Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Blake > He ‘tsk’ed at the accusations that Sirena continued to ramble off and gave the slightest of smiles. She most certainly was an observant one. If he hadn’t been so occupied with Xylia, Lumen, ‘Lita and a few other important tasks he might actually put a claim on this one. She seemed particularly interested in his kind after all. Drumming his fingers ever so lightly on Adelita’s hip he lost himself in thought for a moment, completely spacing out on what she was saying as he stared off into nothingness for a time. Something...was off. His eyes leaving both women as he looked at each and every patron of the little party.
Time seemed to slow to a crawl as those honed sense began to scour the room. Every bead of sweat on every human present was visible and carried a scent with it. Every single movement of an arm or finger caught his eye and was quickly dismissed as harmless or as a potential threat. Every inch of the room was covered until finally, he spotted it. It wasn’t a particular movement that caught his eye so much as it was the lack thereof. The way arms crossed across his chest, the cold stare of his eyes, the way everything and everyone seemed to gravitate around him as if he had some ward or shield around him that actually prevented people from coming into contact with him. That, without a shadow of a doubt, was a vampire.
If there was one thing Blake found he couldn’t stand it was someone staring at him...or in his general direction. It seemed as if this particular individual deigned the rest of the party beneath him although, as one that carried the look of a predator in his eyes he was doing far too poor of a job concealing himself. Even amongst the thick warm air of the party that would have made a normal human sweat uncomfortably, the fog of a machine or two hidden in the corners or underneath an object or so, the entire atmosphere of the all too human party was broken by the mere presence of this other individual. Blake could care less what the other man was supposed to be dressed as at this point all that mattered was that one of the three of them was most definitely on the dinner menu for him.
Closing his eyes he took a deep and unneeded breath, by the time he had let it go everything was seemingly back to normal. Adelita looking at him and Sirena excusing herself from the both of them, possibly to go order herself another drink to hide her embarrassment...or to run off to the bathroom as most women at parties seemed to do when things didn’t go exactly the way they planned. Sure it may have been gender profiling but did Blake really care? Not really.
“Adelita, don’t turn around but someone has been watching us for quite some time. I don’t know who but I’m pretty sure he plans on making one of us his dinner. My money is honestly on our dear new human friend but nothing says he isn’t after one of us either.”
His words whispered softly as he ran a hand lightly along her side. He really wished, for one night, Harper Rock would not **** with him. Here he was about to have both women, hopefully, taken back to Veil...or Lumen, either one would have worked. Now though, he had to worry about some other individual ******* up his night and trying to feed on either his new friend or, worse case scenario, himself or ‘Lita. Looking around with a sigh there was only one thought that crossed his mind…
****. This. City.
< Adelita > Lita pouted once their friend vanished, but her eyes remained on that male in purple. Lita was the sort of person to do things that people expected others not to do, or told them not to do. Living under her daddy’s thumb for too long and dotting her i’s and crossing her t’s got old and boring after she was free of his reign, thanks to her worthless, deadbeat sire. At least one good thing came from Remington.
“You scared her away.” Adelita said with a soft sigh, but knew this wouldn’t be the end of her time with Sirena. She hadn’t left out the front door, so it seemed Sirena was fine with staying at the party. Adelita turned so she could grab her drink and attempt to see who was staring at them, because she couldn’t help and not try to see. Seeing no one from the quick glance, her line of vision returned to Blake, with her drink now in her hands. “Dinner sounds fun.” She said with a wink before slowly unwrapping her legs from the male she currently sat on and jumped off his lap. “I have to use the girl’s room.” She blew a kiss in Blake’s direction before wandering off to find the human girl, if not for the sake of keeping the guy Blake saw off her back, then keeping the other one, the one in purple, away from her.
<Sirena> Fleeing to the restroom, Sirena shoved the door open for the second time that night, only this time when she did she heard a faint laughter coming from right behind her. She glanced over her shoulder but didn’t see anyone there. She felt chills run up her spine. She walked into one of the stalls and locked the door, then leaned against the stall wall and stared up at the dim light on the ceiling. She felt like she was being mocked… She didn’t care about how stupid she had made herself look just moments before because now she felt cornered…
Sirena heard the door open again and her heart jumped up in her throat. Luckily it wasn’t the predator she had been expecting that entered. She watched Adelita’s clicking heels pass by her stall and she pursed her lips, trying to decided whether or not she should say something. She had a feeling she was only there for her. To cheer her up and keep her from sulking in a corner. Odd for someone she had just meet, but she did have a very lively character. She waited for Adelita to speak first, just encase she was wrong about her reason for being there. After all, she didn’t want to make herself look even more foolish than she already had.
She heard the door open again, the loud music spilling in for a few seconds before it was muffled by the closed door. The male pride stood by the door, eyeing Adelita threateningly. “I hope you’re not planning to steal my dinner,” he says smoothly, giving her an easy smile.
Sirena sunk down slightly when she heard the male voice. ****.
< Blake > Blake simply smiled as Adelita excused herself to, he guessed, to check on Sirena. After a brief moment of hesitation he began to look around the club and, not really to anyone’s surprise, he caught more than a few eyes. Oh the things he would do if he were free to do them but, alas, he was here with Adelita and they had a new companion for the night in Sirena. No need to be too much of a glutton after all especially when both women were simply a bathroom trip away. Adelita may not have been the jealous type but there was something inherently...wrong about the thought of scooping up the owner of one of those sets of eyes and letting the wild things happen. This night, this party, was proving to be a very very dangerous situation but not one that seemed physically so, it was more of a test of will or morals almost and Blake was failing miserably. He was, without a doubt, going to hell.
Turning away from the rest of the room he looked at the bartender and motioned the individual over. A quick whisper and one of those wicked smiles later Blake had the next round of drinks for everyone at the bar procured. If he was going to be left to his own devices then he’d simply do what came naturally to him….live lavishly, throw his money out the window and become the center of attention. He already had the attention and he had just managed to spend a few hundred dollars, now it was simply a matter of something a bit more lavish than that barstool.

Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Blake > And that was when he saw it. Something reminiscent of some lust filled fantasy dream, a large armchair off to one side for those who felt just the slightest bit prideful. It would offer a good view of the room and stroke the ever increasing ego of the vampire that was about to occupy it. That wicked smirk almost becoming malicious as he indulged in his pride. The gravitation of the women, and men, almost a natural thing as his pale body starkly contrasted with the darker lighting of the room. This was Blake’s domain, among the scantily clad beautiful people of Harper Rock and although he may have slowly been surrounded by these humans he kept one spot open specifically just for ‘Lita should she return any time soon.
< Adelita > The Mexican woman was at a vending machine that was tight to the wall, in the woman’s bathroom, filled with all sorts of things. Lip gloss, condoms, funny, gag gifts, cheap, stupid things when she heard a male’s voice from behind her. If he thought that was going to scare the Mexican woman, he had another thing coming. “Geeze, can’t you read? It does say ladies bathroom. Not a pit stop to an orgy fest, but...since you mentioned dinner, I had thought of helping myself to an all you can eat buffet between the legs of our little friend.” Their version of ‘dinner’ was probably very different-no, Adelita was positive they were. “Now go back and find your own pet to play with.” Lita rolled her eyes and turned her back to the mail, scrounging up some coins from her tiny clutch to buy some stupid gift from the metal machine on the wall.
Evidently, the male in purple didn’t find her words as amusing as she had, and decided to take action since the woman was not only significantly smaller than he was, but also had her back to him. “I saw her first, you *****.” He rasped out as Pride wrapped both hands around Lita’s shoulders and tugged her around to face him. As Adelita was turned, the woman slung a slew of Spanish profanities at him, and then brought her heeled foot up and stomped it on his own left foot. Lita was never a fighter, but she had been taught a few self defense moves for obvious reasons of her own safety as people either loved or hated her padre, and most hated him and would do anything to get at him. With her foot on his, an elbow came up and attempted to smack him right in the nose, but even in heels, Adelita was significantly tinier than he was and ended up hitting his jaw. “Magnífico.” She cursed herself under her breath as he changed his tactic and released one of her shoulders, grabbed a handful of her hair and shoved her face smack dab into the metal machine.
<Sirena> peeking through the crack between the stall door and walls, Sirena could see the back of Adelita’s head. She stared at her for a moment, wondering if maybe Adelita’s back-sassy would make him leave. After all, he had just walked into the girls bathroom… that was pretty- oh, who the hell cares?! He came to kill them! She thought that hiding in the stall would keep her protected for a short amount of time, but she was anxious knowing that Adelita could get hurt or even killed. Sirena tried to think of some way she could get them both out and into the crowd of people before the vampire killed them.
Sirena gasped in shock and covered her mouth when the vampire Pride slammed her head into the metal machine and she got down on her knees, crawling under the stall wall to get out of the stall without actually running into the two of them and drawing attention to herself. She grabbed the trashcan that was spray painted to look bloody and she quickly threw it over the vampire Prides head, then punched it as hard as she could…. Whiiiich probably hurt her more than it hurt him, but at least with the trash can over his head and shoulders he would be confused for a few seconds.
Shoving the vampire to the side and into an open stall, Sirena grabbed Adelita’s hand. “Time to go!” she says hurriedly, hoping to run out before the vampire had them cornered.
< Blake > Just as he was getting comfortable and enjoying the many conversations he seemed to have immediately become the focus of he lazily waved away a few admirers and sighed. While being the center of so much attention certainly did scratch an itch for him it really wasn’t the same without Adelita to enjoy it with. Taking a moment he brushed his mind against Adelita’s and immediately he sat bolt upright. If there was one thing he knew all too well it was the memory of an attack, and given how recent it was...well, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to put two and two together. Their friend had made a very foolish attempt against Adelita and, he supposed in a roundabout way, Sirena.
There really wasn’t much time for Blake to assess the situation, nor did he want to. In an instant the facade of lust had become one of sheer wrath, the color seeming to fade from the room as he rose to his feet ever so slowly. The bright neons and flashing lights seeming to become dull all throughout the room and for a party that had been lively and animated only moments before seemed to immediately become far more repressed and subdued that anyone would ever suspect as if the joy and happiness in the room had suddenly evaporated. With each step the Blake took the effect would grow more intense, some even going so far as to burst into tears for no reason at all as they looked to the man that was slowly almost stalking his way towards the bathrooms. If he focused just enough Blake could smell the three of them all coming from within.
With a single finger on the door Blake pushed ever so slowly, the creaking of the door almost theatrical as his aura seeped into the bathroom now as well. Simply standing in the doorway with the door fully open Blake would stand there, unaccosted by the human security (who all seemed to be trying to figure out what the hell was happening to everyone) as the lights began to flicker and dim, the air slowly growing colder and colder as he focused on this foolish vampire that thought he could harm what Blake had already claimed as his.
“Ladies”
His voice cold and emotionless as he spoke softly.
“Please give the gentleman and I the room.”
< Adelita > Well, somehow Adelita hadn’t expected this turn about. It was a brash and abrasive maneuver from the guy behind her, but she did provoke the sleeping bear with a stick after more or less claiming Sirena as hers. “Ow. Chinga usted.” Adelita spat out as a hand went to her face and wiped at the cut on her forehead she incurred from the slam to the metal vending machine. She must have hit the corner just right to leave a small gash on her forehead.
And then, another somewhat unexpected event transpired. For the second time tonight, Sirena came to Adelita’s ‘rescue.’ Sure, the first one was misplaced, but the intentions were good enough. To have it happen once from a complete stranger was a rarity. But twice? Adelita believed you had more of a chance at seeing some rare, natural phenomenon than having someone be kind to twice in a single night.
They were just about to make a header for the door when it slowly swung open. Lita wasn’t much of a fighter-not without a decent weapon of some degree and so if this happened to be one of Pride’s friends, they were so screwed. Adelita doubted she would be able to finish sending Blake a text message by the time the friend entered the bathroom. Quick eyes darted around the bathroom as Adelita looked for something to use that hadn’t already been used by Sirena to use against the potential foe, only to come up with no options. Adelita very well couldn’t pull a sink from the wall, and the mirror appeared to be glued or built into the wall.
