< Adelita > “What’ll it be?” A cashmere silken voiced asked Adelita while she skimmed the double sided menu encased in a glossy plastic. “Surprise me.” Lita retorted before placing the menu on the wood surface of the bar at The Lounge. Once the menu was on the bar, Lita slid it across to the edge where the bartender could pick it up later. She knew what she would go to next, drink wise, if the surprise choice didn’t taste as good as she hoped.
”Pisco Sour.” The guy said, returning with a white liquor in a sort of margarita shaped glass. “Gracias. It looks...interesting.” Lita said as she looked at the white foamy stuff at the top of it. She had never seen the drink, let alone heard of it, but what did it matter? She gave him the pick, and this is what he picked. Lita took a sip as she turned her back to the bar and looked at the quite, subdued scene around her. There were people in booths, a couple at the bar, but it wasn’t the sort of place she was normally at. Lita didn’t want to be at home, but she wasn’t in full club hopping mode either. This is where that thought had lead her to.
Lita glanced down at the black dress she was wearing and gave it a small tug downwards. Tonight, she wasn’t looking for anything specifically-or anyone. Tonight, she just wanted some time to herself to think about the current ghost in her life. What it meant, and what she was going to do about it since it seemed the last two attempt to draw anything out of the male had failed miserably.

<G O D R I C>
His flight back into Harper Rock had been rocky, turbulence the whole time. He hated turbulence, he hadn’t heard from Remington in a long time - dropped off the map and Lita? The last time he saw her she was in the sewers with a tall man, with her tongue down his throat. It had annoyed him, watching them from the shadows being - close. It hurt despite the fact that they were both single, very much single are were lovers in the bedroom and that was all, what he would never admit was that he was in love with her, he had fallen in love with her curves, and her naked form he saw almost every night on her father's estate.
Harper Rock was as dull as it had been since he had left, nothing new - besides the fact that he had seen her in the sewers here she had cursed at him in her heavenly tongue, and she had used her powers on him like she had used to, it was like normality was slipping in, except he didn't look at her, didn't fight back or talk to her - for the sake that if he spoke, well. He may fall under her spell all over again. He had slept with the whole population of Mexico to get her out of his mind.
A few nights later she did the same in the caverns, he never spoke - never looked at her for his own safety letting her rage at him for vanishing, like she should have. Then a few nights after that he was walking his way through the streets, he was heading for Redwood. He wasn't sure why he was just heading that way, maybe he could find himself a sewer grate that would lead him down into the depths where he could kill a few Paladins, and perhaps hide from the woman who tormented him so.
< Adelita > Lita was trying to enjoy the strange mixture the bartender made, still deep in thought. It seemed no powers worked at stirring the male into a response. Nor any form of weakness, like the first night she saw him in the sewers and cried on his shoulder. Nor any attempt to goad him into a response by harsh, witty demands...so what to do? What to do?
Chocolate orbs circled around the bar as Lita sat there and observed the patrons within it once again. With a crinkle of her nose, the rest of the drink was placed on the bar and the woman sighed. Usually, she was far more clever than this. By now a possible solution would have came to her mind. With the return of the bar to her back, Lita’s eyes fell on the front windows where she saw---could it be?
“Hablar del demonio,” She muttered before Lita was fishing in her purse for a fifty, slammed it on the bar counter and bolted for the door. And when she got there, Lita stopped. What was she doing? Or what should she do? The Mexican woman didn’t know, but the tiny woman yanked the door open and shot out of it and stood on the sidewalk. “Godric!” She shouted at his back, arms crossed at her chest as she stood there, waiting for any shred of reaction from the male.
<G O D R I C>
Dark hues were looking towards the sky as his hands were firmly placed within the pockets of his leather, cartel jacket. His shaggy black hair was wild and free atop his head, he passed a window - he didn't spare a glance at the patrons inside. He was a man on a mission to hide away from the world.
He could smell her, before he saw her. She was smelt exactly the same way she always smelt. He remembered his hands running across her bare back. The way she smelt after a shower - her natural aroma of berries he had missed her, he was sure he had, he stopped at the sound of his name, he could hear her annoyed Spanish tongue and found himself chuckling under his breath, he couldn't help it really. He knew she heard it she had excellent hearing, even as a vampire.
“Adelita” He said, his back still to her as he very slowly turned to face his demons, her beautiful face for one, he soaked in her features now after all this time and found himself blinking a few times, how was he going to explain this? Why he had left. “Nice to see you without your tongue down someone's neck.” He said, banter. This was banter.
