell out of here." Enver kicked and punched at the incorporeal form while Deanna was still blabbering on to the guy that was her sire too.
The wraith didn't move, or even acknowledge Enver's antics, instead, Ven remained focus on Deanna. The wraith waved a dismissive hand at her words. "It is not your fault, but the fault of insolence." Only then did he look towards Enver and then past him at the woman who he didn't know anymore. "It is true what your sister says? You risk your safety and that of every vampire with him?" Ven could not believe his eyes. The guy next to him was a laughing baboon and nothing compared to him.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
"Robert, not now." Keara snapped.
She'd barely heard her former sire as he questioned her and she wasn't in the mood for one of his lectures, not when it was clear that the situation was hurting Enver. She didn't realise that asking her husband to keep her sire around would upset him so, but honestly she probably should have expected it. The pair suffered from insanely, irrational jealousy where the other was concerned and had the roles been reversed, she'd likely have already been at her altar performing the spell to banish her spectral competition.
"Enver," Keara implored, as she attempted to take a hold of her husband’s left hand in both of hers. "Please, My Love. Calm yourself. For me."
The raven haired woman brought her husband's hand to her lips and kissed his knuckles. It was a gesture he'd grown accustomed to, but one he hadn't much liked or understood at the very start of their relationship. it was however a custom that Ven was more than familiar, as she'd long ago treated him with such respect and reverence. Her eyes never once left the form of the man she loved beyond life itself, as she tried to help him get his emotions under control. There was no need for him to feel slighted or put out by Ven's presence, but of course he wouldn't believe that yet, if ever.
Deanna watched as the storm raged ever on, falling silent as it seemed to her that no-one really wanted or required her there in that moment. Ven favoured his eldest childe and former lover, who in turn was fixated upon her irate husband, who was currently trying to ward off Ven. It was the sort of love triangle dramas were based around and resigning herself to the fact that she was surplus to requirements, she went to join Jamie on the sofa.
"Dee Dee?" Jamie all but whispered, not wishing to draw attention to himself. Do you think we should get out of here and leave them to it?"
"It's a smart idea kiddo," she used Enver's term of endearment for the boy, "but moving now might be like waving a red flag a bull. Might just be best to settle in and enjoy the show." As an afterthought she added. "If things start going dark, run for the door and leave it open for the fur babies to escape too. Got it?"
"Got it," he replied with a solemn nod of the head.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
"Yeah, not now." Enver chimed in, with a snap of his own. Narrowed eyes focused on the incorporeal being before his wife was in front of him and grabbing his hand. She kissed his hand and usually, he would pull away. Only this time, Enver didn't. He looked down at his wife and then let out a long, unnecessary breath of air from his tight lips and then nodded his head.
He still wasn't happy. Not by a long shot, but Enver recognized that his unhappiness didn't stem from his wife. Not all of it. It was fate. A curse. Enver was cursed! He made some inaudible sound from the pit of his throat that was like a clearing of it and a growl, but didn't say anything yet. He just needed to calm down, but damnit if that wraith wasn't in his house making nice with Dea and then trying to put his foot down with his wife. HIS wife. Enver's wife. Not Ven's. Robert's. Whatever he wanted to be known by.
"Fine. He can stay. No where near us, or Jaime." Enver said quietly before clearing his throat. He could be the bigger man, couldn't he? He could. He had to be. "But don't think I won't have him sent back where he came from if he starts making some trouble around here." Enver scowled at the wraith that seemed to be listening on what Dea and Jaime were talking about. He wasn't going to eavesdrop on their conversation. Enver trusted Dea with Jaime, even if they weren't the best of friends or always got on, he knew she wouldn't ever do anything to him. Ven-Robert, though...
"Right. Maybe I should take him on a tour and show him where he can do and not go." Enver suggested with a grim grin to his wife. "You coming?" He asked his wife, as he looped an arm around her shoulder, and started moving towards the elevator. "Hey. You." Enver looked towards his wraith, and then whistled at him. "Grand tour time." Enver didn't ask, he was telling the wraith what they were doing.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
Keara was more than a little thankful when her sire didn't talk back to her when she told him to be quiet. What she failed to realise in that moment was that, that wasn't like Ven at all. He had perhaps been struck mute by the fact that she'd dared to talk to him in such a manner in the first place. It was that or he was trying to figure how best to leverage the situation to his advantage. It must have been strange for the male to return to the land of the living and find his wife in the arms of another man, to watch her prostrate herself before another. If he had any plans at all brewing in his mind, the chances of them succeeding were not in his favour, as Keara and Enver had a bond, the likes of which, she'd never felt before. His emotions were sometimes hers and vice versa. They were connected on a unique level and were both overly jealous of any attention the other got from member's of the opposite sex. In the short time they had been together, they had been through quite a few challenges and more than a few arguments, leading Keara to believe they were unbreakable as a couple. The fact that she melted against Enver as he draped his arm around her shoulders and even placed her own arm around his waist was yet further proof to the man of her past, that Keara had changed.