“I’ve never seen this before.” Adelita said, apprehension in her voice as the room started to darken around them. Something big and bad was coming and the women had no way of really defending themselves. Other than a trash can and a few powers Adelita possessed, it was very possible, one, or both of them wouldn’t make it out of her alive. Luckily, by the time her eyes returned to the opening door, they were met with the frame of Blake standing in it. A breath of relief was released as Adelita tugged at Sirena’s hand, because the thought of Sirena dying wasn’t going to sit well with her. Not when humans didn’t come back from death. “Come on.” Adelita was keeping this one close to her. Very close.
Lita moved towards the door, and then pushed Sirena around Blake and through it, before a hand came to rest on Blake’s shoulder. A quick, and simple gesture to give the male a little external assistance for whatever he was going to do with one of the few powers Adelita had and knew how to work, before slipping out the door to follow after her newfound acquaintance.
<Sirena> Looked up at the lights as they flickered and began to dim. What the hell had caused that? She could hear the vampire rushing to his feet in a rage inside the stall, ready to change out at them. She was eager to run out of the bathroom and back into the club. She hoped the presence of about fifty others would keep them safe. At least until they left the club. When the door cracked open her heart jumped up in her throat. She thought someone else was coming into the bathroom and they would be putting themselves in the line of fire. She was shocked to see Blake’s face.
It was easy to see that the games were over now and Blake seemed ready to kill. For a moment she thought that he was with the other vampire, that was until he asked the to leave. Sirena followed Adelita’s lead, completely confused. She looked at Adelita with a questioning look painted on her face. She saw the small gash on her forehead and she frowned. “Are you alright?” she asked once they were out of harm’s way.
Sirena couldn’t help but spare a glance back towards the bathroom. What would happen now that they were gone? Whatever Blake had planned, couldn’t have been good. Just remembering the threatening look on his face made her shake in her boots. “Should we call someone? The cops, maybe?” she asked. She didn’t know if calling the cops would help, after all, who would believe their story?
< Adelita > The Mexican woman was at a vending machine that was tight to the wall, in the woman’s bathroom, filled with all sorts of things. Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Blake > It didn’t take long for the door to close with a hard slam after the two ladies had made their departure. A sickening look of joy on Blake’s face as the door closed. It wouldn’t be long after that that everything would go completely silent. Almost too silent. That silence punctured not one but twice with the sound of a sickening crack and the sound of flesh being torn from flesh. Whatever was happening in that bathroom wasn’t going to leave a pretty sight when all was said and done. Fortunately, the whole ordeal didn’t take very long to sort itself out as Blake emerged only a few minutes later. A few spatterings of blood covered his very nearly naked body accompanied by a very satisfied grin on his face as he looked around for his companions.
“Ladies, I do believe it is time for us to take our leave….before things get any more complicated.”
Making his way towards Adelita get grinned for a moment and slipped a pair of elongated canines into her hand as subtly as he could before stealing her for a deep and passionate kiss.
“When we get home….”
He let the words hang there as he gave her a wink before motioning towards the door. It was most definitely time for the three of them to be gone, especially if he had heard correctly and someone had mentioned the police. It was a kind of attention neither he nor Adelita needed that night and attention he was sure Sirena would have liked to avoid as well. Police in Harper Rock were, after all, not exactly known for their fairness or any form of self restraint when it came to shooting at people. Looking to each of them he motioned towards the door.
“Ladies first.”
< Adelita > Sirena was...nice. That was the word that popped into Adelita’s mind when the woman asked if she was alright. “Si. I’ll be fine. It’s just a little scratch.” Little and scratch might have been a slight understatement, because it was clearly a gouge and was more than ten millimeters long, but all it would take was a solid sleep during the day and it would be healed by the night she woke up again tomorrow.
Lita rapidly shook her head when Sirena suggested calling the cops. “No!” She practically hissed out to the woman, because if the ‘cops’ were called, Blake would be in a lot of trouble. Not that someone probably hadn’t already called the cops. “Blake will be fine.” Adelita said with resound certainty, before slowly walking away from the bathroom, her right hand grabbing a bar napkin so she could press it to her forehead. “Besides, he saved us. I doubt that other guy will bother us any time soon.” Adelita assured the darker haired woman, as she turned towards the bathroom at the sound of the second noise. Blake was going to be alright, was the singular thought that Adelita had running through her mind as she waited for him to reappear from the bathroom.
And when he did, she sighed a breath of relief, even when her eyes landed on the parts of his body splashed with blood on it.She saw no immediate injury, so the assumption was that it was the other guy’s blood. Adelita had to snort softly when Blake mentioned things being complicated-that was more or less Lita’s theme song the last year or so of her life. “I think that would be a very-” She stopped when Blake focused on her and pressed something into her hand. Eyes started to drift down to see what it was, but failed to see what the items were when he melded their lips together.
For a split second, the gesture took Adelita off guard, but then she laughed when he mentioned something about what was going to happen when they got home, realizing that the maneuver was a distraction to what was actually going on in that brilliant mind of Blake’s. Still, Lita’s free hand went to her lips, and traced the lower lip before shaking her head and heading to the door.

< Adelita > They were almost there when Lita remembered that she and Blake both had coats in the coat check. Her free hand went to her top where she put the tickets in, keeping them secured between her skin and the outfit and slapped them down on the counter. “We need our coats.” Lita pointed to them, as the coat attendant started shaking their head. ”Sorry, miss. I’ve been given strict instructions to not let anyone leave until the cops get here.”
The Mexican woman sighed and then inclined her index finger towards her, as she leaned on the counter’s surface. “I don’t think you understand, sweetie. We’re in a bit of a hurry, so we’ll be needing our coats now.” Adelita’s tone of voice silky and soft as her fingers scrubbed against the fabric of the male’s shirt, the woman giving him a kittenish smile before she continued on. “And I heard you’re the man to see about anything. That only you, can get the job done.” Adelita sighed heavily before both her hands came to rest under her chin as her elbows remained on the counter. “Do you know how to help a girl out?” She left the question vague on purpose, letting him believe whatever he wanted. ”Yeah. I’m your guy.” He admitted before moving to get the coats of her and Blake’s. Normally, Adelita wouldn’t mind leaving her coat behind, but that coat had her identification in it and she assumed Blake’s did too. She didn’t want to deal with the cops tomorrow when they came knocking on her door at some point.