< Adelita > The sound of her formal, proper name from his tongue lashed deeply at the woman almost like a slap across the cheek would have. And then he went into full Godric mode. Not even a proper hello, or how are you. Just right for the kill. Back in the day, such a thing would have gotten a rise from her, but suddenly Adelita didn’t have any fight in her.
This was usually their routine, back and forth slew of insults and the like, but Lita couldn’t find the words to spat out at him. Instead, Adelita inched towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Godric.” She said softly, after exhaling a deep, heavy breath of air. “Please don’t be cruel. Not tonight.” She said into his coat as her cheek pressed to it, still holding on to him.
<G O D R I C>
The man was hiding a wall of emotions from the woman, one of the bigger emotions being love. Love was such a hard thing to hide from someone - someone you have known for a long time. Godric looked to this woman as he tried to fit back into the role that she had known him as, but she didn’t bite - instead she herself was within a cave of emotions and his face softened to reveal his own emotions that swelled within his stomach.
Love.
Her arms were coiling around his neck like a snake would its prey but her touch was soft, very soft. It was as if she needed him. Godric doing the only thing that could come to his own mind in that time wrapped his own arms around his and pulled her as close as he possibly could so her face was meshed amongst his shirt, his jacket perhaps rubbing against the flesh of her shoulders.
It felt nice in that moment, to have her back in his arms. Everything he had been fighting to avoid since his return had been one big failure. Damn Adelita, damn this woman to hell.
“For you, anything.” He muttered into the crown of her head.
< Adelita > He wasn’t saying anything, as Lita found security in his frame and Lita once again felt defeat. She wanted to grab his coat and shake him until there was some semblance of something from him. Anger. Contempt. Resentment. Anything to indicate that he saw her, knew her and felt something.
And then it came.
His arms wrapped around her and crushed her petite frame into him and Lita clung that much more to his body. Then, he said the unexpected. Adelita expected something else, something slightly cruel even, but instead he retracted his stance and it softened to something else. “Mucho gracias.” She said against his coat, before pulling away so she could look up at him.
“Where have you been? I have looked for months for you. I was worried-Remington maybe…” Adelita didn’t finish the thought, because it wouldn’t take long for Godric to put two and two together. “Did you die?” She never openly accused Remington of killing Godric, but it was implied, none the less.
<G O D R I C>
“Mexico” He told her as she withdrew, now to be looking up at him as he looked down at her with a warm smile on his lips - it wasn’t the brightest of smiles that he usually had written upon his lips, but it was kind enough to bring comfort to ‘Lita should she find need of it. He shrugged his shoulders, arms still firmly wrapped around her as he thought for a moment.
“He couldn’t kill me-” Saying her implied thoughts from her previous statement. “-Even if he tried, you should know that.” In fact it pains him a little to think she thought their sire would have killed him. She wasn’t to know, essentially. He didn’t hold it against her. He was reluctant to give the reason of his departure though, the real reason why he left Harper Rock.
Love had made him leave, love had brought him back.
Soppy Mexican ******** he was, when he wanted to be.
“I had to leave, because I saw something that broke through my armour.” There was a silence. He thought for a moment, choosing his next words carefully - how to word such a thing. “I couldn’t say goodbye to the one I cherished most - despite the arguments, because she was wrapped in someone else's arms.”
He let her go then, releasing her from his bind.

Re: Ghostly Encounters
< Adelita > Lita didn’t believe Godric, even if she should have. She didn’t know Remington, not like he did, but their departure made her think the worst. That someone had killed him and that someone was Remington, because neither of them said anything to her. They just vanished like ghosts in the early hours of the night.
Her mouth hung slightly agape when he said he had to leave. That was fine, she thought about leaving herself, but she would have told him if she left. She even told Elighan she might leave for Mexico and Velveteen at one point. Her lips melded together as he kept talking and she slowly nodded her head. “Oh.” She said, not sure how she suddenly felt with what he had shared with her. “You should have said something to someone, if not her.” Lita said, trying not to let her tone grow harsh. She knew very well Godric was quite the ladies man, so it really did not surprise Lita that he had found someone in that regard.
She stood there in front of him, out of his reach and looked away. “I really thought you had died. You just vanished into thin air. Like a...ghost.” She said before looking back at him.
<G O D R I C>
He watched her features carefully, gauging the woman for any kind of reaction. He rubs at the stubble on his chin as he thinks, he had subtly implied his feelings about Adelita and she hadn’t picked up on them? Godric was proud of himself in that moment - but kept his face somber for this. For her.
