Fable was walking with him - edging him to the pirate ship, his money was safely kept in his pocket. He wanted to enjoy this feeling - the feeling of being thrilled because that was what excited him more. He was far too excited to do anything else. Eyes batted to the man beside him as he casually waggled his eyebrows in a mischievous manner. That was when the light brush came across the pale flesh of his cheek a light kiss.
A kiss that made Fable turn his eyes back to the white haired Telepath. He raised an eyebrow at the words whispered into his ear. Such a promise. He was held at his words now. He didn’t mind that.
They approached a booth where a man inside the booth gazed at them in such a peculiar manner that it made Fable uncomfortable, even so that he grabbed at the red scarf around his neck and loosened it - because it felt like a snake wrapping itself around his throat and tightening it.
The way man looked at them it was as if they were a freak show, and he knew how they always ended up. Myk looked at him in the same way he did. He didn’t know what he was doing but when he turned his ocean blue stare back to the ticket master he was staring at Myk his features softening as if he was in some kind of trance.
Could vampires do that? He had never known that they could hypnotize.
He didn’t argue. The man inside the booth then started talking about a deal for two tickets. Myk handed over money before Fable could get his own hand inside pocket and pull out his own wallet to pay. Damn the Telepath.
Myk took both tickets and offered one to Fable who took it slowly. He spoke again of owing the man dinner and Fable found himself laughing. He owed him nothing - he had already shown him to a good night out, a murder mystery that made him feel like Sherlock Holmes. It was a fun night, when he thought it would be a dull one.
“You owe me nothing, Myk.” He purred. “You’ve already done enough, things you didn’t have to do - now I’m waiting in a queue to ride a pirate ship.” He laughed “Seems unreal, to me.”