”Right here, honey.” The guy said as he approached the counter, Adelita moving away from the counter so he could put the coats on the counter. Lita grabbed her coat and slipped it on, before handing Blake’s off to him. “Thank you, so much!” Adelita raised her left hand to her lips and blew the guy a kiss before walking away from him. ”Wait! Hey!” He called after her from the coat check, but his words were falling on deaf ears. Lita got what she needed from him and so she was through with him. Getting out of here before the policia arrived was her first priority.
<Sirena> looking between the two of them, Sirena took a small step back and waited for their kiss to break. She blushed and cleared her throat as if to say hey, can't that wait? . After all, she was thinking that Blake had just beat the vampire in the bathroom. She didn't think that he had actually killed him. In fact, she still thought the enraged monster would come chasing after them. Sirena was eager to leave, but she didn't think she would be going anywhere with them. She figured she would walk with them until she decided to split and go home.
She followed their lead, trailing behind the two of them without a peep. Sirena shoved her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket and though quietly to herself as she followed. why would these people help me? Once they were out of the club she could already hear the sirens from down the street and she felt the sudden urge to run and get out of sight.
“Won't you get in trouble when the… Guy tells the police what happened?” She asked, making it obvious she was oblivious to the fact that he was dead. “And you'll be charged with fleeing the scene as well…”
Sirena eyed Blake for a moment in silence, getting the impression he wasn't worried in the least. The police zoomed straight past them in a hurry. No one pulled over to ask where they had come from as she had thought they might, so it almost looked like they were home free. She was still worried about being caught. She turned her head to look back over her shoulder at the bar where she saw the police getting out of their vehicles. “And the bartender might say something as well…”

Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Blake > Blake simply let the line of questioning come rattling out from Sirena as he took his jacket from Adelita. It was oddly nice to be covered once again, especially given the events of the night thus far. A simply shake of his head and sigh as he began to make his way away from the party. Another potentially wonderful night ruined by some upstart asshole with delusions of grandeur. This city seemed to be full of people like the prideful young ******** and it seemed like every single one of them was going to find Blake sooner or later.
Once they were far enough away from the party he turned to Sirena and gave a kindly smile.
“No one will give us any issues, trust me. The only ones that will actually admit to us being there is the Bartender and with no one to corroborate his story there isn’t much the police will be able to do. That’s the bright side of being at such large functions. It’s easy to hide in them.”
Looking over to Adelita he grinned and wrapped an arm around both women’s waists. Perhaps the magic of the night wasn’t quite over just yet after all. Surely some kind of happiness could be salvaged from the mess that had occurred at the party.
“So...what are our plans from here ladies? Anyone have any ideas where to go from here?”
< Adelita > Adelita wasn’t worried about anyone looking for her-or even remembering her name. She had a fake identification card, so the best they would know is her fake name, with a very fake address and that they were looking for a hispanic woman. There wasn’t a lot to go on, in retrospect.
Lita didn’t bother answering Sirena, because she wasn’t worried about it, and the woman had a feeling, as with everything, Blake would have an answer that would satisfy Sirena. The trio walked, linked together by Blake and the Mexican woman knew what she wanted to say. Where she wanted to go-but chances are that wasn’t a viable option...unless….Lita looked over at Sirena and shook her head, believing that the woman in black wasn’t going to be for a threesome. Not of the kind Lita was thinking of, anyways.
“We could go to another club….oooor..” Adelita stopped to think, still walking besides Blake, her gaze drifting between the two of them as the woman thought of more, or other ideas that were different to that of the club scene. “We could let our new found friend pick what it is she would like to do.” Adelita’s gaze now focused on Sirena and Sirena alone, a smile in the woman’s direction.
<Sirena> Letting out a soft and nervous laugh, Sirena looked back at the couple and shook her head when Adelita offered to let her choose their destination. “A-actually I was planning on going home. I think I’ve had enough excitement for one night.” She looked away from the two of them and up ahead to where she would need to turn to take her normal route home. “I’m going to be parting at the corner… so whatever you guys had planned for tonight won't be interrupted by me anymore than it already has been.”
With a bit of hesitation, the black haired woman then pushed Blake’s arm away from her waist and she distanced herself from them. She still had the feeling Blake had to be more than he was letting on. After all, he fought off a vampire long enough for them to escape! In her mind, she was thinking that her accusations from earlier were correct and they both were pulling her along on a string.
She folded her arms across her chest as she stared straight ahead, ready to run if needed. “Sorry. I don’t mean to be rude, but I didn’t plan on going anywhere but the club tonight.” As they got closer to the corner, Sirena seemed to be growing farther apart from them. She had a feeling it was obvious she wanted to to run off, and she just hoped they would allow her to.
As they reached the street lamp at the corner she gave them both her brightest smile she could muster and she waved. “You two have fun!” she says happily. She glanced to Adelita a bit worriedly before spinning on her heels and walking away.

Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Blake > Taking Adelita’s pause as a chance to button his duster around himself so he wasn’t as...revealed he simply gave a shrug. The idea of letting Sirena decide actually appealed to him given his penchant for enjoying the random things that made life seem that much more fun and worthwhile. Immortality, after all, was a ***** like that. It made things so...predictable when you truly got to know how most people would react to things. Already he had a feeling that unless something happened to change the route things were going, Sirena would most likely run home at the first chance she got, call a friend and tell said friend everything that had happened that night….and then there would be at least two people that could cause potential issues for both Adelita and himself. Regardless of that little fact, he’d give Sirena a chance to prove him wrong...hopefully.