“There was no point in saying anything to her, not when she was wrapped up inside his arms - he looked like a jackass anyways.” He rubbed at his stubble again, contemplating. “I wonder if she’s still with him now.” Godric still had a ladies man reputation back in mexico, the amount of women he had bedded was a very high number - they fawned over him considering he was starting to grow the Cartel again, but with his image of success.
“I hadn’t died.” He said gently to her, watching her as she looked away from him and then back to him. “I’m here now - not going anywhere.” Unless she killed him - he guessed she was much bigger than he was, had more training than him considering he had a desk job for the past six months. “Hows things with you?” Throwing the spotlight onto her instead.
< Adelita > Lita took a small step backwards as he continued on about the woman he loved. Suddenly, Adelita felt as if she made a mistake; approaching him like this. Then decided no. She had done the right thing. She had to know if it was in fact him and what had happened to him. And now she knew. He left over some puta. Whoever this woman was, must have been a lot of things. Pretty-very pretty. Rich-very rich. Muy especial. And a lot of other things to keep him so wrapped up in her. To have been able to hurt him in the way he mentioned.
“Good.” Was all Lita could manage to say about the point that he hadn’t have died. As often as she had threatened him, Lita never actually wanted him dead. “Canada sucks.” She said with a wry laugh, indicating she was on the fence about staying here, unlike him.
“And things are fine.” Adelita said, the tone deceiving her outright lie. Fine was expressed with a sharp harshness that could be compared to nails on a chalkboard. It pierced one's ear and left an odd feeling. “Sort of.” She admitted with a gentle roll of her shoulders. “Let’s walk.” She suggested, realizing they were standing in the same spot, making people move around them as they stood there on the sidewalk outside the club. Lita didn’t wait for him to agree, she was still thinking about what Godric had said while they stood there. “You could have taken me with. If you went back to Mexico. I miss it there. I think about going back when i have more cash.” She admitted with a small smile. “Enough to live comfortably for a while.” She looked over to him, her arms wrapping around her tiny body as if she were cold. “And things are the same, more or less.” She said quietly thinking of all the good things she could say about her life. “I opened a cafe. A Mexican one. Too bad you can’t eat anymore. My flan is to die for.” She said with a tiny laugh before stopping to look at where they were walking to. “I sired a couple people-but most of them vanished into thin air too. Except one. But we don’t see each other that much.” Both their faults really, but more so his. Elighan had more or less lied to her twice now, even a small lie was still a lie in her eyes and her life had been a big slew of lies. “I’m trying to find my place here, but it’s so hard after making a year's worth of mistakes.”
<G O D R I C>
He watched her, she was looking at him there was a silence - a silence where he wanted to wriggle his way inside her mind and figure out what she was thinking. Onyx hues looked to his right as he watched a car pass them by, as the tire hit a puddle that was slowly growing small as the night got on, it had been raining earlier -- as it seemed to be doing most of the time mostly in Canada, the weather here was much more abysmal and colder, than the warm air in Mexico.the sun shining all the time, shame he couldn't touch it anymore, he didn't have that ability which allowed him to walk in the sun.
“It does.” He laughed with her in that moment, “It's too cold here, I miss the humid air of Mexico.” It was true, he did considering he had only been here a week -- he was unsure if he was going to stay yet, he needed a reason to stay - to keep his foot in the door, he wouldn't tell her though. That would be too much weight for her to bear.
“Would you have wanted to come with me, if I had asked?” It was an honest question. Despite their past he was unsure if she would have come with him, asking her to give up everything she had going here - he still blamed himself for her death. She was a vampire, because of him. “Flan?” He laughed, he did enjoy Flan when he was human. “How's your Tapas?” Giving her a little sly smirk. He laughed then.
But all jokes aside, he was proud of her despite everything that had gone wrong for her she still kept on going. “I'm proud of you, my little Cartel Princess.”
< Adelita > “Si. There is a lot I miss about Mexico.” Lita said quietly, recalling a lot of carefree nights spent with him. Those had been some of the highlights of her life. As much as the pair dished out some truly heinous and spiteful words, their nights always ended the same. It was like a boomerang effect.
“In a heartbeat.” Lita didn't hesitate on his question. “It will always be home.” The Mexican woman followed up with her reply before twisting her lips into an amused smile. “Si. My flan is the best. I know how to cook some things.” She admitted giving him a shove. “Surprisingly. My tapas though...It's a good thing I have a chef.”