"Start you should your tour now My Love. If away from Jamie and us he to stay is, unless required he is, then tell him you must that this Jamie's apartment is. Though all cells off limits should be."
She wasn't going to argue with him over where the wraith could and could not go, even if she had once loved him. Ven being back in her life wasn't something she was prepared for and yet she seemed to be coping surprisingly well. Love and duty had bound them, still bound them, but her feelings had changed, shifted. She no longer felt drawn to her sire as she once had and it had nothing to do with the form he now inhabited, but rather with the man who stood at her side. Enver had opened her eyes to what love, true love, was, even the years of history between Ven and Keara could not lure her from her husband's side. Nothing and no-one could do that, it was not only unthinkable, it was impossible.
"Allowed he is, his freedom, yes?" she asked thoughtfully. She wanted Ven in this world, not because she adored him, but because she couldn't abide the thought of someone she cared about being trapped in the other realm. "Like Deanna. Unless of service he is being, free he should be for this new world to explore. Help him it might for the city a new to learn."
Deanna had stayed behind with Jamie, but if she hadn't she'd of agreed with Keara. It helped a lot to be able to roam the city streets, follow people in their daily, watch television even. Had she been able to manipulate the computer, she'd of loved to have been able to surf the internet but as it was, she was stuck reading only that which others chose to read. Reading what Keara read was one thing, going to an internet cafe another. There she could flit back and forth between the patrons, unheard and unseen, reading anything that interested her. Deanna even attended lectures in the university and schools when the desire to do so struck her. As such, she was quite well versed in the modern culture. The wraith would have been happy to offer her services to Ven in helping to speed up his transition too, but she would wait to make this offer, as right now, it seemed more important to her than ever that he learn about his boundaries, both in the home and when it came to his former wife. She half expected that half an hour in the presence of the overly affectionate couple might have the male begging to be returned to the realm of nightmares from which he'd been inadvertently pulled.

Re: : The Ghost Of Your Past : [Keara]
Enver listened to his wife talking as he began walking. With an arm still around her, the other found comfort in his suit coat. The tall male just nodded his head and then started talking. "Damn right. He can't just be going anywhere. Not everyone can see the guy-or know what he's getting up to." Enver might have relented on his wife loving Ven, but he didn't give up on the idea of the other guy still being in love with his wife. "You heard her, buddy. No cells unless invited it." Enver sneered as he looked at the wraith who was following-but taking his time as he observed everything about the asylum. As if he really were a welcomed guest.
"Yeah. He's free to do whatever he wants. Maybe that'll keep him out of our hair." And away from Enver so he wasn't tempted at getting him banished one way or another. Superficial and instant thoughts that came to his mind. The fact he was still in the city, following them in his good time pissed Enver off. "Doubt I'll ever need that guy's assistance." Enver muttered before the elevator door opened on the main floor.
"Here we are. Main floor. You can pretty much go anywhere..." Enver debated telling Ven about the trapped corridor-because wouldn't that be a great night? To have his butt in a cage for his kind for an entire twenty-four hours? Enver thought so. But he also knew that if Enver didn't mention it, Keara would. "Except that way. Unless you like being locked up tight for a while." Enver chuckled, leaving it rest there. If the guy got curious as to what could lock him up...Well, that was just his fault, wasn't it? Enver had warned him where not to go.
"There's different rooms for different things. One for entertaining. One for cooking-because I still eat. And because I like cooking sometimes." Enver grinned, feeling a thousand times better than Ven. Here, he was not only tangible, but he could eat too. Real food! "Then a room that has the television and Wii." Enver pointed in that direction. "Not many come down here. So this floor would pretty much be the best place to be." To not bother their family, the Allurist thought-but again refrained from saying it to possibly start a fight.
"The attic is pretty much fair game too." He said with a nod of his head. No cells up there, lots of people up there to keep you company if they can see you. Would be best to stay off the other two floors. No point in going there since you're not allowed in any of the private rooms." Enver's eyes strayed over to his wife where he looked at her for her opinions and thoughts being this was her house first.
Hello, new adventure.