And there it went. As soon as the words “I didn’t mean to go anywhere but the club tonight” left her lips Blake was immediately resigned that Sirena would only do what he expected her to do and run off. The slightest roll of his eyes as he gave Sirena a forced smile. Woman seemed to have not a single iota of curiosity or adventurousness in her that night. Pity. Looking to Adelita out of the corner of his eye he whispered softly to her as Sirena began to hurry away from them with some kind of...fearful or worried look in her eyes, the distance between them made it hard to tell. Or maybe he simply didn’t care. Hell, if anything the woman was becoming more and more obnoxious and grating as time went on. After all the BS of that night and how she was running off without even a thank you? ****, maybe he should have just let that other vampire turn her into a four course meal. She was, after all, just another human right? A play toy if nothing else in his eyes.
But...maybe that wasn’t it. Maybe it was because of Adelita’s interest in the woman that Blake hadn’t let that other vampire have his way with the both of them. Or maybe it was his protective nature of Adelita and Sirena was just a coincidental saving. A result of having to make sure Adelita wasn’t killed off or...whatever their ‘friend’ had had in mind. That was something he’d figure out later though. In the mean time there was a human that needed dealt with. Somehow.
“So now what? God damn, that girl is as flighty as can be. I’m really not sure she should be allowed to go home and call her friends to tell her about what happened tonight. Last thing we need is a bunch of those Twihard bastards trying to track us down or some hoodlum posse trying to track us down for ‘messing’ with their friend. Or worse.”
< Adelita > There was a subtle pout to her lips as Sirena’s chance to shine and show everyone a different side to her, passed. The Mexican woman was positive that it was there...just hiding under the surface and if Lita presented the opportunities at some point...Sirena would reveal a more extroverted side of the woman. All Adelita needed to do was push the woman to that point.
Sirena had already started taking off before Blake presented Adelita with a small conundrum for the pair of them. She suspected that no one would think her to be a vampire, but obviously something was a little...off with Blake. However, the latter statement presented them both with a complication and Adelita didn’t want, or need that complication. She doubted anyone did.
So, what to do? What to do? By this time her attention returned to Sirena, Lita noticed she was making quite the distance from her and Blake. “Maybe-” Adelita’s initial idea was to enthrall Sirena-but she would never release her friend Wynifred, from that ‘relationship.’ Leave her alone to fend for herself? Not after the longevity of their friendship. Wynifred was Adelita’s longest lasting friend-even if it was through the use of vampire...magic? Whatever it was, the woman had been with Adelita far too long to let her go so willy nilly. “Maybe not.” The dark haired woman shook her head, before sighing. She could have suggested Blake to enthrall Sirena, but Lita knew that if that was an option, he would have already done it.
“She can’t tell anyone anything if she’s one of us?” There was a final option-killing Sirena, but not something Lita actually entertained. The biggest threat of Sirena was that she was human, but a relatively safe human, minus a few things she knew, or suspected that she about Blake. Which was easily fixable. People didn’t rat on their own kind...did they? Some would-but she doubted Sirena was that type of person. “Sirena has to become a vampire.” There was no third option even spoken about, because it wasn’t a choice in the Mexican woman’s mind.
<Sirena> Needless to say, Sirena was happy to get away from the duo. With quick steps and a cautious awareness of those around her, she hurried back to her apartment, by stepping by a few people on the streets. The last thing she needed was to run into some creep on the streets, or even another vampire. When she reached her apartment, Sirena unlocked the door quickly and tossed her jacket on the couch as she rushed to her room to grab her phone.
And there it went. Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
<Sirena>She had three missed called from her friend Lory, and she knew she would have to listen to lory complain before she could tell her best friend about the crazy things that had happened at the bar that night. She dialed in Lory’s number, listening to it ring…
Why was Lory so horrible at answering her phone? She than realized she had called Lory several times that night and she had never picked up. Not once. Was it because she was angry? Because she hadn’t answered Lory when she called? She only had herself to blame for leaving her phone at home. Great! Sirena grunted in annoyance and tossed her phone back down towards the end of her bed. What was she supposed to do now? There wasn’t anyone else she could call and tell about what had happened. They would just think she was crazy! How was she going to sleep tonight?
For a while, the black haired woman sat in silence on her bed, wondering what her next step should be. Should she call the cops and tell them what really happened at the bar? Should she tell them about the monster that had tried to attack her? Since Sirena was still unaware that Blake had killed the other vampire, she began to think that he might have just been waiting for her to get home so she was alone and no one else was around to save her. Locking the door should be her first step. She jumped off of her bed quickly and rushed to the front door of her apartment, taking a quick peep out of the small hole to make sure no one was close by.
< Blake > Tsk’ing almost to himself as the sight of Sirena grew smaller and smaller as the distance between them grew Blake had to curse himself for even allowing the girl the chance to escape. He’d eat his own damn shoe if she did anything other than what he expected and given how young she was and the general reactions and behaviors to ‘scary’ or ‘cool’ things in the minds of the club going 20-somethings of Harper Rock it usually meant that the friendly phone tree would be in operation followed by a few social media hits.
That just simply could not be allowed.
Turning to Adelita as she came to the same conclusion he had already come to, he gave a solemn nod. She was right. Sirena had to become one of them. It was the only way to ensure that the secret of their kind truly remained safe. At that point Sirena could tell and show everyone she wanted about ‘vampires’ but would she really be the type to put her own existence at stake? If tonight was any indication then self preservation ran strongly in the soon to be vampire and that was most definitely a quality Blake and Adelita could manipulate to their advantage.
“She’s less wary of you darling, why don’t you do the honors? I’ll keep an eye out for you so no one disturbs you. You turn her and we can take her back to Lumen and we can teach her about her new life together. Who knows, she might even say thank you at some point.”
Giving her a fanged grin a slight nod towards where Sirena has disappeared from view was given. Now came the fun part, the part where they got to hunt their prey and Blake would get to see Adelita’s unique and, hopefully, effective hunting methods.
< Adelita > Blake had come to the conclusion, for whatever reason, that Lita should sire the woman. Adelita wasn’t against the idea, but she sort of had a small issue. She had no fangs, which meant she would have to be crafty, like Adelita had been with Elighan and anyone else from here on out. Poisoning was a bust, or she was just doing it wrong (which was probably what it was-even if some telenovela’s made it seem easy-it was anything but).