Lita murmured gently. “And I'm far from a cartel princess these night. These nights I'm more like the diner diva down the road. Re-fried beans in my hair and flour dusting most my clothing.” She shook her head before shoulders lifted gently. “I'm glad you didn't die.” She looked at him from the side, then edged to her left to move them around a woman who was waiting for something. Probably a cab. “What will you do here? Now that you’re back?”
Her mouth hung slightly agape when he said he had to leave. That was fine, she thought about leaving herself, but she would have told him if she left. <G O D R I C>
He raised an eyebrow, watching her carefully with a stare that equalled her own. Before he laughed a little, he simply watched the woman talk of how she missed Mexico. He missed it too, considering he hadn’t been away from it for long. Strange really, how a man can love his roots so much. He also missed their nights of naked tumbles - to Godric, they really made his nights. Considering he was barely around in the daytime for her because of his newfound vampirism.
“Yes, home is where the heart is.” As they say, he thought more of less that last part to himself. It was strange really that despite the fact that he had no human family left - the cartel had killed his family, he felt strangely at home there. His feelings had been buried for the murderers with Adelitas father's death. Funny that? “If I had the ability to consume food, I would happily try your tapas, it was always a favorite of mine.”
“You're still my princess.” He gave her a cheeky smile - it was that suave smile he used to give her when he was watching her dress after a tumble, or several. “What will I do here? I’m not sure. Nyx is gone. I don't know if I have anyone here now - besides yourself, I guess. Maybe I could do something here. Assassinate people, I was good at that.” He laughed then.
< Adelita > “Mmmm.” Adelita nodded her head at Godric’s first train of thought. “Something like that.” Adelita laughed a little, after he laughed. There would never be a home for her in Mexico-not since her father’s property had been seized by the government, but it wasn’t the home that she missed.
“They were never that good.” She accused him of lying in her tone before laughing a little heartier this time. “But gracias.” She sighed softly before looking in his direction once again. Lita saw the smile and found it oh, so easy to think about how many times she had seen a smile like that. And the woman found it even a little too easy to desire seeing more of that smile in those very ways. At the mention of Nyx, Adelita’s thoughts shifted back to the first few things he had said. About some puta. Adelita had to admit that she thought it to be Nyx Godric had been talking about, since they seemed so...close after she had been sired, but with her gone, it obviously was not the case. “You guess?” Adelita asked, coming to a stop, and moving in front of him, hands crossed at her chest once again for the second time tonight. “You have me. We need each other.” Adelita professed, before letting her hands drop to her sides. “Remington is gone-we have no one else anymore. I mean, I know a couple people, but, I don’t think they care if I get dusted tomorrow and never return.” She wasn’t bitter about it, Adelita hadn’t spent a lot of time getting to know many people on a personal level for a variety of reasons. “Maybe it is time to think about doing something different. Something you like doing, not just because there is something you are good at doing. There is a difference.” She looked away after tucking some hair behind her ear, her eyes focused on what was in front of them and not on him.
<G O D R I C>
He canted his head to the side, his black shaggy hair flopping over the one side of his face there was a loose curl, his hair had grown much longer since the last time they had seen each other and his clean shaven face had a little bit of stubble now, it made it look much more manlier now, and that was key to landing dates. So he had been told. They stopped then, well he was forced to stop as Adelita stood in front of him, hands on her hips and her face puffed up like a puffer fish. He raised an eyebrow. Watching her curiously.
The only thought that crossed his was mind was ‘uh oh, I pissed her off somehow.’ Godric had a short memory span and often forget what he said to women that would piss them off. “We do need each other.” He said softly, trying to hide his face well, hiding the emotions mostly.
“**** them.” There was so much power, and anger to his tone. “If they don’t care then **** them, I care. You are not allowed to get dusted or I swear to god, I will hunt your *** down.” His face was utterly serious. “I need… you.” The words slipped out, and he had no time to defend them instead he kept his mouth going like a steamroller he will just pretend he never said it, yes that’ll work.
“Maybe princess, we’ll see. I’ll find something I enjoy doing, that isn’t in my bed and naked.” He waggled his eyebrows then.
< Adelita > Adelita heard what he said, but didn’t put too much into his words. At most, he was trying to make her feel better about her own insecurities, because Godric had never really needed Adelita. He could garner the attention of fifty women in a room in no time, even her being one of those fifty. “Well, then we are stuck together. Because I need a legitimate friend and it seems you do too. And since we already know a lot of things about each other, it only makes sense.” Adelita wrapped an arm through his and sought refuge within his hold.
