Kaylee was unaware of the vampire's actions, unaware of what was truly at her lips. Her mind still saw a rainforest. Her spirit was led through the trees by a powerful panther, until they reached a tree from which water flowed like the great falls. Its leaves, big, pointed, dripped down. Gently, the panther pushed her under one of the leaves - her spirit was awash with warmth - and she turned her head up, and drank what seemed to be rainwater.
In the real world, not a conjured illusion of mind, the woman's blood passed into Kaylee's mouth in much the same fashion. She didn't swallow for a while, just letting the liquid flood her mouth, fill her body. And then her body began to mimic her actions in the illusory world. Swallowing, head tilting slightly up, as her eyes began to clear.
Kaylee saw the nearness of the woman, and what was truly pressed to her mouth. She was too weak to react, initially, to push away from the woman, especially as she realized she was against a wall. It was a few moments only before she mustered the strength to yank away, the cat, which was still nuzzling to her hand, turning to bolt as she lurched toward where it had been. Her stomach heaved, face screwing up, and she tried to stand. But even using the wall, she fell, landing on bare palms.
"What are you?" she asked, looking back over her right shoulder. Green eyes accusatory.

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Mora watched her - her own blood filling the woman’s mouth. Drowing her lungs with the blood of the dead, she simply waited. Pulling her wrist away and rubbed it slowly to stop the blood flow. It’ll heal shortly. Vampires had the ability of healing their wounds very quickly. Something she was grateful for.
Eyes looked at the human as she tried to get up, only to fall again. Mora moved to her again, holding her shoulder. Helping her up. She ignored her question for the time being, she would get back to her when she felt the need to. She used her mystic abilities and teleported the woman to the Oldtown Graveyard at the outskirts of Cherrydale. As she herself moments later teleported herself there. She needed to get this woman inside the Crypt where it was safe.
She grabbed the woman, scooping her up in her arms and carried to the Crypt that belonged to her husband, she ignored the camera’s at the door and made her way to the bedroom and dropped her on the sheets there.
“Vampire.” She simply said. She would have thought she could have guessed it considering she bit her and drank blood. Anyone could have made that assumption really, perhaps this woman hadn’t read about myths.
“So are you.” She informed the woman. “What’s your name?” She asked.

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Teleportation. Her first experience was one of revulsion.
Kaylee threw up as soon as she arrived in the graveyard, her most recent meal (apple pie, cheeseburger, fries) splattering over the grass. She had the forethought to hold her camera close to her body as she emptied the contents of her stomach, protecting the precious equipment of her trade from the slurry that came up.
Then she was being carried, down, down, down, into a crypt. Momentary fear thrilled through her again, until she was thrown down on a bed - a bed! In a crypt! - and explained the truth she must have already known, in one word.
"Vampire." The other woman said it so simply, so nonchalant. She couldn't help but sigh as she thought over the simple words.
"Kaylee Conrad," the small blonde said. "Age nineteen. Photographer and graphic design student." Green eyes studied the other woman, from head to toe, trying to figure it out. "So I guess I'm dead now, huh?" Sarcasm dripped from her tone, as her right hand came up, seeking a pulse in her throat.
Nothing.
"Wait...what?"
She pressed her hand to her own chest, feeling for her heartbeat. There wasn't one to be found. Clinically dead.
"Impossible!"

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Kaylee.
Such a pretty name. She was no longer Kaylee Conrad, no by Mora turning her into a vampire she was no longer Conrad, by being of her blood now she was now Daradasi by blood, Daradasi-Reid by family. The smile creeped up on the telepaths features as if sharing some kind of secret joke with herself.
“I’m Mora. Mora Daradasi-Reid” The introduction was short and sweet as she smiled at the woman, extending her hand for some kind of handshake to happen, which she was sure wasn’t going to happen so she withdrew her hand quickly.
“Yes, you're a vampire.” She repeated as she nodded her head slowly watching her new fledglings react to feeling no pulse or heartbeat. Her once flushed pink skin was now growing paler and paler by the second - the porcelain doll effect most vampires had were setting in.
“I’m sorry, for what it’s worth.” It was a sincere apology, she hadn’t meant to feed on her once the woman needed to feed that was it. Nothing to could stand in her way despite the amount of restraint she had.
There was a sigh, as she went to the small shop they had set up in the Crypt as she grabbed a blood pack and offered it to the woman when she returned to her moments later. She was sure to be hungry. She had to be. “Drink this, it’ll help calm your nerves. Pretend it's a bloody mary.” There was a pun in there, unintentional of course.

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Mora.
The name was ingrained into her as she looked the woman over, before finally meeting those green eyes. She didn't bother lifting her hand, busy as she was holding herself upright. She unzipped her jacket - it felt warmish here, and at least she wasn't in the snow - exposing the Hufflepuff tee she wore, displaying yellow and black and the badger proudly.
Kaylee had gotten into photography originally because of Colin Creevey, and had stayed with it as an expression of emotion. She could capture so much more in one photograph than was possible in a million words. She clung to her camera with her left hand.
"Don't be sorry," the petite girl blurted, when Mora returned with the blood pack. "You were just following instinct. I...you must have been hungry, to drink so much." She let go of her camera, scratching the left side of her throat with her left hand. "If you said anything before you bit me, I wouldn't have heard it. I...there's a...I'm deaf in this ear." She tapped it, under her hair, with a sigh, before pulling out her headphones, showing her the electrical tape modification. "I don't like to let just anyone in on that."
Guess I don't really have a choice, she thought, laying her headphones on her leg and accepting the bag. She looked anxious, initially, before the thought occurred to her. Pretend it's Kool-Aid. Like in sixth grade...just backwards. With an ache, a pair of small, very small, fangs emerged. "Okay, ow," she whimpered. "Don't think about it, don't think about it, just do it..." And she sank those fangs through the plastic, and started to suck it down.