“No problema.” Adelita said with a resounding nod, then moving in the direction he indicated with a solo nod of his head, Adelita was off after the woman. Being a quick thinker on her feet had always been Adelita’s strong point in life, even if some of those thoughts were sneaky, manipulative and underhanded. Whatever worked in her favor, right?
The nice thing about them splitting up, or Blake lagging behind, was that Adelita could work things in her favor. She believed that Blake was a vampire and that Adelita...wasn’t. A couple times tonight, Sirena had helped Adelita and even attempted to save her. In the end, Adelita would have to play a damsel in distress with Sirena, to get her to open her door-because not only did she have one small problem, but Lita now realized she had two. For whatever reason, Lita couldn’t go inside a human’s home without them being dead, or inviting the woman in. Was that some vampire lore she remembered hearing in books when she was a little girl? It sounded sort of familiar. The permission thing.
All the houses were ignored, because Sirena was younger than Adelita and if she could barely afford a house at the moment in time, Adelita was positive that Sirena couldn’t either. That left two apartment complexes to choose from, both side by side. The woman looked between each complex, attempting to decide not only which apartment complex it would be, but which apartment too. Since there were only two floors for each building, Adelita did a quick scan of each one, finding the one on her right to be more promising than the one to her left for two reasons.

Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Adelita >The one on the left had all the curtains drawn and not a single shred of light peering from any window, whereas the one on the right, had two apartments, one on the second floor and one on the first, with lights on. Well, there was really only one way to do this, and that was going to have to be through some serious acting of the scared and fearful kind. Not that Adelita knew how to sell either of those characteristics, but maybe with a little...wardrobe malfunctions and such, that would be enough to sell it.
Adelita shrugged out of her coat and let it fall to the pavement at the walkway that connected to a smaller pathway that took anyone approaching the complex’s to its claimed, individual private walkway. Her red tipped nails grabbed at the pantyhose Lita was wearing and pressed into the weave the pattern made, before she tugged at a couple different weaves to make large tears in the pantyhose. Both her heels were tossed to the ground, on top the coat, before the woman bent over at the waist to allow her hair to hang over the back of her head, where Adelita would run wild, sloppy fingers through her hair to give her hair a wild and crazy look. Then, for the final touch, Adelita sighed in dismay, grabbed the strap over her left shoulder and gave that a solid, strong tug, until it ripped and what little of what the woman possessed with the bust of her top, threatened to spill out from it at any quick moment (not that it would stop her from making any quick movements-Adelita was just very aware that it seemed like she was endowed with more than what she really had).
The Mexican woman turned to where she had seen Blake and blew him a kiss before proceeding to the front door of the complex. Unlocked. Someone was either expecting a late night visitor (how very naughty and fun), or someone forgot to lock it and would end up making a lot of neighbors unhappy in the morning. Not her problem, but it did make things easier for Adelita. With the entire complex’s hallways available to her, Adelita now put things into motion. She recalled the apartment with the third window in was lit up on the first floor and on the second it was the top left with the fourth window open.
Adelita moved to the first apartment she would interrupt, taking purposeful, heavy steps to it before the woman slammed closed fists against the crappy doors all apartments seemed to have in this city. “Sirena! SIRENA! OPEN UP!” Lita pounded again before going back the way she started and heading to the apartment on the left side on the second floor! “SIRENA! HELP!” Lita screamed at the top of her lungs, not caring who heard in the complex’s entirety. “You were right about Blake!” She moved down the flight or stairs again, and pounded on the same door again, as the lock came open from the door on the other side. ”Miss, are you alr-” “Yes, go back to sleep!”[/color] Adelita hissed at the older woman who came out, wearing a gown with big bows on it and her hair under a hair cap. “SIRENA!” Adelita started to move to the stairs to go up to the second floor, knowing that at some point the woman would reveal herself. She had to, right? Otherwise she was going into trouble-thanks to Adelita.
<Sirena> Sirena stared out of the peephole of her door for a few minutes before she convinced herself no one was following her. She would have seen someone by now, right? She walked away from the door, rubbing her arms as the small hairs on her arms stood on end. She needed to relax and calm herself down. She decided to take a short shower and then try to lay herself down to sleep. She got into the shower, sending most of her time standing under the running water instead of actually washing. She began to hear yelling from some place in the building. She groaned with annoyance. The worst part about these apartments was that the walls were like paper. You could hear a lot of things through the walls.
When Sirena turned off the water she began hearing the muffled voice a little more clearly. Were they calling her name? That’s not Lory’s voice… she knew exactly where she lived and would be banging on the door by now. She hurried to dry and dress herself, then she proceeded to rush to the front door of her apartment with dripping wet hair. She opened the door, hearing Adelita yelling from the next floor down. Without thinking she quickly rushed out of her apartment and rushed down the flight of stairs, seeing Adelita not too far from them. “Adelita?” she asked, shocked by her appearance. Had they been apart long enough for this much damage to be done to the woman?
She rushed down the last few stairs and hurried over to Adelita, taking her hand and pulling her back up the stairs swiftly. After all, her attacker could be close behind. “I’m so so sorry,” she says, feeling like an idiot for not responding to her calls for help sooner. “Who did this to you? Was it Blake?” As they approached her apartment she glanced back at the stairs and pushed her hurriedly towards the open door in the hall. “Come on inside- we can talk in there.” Once both women were in the apartment she closed the door and locked it, looking out the peephole to assure that no one had seen them go in the room. After all, that someone could have been Blake.
“I’m so sorry,” she began babbling. “I shouldn’t have left you alone with him. I should have gone with my gut.” She led her over to the couch, coaxing her to sit. “Do you want me to call someone? The police? A family member? Oh god, I’m so sorry…” she says, sitting beside her. “What happened? Did he hurt you?”

Re: Sinners Like Us (Closed)
< Adelita > At least, there were two things that made Adelita know she was in the right building and her attempt at gaining the right attention had been successful, for the right person. First, her name, then the tone and pitch of the voice; all very strong and good indicators that the person; Sirena had been found.