Adelita smacked him across the chest at his last retort, then rolled her eyes. “Mmm, would be a pity for you to make the wrong woman angry. Might be best to stay clear of beds for a while.” Was that her talking as a friend, or was she talking as someone who despised the idea of Godric between the sheets with someone else? Maybe a little of both.
<G O D R I C>
His previous statement had been no lie. He really did need her despite his dire need to avoid her like the plague so his wound didn’t re open and get infected by her, but all that had gone to plot when she had found him - had spoken to him and had once again reopened that wound, and had ultimately made him fall in love with his mexican princess all over again. For gods sake.
“Yeah stuck together like glue it seems. You got a place I can crash at?” He rubbed the back of his head with his rather large palm. “I’ve been renting out a hotel room.” He laughed a little, he wasn’t one to ask for help. Besides, they had lived with each other before and like she said - they needed each other, it could be good for them, healthy even.
He felt the slap on the chest, and made an ‘ooof’ kind of sound with it. “Does that mean I need to stay away from your bed too?” There was a grin there. A playful grin. “You loved it when I was in your bed.”
< Adelita > The Mexican woman’s cheek flushed with a tinge of pink at what Godric had asked, but was attempted at being hidden when she stuck her tongue out at him. “And what would the woman that you’re so head over heals about say if she knew you were in my bed?” Adelita tsk’d and then shook her head, as her tongue disappeared.
“Maybe. If you can tolerate my thrall that practically lives with me and a roommate. I think her move in is temporary, though. I’m sure she’ll want her own space soon. You’re welcome to her room if you can hold out a couple more weeks in a hotel room. I think it’s about time she lived with her sire anyways. They need to know eachother more than they do.” Adelita didn’t mind Sirena living with her, but Lita saw her more than Blake did and that could be a big problem later down the road for the three of them. “I’ll ask her and see?” Adelita offered as they passed by a McDonald’s tucked away between a bookstore and a cafe. “We have to go in there.” Adelita didn’t give Godric much of a choice as the two were connected by an arm loop. She was making her way inside the fast food chain and at the counter ordering her secret indulgence, their fries.
“You could always become a stripper. You have the body for it and you were always a favorite with the woman in Mexico.” Adelita suggested with a small raise of her shoulders before paying for her fries. “Strippers generally don’t have sex, unless it’s one of those less than reputable places.” Not that Lita would know. Well, maybe.
<G O D R I C>
”I dont know, why don’t you ask her?” He said with a rather rueful smile before turning his head away from to the windows they passed, some were fast food chains and others clothing shops. They simply walked together arms looped in the others. “Besides, from what I remember you looked good naked.” He threw the woman a wink. Godric had to stop flirting, it was bad. He needed to throw an insult at her - this night was going way too smoothly. Usually by now they have their necks down someone else's throat trying to make the other jealous, or were they now over that?
Who ******* knew.
<G O D R I C>
<G O D R I C>
<G O D R I C>

Re: Ghostly Encounters
<G O D R I C> They dived to the right and Lita seemed guide him into a fast food joint, and was ordering fries. He looked at the way they cooked it and turned his hues onto her and shook his head. “Erm’ you know this is greasy as **** right? Bad for you. It’ll go straight to your hips.” He shook his head, slightly ashamed of his cartel princess as she got her fries and paid for them - before talking about the thrall and roommate and shrugged his shoulders.
“No shirt off my back, would have been cool to bunk with you again.” He was grinning from ear to ear. Obviously sex was on his brain. It had been a while since he got laid, seven days was a long time for a man, and sometimes his hand just couldn’t hit that spot.[/i]
< Adelita > Lita hadn’t addressed some of the things he said because she needed time. The Mexican woman was still processing what he had said. The entirety of it. As they waited for the order, Lita turned around and rolled her eyes. “Still look good naked.” Lita scoffed before grabbing the order that was placed on the counter and called. Lita snatched the bag up and stared him right in the eyes. “Yes, I know it’s greasy, and I also know it won’t matter. I could eat ten bags of fries and I’d still look good naked tomorrow.” Her tongue poked back out of her lips before she moved towards the door.
“And let’s be honest? What you meant to say is it would have been cool to have me wrapped around your waist. I know exactly what bunk means when it comes to you.” Adelita said, slightly amused and sounding accusatory, after spinning around and walking backwards to the door. “But, I don’t do rebounds. Get the puta out of your head before we ever think about crossing that bridge again.” Adelita pushed the glass door with her shoulder and blew Godric a kiss before heading out of the food joint. She wasn’t leaving him right then and there, she would wait for him to collect himself from her quick wit, before rejoining her outside.