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
She noted the Harry Potter shirt and smirked a little bit. Who didn’t like Harry Potter. Even growing up - she loved their films, the books more though. The books had so much more depth in them - it was why she owned a library. So she could house all her favourite books and share them with the people that also loved books.
She gave the woman the bag and nodded her head, she seemed to be taking her death quite well. Which was good for Mora, if she had a hysteric childe - she’d probably be rubbing her temples right now. She shook her head slowly. No. Yet, she had to agree she was very hungry.
“Yes, I was very hungry.” She wanted to say that she would understand whenever she got into that state of hunger - but she would not let her get into such a state. “Still, I’m sorry your life was cut short.”
She said she was deaf in the one ear then and she simply blinked. She had always assumed vampire blood would heal wounds. How had her blood not healed her ability to hear in two ears. She let out a sigh, somewhat disappointed that her blood wasn’t strong enough to heal her completely, or perhaps she didn’t give her enough. “Ah, that’s alright.” She smiled at Kaylee.
She watched as her new childe bit into the bag and began to drink. She could see the woman’s hesitance to try it. She was the same herself when she was sired four years ago. She understood the woman’s predicament. “Don’t think about it, Kay” She laughed. “It gets easier though, the bag will sustain you for now. When you're up for it we can find you someone alive - warm blood is usually the best.”

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Very quickly, she had the blood pack drained, the blood oozing down her throat, swallowed quickly. She didn't know whether or not to bring up what she was certain she'd seen in that other place - the place her rational mind called an illusion. It worked if she told herself it was just Kool-Aid. The color and texture were about right for tropical punch flavor. She gently set the drained plastic aside, and smoothed wrinkles from her jeans.
"Everything that happens is for a reason, doesn't it? There are no accidents, no coincidences. We ran into each other for a reason - no doubt about that. Otherwise this," she gestured to herself, "wouldn't have happened." She truly believed that, even as scratched at her throat gently.
She knew that vampire blood could have fixed her hearing. It was part of every single vampire story she'd read. So she felt the need to explain. "I've been deaf in my left ear since childhood. Technically, it's already healed - it just didn't heal right. I don't know what caused it - the family doctor never pinpointed it, and neither did a specialist. Unilateral deafness. I was four when it happened, and I've lived this way ever since." She held up the headphones again. "I don't like people knowing about it, so I have these and pretend I'm listening to music whenever someone comes up on my left."
She was still thirsty. "When do you think we can go?" she asked.

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
She watched Kaylee with some kind of wild fascination, the woman believed in fate and that just made the woman all the more cuter in her eyes. She felt less guilty about the fact that she had essentially killed her and turned her into a vampire than the simple idea that she now believed what had happened was now down to fate, she brought the palm of her hand up to her face and giggled a little.
She had to, the way this girl spoke was with such innocence, such innocence that she herself held. Despite the hatred she felt for Hellequin when he had made her - a doll to his collection of other dolls. Mora was force turned, she didn’t have a choice - it had been intentional, but Kaylee she was slightly different. She didn’t have a choice it was simply down to Mora’s weakness when it came to blood.
“I admire that, you really hold no animosity towards me, despite the fact that you are now dead - and that would mean, you will never grow old, you will never bear children. You are stuck in this state now, until you die whenever that may be.” Mora looked at Kaylee with such sad eyes, she couldn’t help it. She felt nothing but guilt for taking her away from life before she had even had reached her prime.
She listened to the woman when it came to being deaf, she smiled and used her fingers to act out the idea of zipping her lips. She wouldn’t tell a soul. “Your secret is safe with me, Kay.” She said. She moved closer to Kaylee then, plucking the empty bag of blood from her hands. She was asking when they could go and she shrugged.
“Whenever you want to go. May it be now, or later. Depends if you're up for it, little dove.”

Re: Her Halo Is Broken (Mora)
Curling blonde hair around one finger, wiping at her mouth with the other, Kaylee sat, for several minutes, considering. Contemplating. There was so much she wanted - no, needed to know. Rules, everything about what she was now. She knew about the blood, and the fangs, but there had to be more, right?
"Are there any things I need to know, before we do...that?" she asked. "Like - I know the obvious. Humans aren't supposed to know about us. That's in pretty much every form of vampire fiction. Even Twilight had it, horrible though the plot was, it did have a few redeeming qualities." She took a deep - now unneeded - breath, closed her eyes, and shook her head. "Anything I need to know, at all, would be awesome."
She couldn't escape that hunger, apparently. It was gnawing at her, making her even hungrier with every passing moment. Feed, feed, feed, feed, feed, said a little voice, in the back of her mind, the voice of hunger, clearly.
"I'm still...thirsty," Kaylee admitted. "But knowledge is always good to have, right?"