Lita just nodded her head, and allowed Sirena to to take her to her apartment and drag her inside. It was an invitation, even if it was an unspoken one. And then she got the spoken invitation and nothing could hold Lita back now. Adelita allowed her body to shiver for good measure-or more like shake and then she spoke...very broken. “I….need. Do you have...water?” Lita wrapped her arms around her tiny body and rubbed at her bare shoulders before being moved to the couch. “It’s not your fault!” Adelita said in a loud tone, but no where near as loud as she had been in the hallway. Then she dropped down to a whisper. “A very bad person did this to me.” That person went unnamed for now, as she circled back to the water topic. “Do you have...that water?” Lita asked shaking on the couch as her eyes darted back and forth. She wasn’t sure how a scared person was supposed to act or look, but so long as Sirena believed she was scared, shaken...or anything negative, it was fine. “No! Don’t call the police! Then we...they might know. About the...party. I don’t want to go to jail. Do you?” Lita squeaked out as her eyes started looking for something to kill Sirena with, because Lita couldn’t do this the easy way. Life as a defective vampire definitely had it’s disadvantages in these situations.
<Sirena> After being reminded of what had happened at the bar, and how they fled, she frowned and nodded her head in agreement. It would be stupid to call the cops now. For a moment she was convinced the vampire from the bar had come after her and attacked her. She frowned at Adelita, seeing her shake and look around nervously. “I still shouldn’t have left you alone…” she says before letting out a soft sigh and standing. “I’ll be right back,” she assures before walking out of view and into the small kitchen in her apartment.
She grabbed a tall glass from one of the wooden cabinets and proceeded to the water cooler, filling it up with some nice cool water. When she returned she set the glass down on the coffee table. “Don’t worry. I won't let anyone hurt you anymore. You can stay here tonight and, if you want, I’ll drive you home tomorrow morning,” she assures when she saw Adelitas eyes jumping about the room. She definitely looked frightened to her, and she felt horrible for leaving her alone to run home where she herself would be safe. She felt like she had a lot to make up for.
She glanced in the direction of her room. “I could drive you home now if you would rather be there… but if you want to stay you can sleep in my room. You can shower and also borrow some of my clothes if you would like,” she offers, a look of sadness lingering in her gaze.
< Adelita > Lita sat on the couch, quite pleased with her acting as she listened to the sound of a cup being filled with water from the kitchen. “It’s not your fault...I should have been more careful.” Lita stated, a smile on her face, that was until Sirena came back in the room. The idea of staying here with Sirena and showering here….It honestly sounded like the start of some horror movie gone into porn real quick, but Sirena was a good looking woman and so was she...if something happened, who could blame anyone?
“I should stay. What if he’s still out there?” Lita whispered with wide eyes as she took the offered cup from Sirena, and took a quick sip of water. “It’s safer in here.” Lita nodded very slowly, pressing her back into the couch that much more. “I-yes.” Lita nodded her head, not sure what to say about the spending the night bit-obviously not what was going on in her mind as she looked at the darker haired woman. “I think that is a good idea.” Another sip, this one longer than the last was taken from the cup before Adelita looked down at her outfit and then laughed. “I bet you think this sort of thing happens to me all the time. But-it doesn’t.” Lita reassured her-that being the only real truth she’s told so far since being in the apartment. “Where is the bathroom? I have to go…” Lita confessed, thinking maybe something in there might help her get the job done and get Sirena on her and Blake’s side of things. Lita could imagine it now...friends in death sort of stick together after death, right? Maybe?
<Sirena> Sirena waved for her to follow, giving Lita a light smile. “This way.” She walks into her room, leaving the door wide open, and she opens the bathroom door for her, then paused a moment and walked over to her dresser, patting the top to get Adelita’s attention before she disappeared in the bathroom. “If you decide to take a shower, all of my clothes are folded up in here. Except for shirts, of course. Shirts are in the closet-” she points to the closet. “- and there should already be a towel in there. If you need anything else, just call me.”
She left the room, thinking she might need to make some coffee. she didn’t want to sleep tonight when she knew someone might be looking for them. She walked back into the kitchen and rinsed out the pot before filling it and pouring the water into the back of the coffee maker. She poured in some fresh coffee grounds next and waited for the coffee to brew. She glanced over her shoulder a few times to look at her front door. She was still afraid someone was just waiting for them out there.
She turned her attention back to the coffee and reached up into the cabinet, grabbing two glasses, thinking that Adelita might want some as well, and if she didn’t want cofee than she would offer tea. She left her glasses on the counter and went back to the door of her apartment, looking out the peephole once more just to calm her nerves. Seeing no one, she walked around the couch and sat on it again, closing her eyes and rubbing her face. She felt exhausted.
< Adelita > “Thank you so much.” Adelita smiled at the woman, after seeing where the bathroom and the offer of clothes were at. Once Sirena seemed to be content on playing hostess, Adelita closed the bathroom door and started rummaging around for anything useful she could come across. One drawer held nothing useful other than tampons and crap like that; making Adelita smile as she didn’t miss that every month.
The next drawer held some cosmetic-y things…makeup primarily, but there was a nail file, tweezers, and a tiny scissors. Lita snatched those and stuck them between the hills of her breasts and let them pressed against the skin between her two tiny mounds, being secure only because of the metal in the cup area to keep her breasts perky. Apparently.
The medicine cabinet held medicine and there was no way Lita was going to go down that route with Sirena. Elighan’s had been a busy, but maybe…aspirin could be better, right? Lita opened the bottle and grabbed a handful and kept them clutched tightly in her right hand before closing the cabinet and the drawers and heading into the kitchen. “I think I’ll take a shower later. I’m too scared to be alone for too long, still.” Lita professed as she entered the living room to see Sirena on the couch. With a quick inhale in, Lita could smell the coffee brewing and she smiled at Sirena. “Is that coffee I smell?” Lita inched back towards the kitchen and saw the maker brewing the dark liquid. “Want me to pour us both a cup?” The Mexican woman asked as she leaned against the doorway of the living room and kitchen.