<G O D R I C>
Oh he was very sure she looked good naked, and simply nodded his head at the woman and gave her one of his trademark sexy looking mexican smiles. He lifted the palm of his hand to his and ran his bony fingers through his hair, combing it as he turned his eyes to the fries she had as she made a comment about still looking good naked tomorrow, and all he could do was nod his head like a little puppy dog. Damn him to ******* hell.
“It’s always cool when I have you wrapped around my waist, love.” He gave a cheeky smile at that and then turned his eyes back to the counter where a greasy beef burger was being served up with a side of fries and he inwardly shivered. He didn’t miss fast food - he was taught it was bad for him, he was never allowed it - even when in the cartel he was on a strict diet to keep himself in tip top shape.
Lita made a final comment and left him standing there, how could he get that puta out of his head when she, herself was the puta. He planted the palm of his hand against his forehead in a facepalm moment before following her out onto the streets. Letting the door close behind him, and he joined his princess on the sidewalk.
< Adelita > Adelita had just popped a fry in her mouth when Godric appeared from out of the fast food restaurant. Lita wrapped her right arm through his left and started to walk again. “Yes, well I don’t do love triangles, anymore. They always end up being disastrous.” Lita shrugged her shoulder, her stance obviously firm in this. It was fine to screw someone’s brains out, but the second another woman was involved...someone always got upset and it was rarely ever her. Usually, it was some stupid puta who wanted to assert her dominance over ‘her’ man.
“Anyways,” Adelita dug in the bag for another fry, pulled one out and then started chewing on that one. “Mucho gracias.” Adelita looked at him from the side, before heightening her thanks. “For being a bearable dick tonight.” She laughed and then gave Godric a small push after unlinking their arms from one another. “Do you want to come over?” Adelita looked north to where her apartment complex was at. “Check out the apartamento, before deciding if you can shack up with me again sometime in the future?” The offer was placed, indicating nothing else than what Adelita suggested.
<G O D R I C>
Love triangles.
The words tasted like iron on his tongue, he hated those ******** things as he shook his head. Despite his feelings he felt there was a brick wall between them. She had clearly changed since his departure and he didn’t blame her for it. He had no hope of rekindling that old flame they once had especially since she thought he was head over heels for some puta, but really it was her - but he wasn’t going to tell her. Not unless she confessed first and he didn’t see that happening so he would have to get over her, one woman at a time.
He waved her thanks, and nodded his head. She offered him a look at her apartment and he was going to respectfully decline. Why rub more salt into the wound, by having him be tempted by a woman he was in love with - and a bedroom, things could happen. As much he wanted it to happen he was going to be the bigger man in all of this.
“Nah, you're alright princess. I’ll let you go be with your thrall and roommate, perhaps we can get together some other night? Do something fun.” He shrugged his shoulders, it went against his very nature to be the perfect gentleman in this situation. He sighed.
“Besides I have to go find something I’m really good at it, so I can stay here.” He threw a wink her way as they unlinked arms so they were now standing side by side, as he looked down at her. His hand came up to caress her cheek as he planted a kiss to her temple.
“See you soon princess. If you don’t find me, I’ll find you.” With that, he gave her a wink and began to cross the street away from Lita, leaving her to her night and him to his pain about how much she had changed.
< Adelita > Adelita stood there and watched Godric cross the street. The fry she had been chewing on had all but been forgotten about as she soaked in his rejection. Weren’t they having fun? Didn’t they have things to catch up on? Like what he had been doing in Mexico? Specific things? And if not specific things, then stupid things? It was who they were. Talking about people. Petty? Maybe, but Adelita had missed petty, trivial conversations.
“Bastardo.” Adelita spat out, after she swallowed the fry down and frowned. It stung, the sense of rejection, and she didn’t like it. Adelita wasn’t used to being rejected in any capacity, so this was a new feeling for her. She hated it. Wanted to take the feeling, crumple it up and toss it in the trash can her eyes came to rest on. Add in with the insult that she wasn’t a good enough reason alone to stay here, and the woman was no longer hungry for the fries she just bought. The bag was deposited in a large, open mouthed garbage bin on the street after Adelita turned and started heading back to the apartment complex.
“No shirt off my back, would have been cool to bunk with you again.” He was grinning from ear to ear. Obviously sex was on his brain. It had been a while since he got laid, seven days was a long time for a man, and sometimes his hand just couldn’t hit that spot.[/i]