Lita just nodded her head, and allowed Sirena to to take her to her apartment and drag her inside. It was an invitation, even if it was an unspoken one. <Sirena> with little to no hesitation, Sirena quickly lifted her head to look at Adelita, jumping slightly as though she had been startled. She smiled weakly at her offer. “If you would, please. I'd probably drop a glass,” she admits, knowing her hands were still shaking. She was surprised she didn't drop on when she took the mugs out of the cabinet. “There's creamer in the fridge and sugar is in the small jar beside the coffee pot. I'll just take mine black for now. I don't plan on going to sleep anytime soon.”
She assumed that since Adelita told her she would be taking her up on her offer to shower she might want to stay the night as well. She glanced back at her room, knowing the mess of random items thrown about the room might seem less than impressive to her guest. Perhaps she should clean up a little…? “Sorry about the mess,” Sirena begins, speaking to Adelita after she had disappeared into the kitchen. “I just moved in and I've been a little lazy about unpacking. I'm going to clean my room up a bit so you don't have to worry about dodging boxes or stepping on anything,” she says, laughing a be nervously.
She knew a messy home should be the least of her worries, but she needed something to distract herself with. Maybe clean and organizing a few things would keep her mind off of the events of that night. She began cleaning and organizing, actually managing to unpack some more boxes that she had been too lazy about unpacking earlier. Oddly enough, she completely trusted Adelita and didn't think for a moment that she would try to hurt her. She was glad she had someone with her and she wasn't cowering in her apartment alone.
< Adelita > Lita was off the couch as soon as Sirena said she could handle the coffee situation, listening to the woman on how she would take her coffee tonight and the reason for no flavor. Lita would be putting a lot of creamer in hers, because she hated the taste of the coffee beans. There would probably be more creamer than coffee in Lita’s cup just so she could swallow some of it down.
After Lita poured coffee into two mugs, Adelita looked at the asprin in her hand and counted them quickly. Seven. She had seven and coffee was hot...anything melted when it was hot enough, right? She hoped so. Lita tossed all seven in the mug, grabbed a spoon and began stirring the coffee, and started up some conversation while making both cups...very different cups in the kitchen. “Don’t worry about me. Once I’m asleep, I’m out like a...light. Or something.” Adelita shrugged, pulled up the spoon from Sirena’s mug to see how the aspirin was doing and smiled widely as she saw tiny half circle discs melting.
“I love sleep.” That wasn’t true, Lita loved a lot of other things more than sleep, but she slept all day without any idea of what was going on around her and that was an oddly scary, yet comforting feeling. That whatever happened while she slept, would be dealt with later, or she wouldn’t hear about for hours after it happened. “Just black, right?” Lita asked, her head in the direction of the kitchen entryway, before both spoons were chucked into the sink and Lita was holding Sirena’s mug in her right hand, the left holding her own...eighty or so percent creamer and the other coffee. “Thank you so much for the coffee.” Lita said as she sat down on the couch, taking a small sip of her coffee before handing the mug off to Sirena.
<Sirena> hearing Adelitas voice draw slightly closer as she left the kitchen, Sirena quickly left the room to take the mug off coffee. “No problem,” she says happily. “Thanks for pouting me a cup.” She sat back down on the couch and took a few drinks from her cup. She glanced over at Adelitas glass and began laughing a bit softly. “Are you sure you wouldn't like some coffee with your creamer?” She teased, hoping it would lighten the mood.
She held the glass in her hands for a few minutes, just wanting the warmth of it. She began slouching slightly in her seat, feeling sick to her stomach for a moment. Thinking that it could have been from the drinks she had earlier that night she simply shrugged it off and took another drink of her coffee, hoping it would fade away soon. She looked back at Adelita for only a moment before she felt something coming up her throat. She threw her hand over her mouth quickly and ran to the bathroom, throwing up just as she reached the toilet. She was confused and she didn't know what was making her feel this sick. She sat there for a few more seconds before standing and stumbling to the sink to rinse out her mouth, gagging at the taste that had been left in the back of her throat after she had thrown up.
She thought she had started to weave out of her sickness, but everything started to get blurry. She looked back, hoping to get some help from Adelita. “C-call help. I-I think-” she cut herself off, realizing that if she was poisoned earlier in the night then she would been feeling the effects just then, and there was only one person who could have done that to her. She attempted to close the door, stumbling and almost falling on her face.
< Adelita > Adelita laughed at the question about her coffee and then shook her head. “I have never liked the taste of coffee beans, but I realize it’s importance of caffeine in my life and everyone else’s.” Adelita admitted taking a small sip from the mug, making a tiny face. More creamer would be needed later-depending on how the aspirin took to do its job.
Honestly, the Mexican woman had no idea how this was going to turn out, either nothing would happen, or-and something happened and Lita watched the woman as she stuttered over her words. “Sirena?” Adelita asked, concern growing inside of the woman now. How long did she have to wait? How long should she wait? Adelita decided sooner than later was better because later she might be dead before Lita realized it and then Sirena would be unrevivable.
“I’m sorry, Sirena. But..this is the only way. To keep everyone, including yourself safe.” Lita said as she leaned towards the table and set her mug of creamer and a splash of coffee on the table. “But-don’t worry! You aren’t going to stay dead. We’re going to be very close for a very long time.” Adelita turned towards the woman again and gave her a small smile after nodding her head. “You see...I’m going to make you a vampire. Surprise!” Adelita stood and moved to where the other woman was so she could pat Sirena’s hand as a gesture of support and friendship.
“I’ve only actually done this a time or two before…”Adelita admitted as she pulled her cellphone out from the top of her sexy lingerie and pulled up Blake’s number. Come on up. Second floor, far right. Next, Lita pulled out the tiny scissors used for cutting nails or something from her top and started jabbing her right arm with it, in an attempt to get some of her blood out of that arm. But, it wasn’t as effective as Adelita thought it might be. “Do you have a knife somewhere? Sirena. I need a knife or you’re going to die.” Her voice sounded slightly strained as Lita got up and headed to the kitchen in search of a knife that would do the job the scissors wasn’t going to do. “Sirena. Where are your knives?” Lita frantically asked as she started pulling drawers open and searching, but not succeeding with finding what she needed.
