I'm sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere, I didn't even know where to start in order to look and avoid making a new thread, ALAS, here I am. (and Ill probably be utilizing this thread later when more questions come up from me. )

The binding ritual for partners, is that only extended to vampires or are human classes allowed to do that too?

There's a Necromancer power called Gravedigger that does just that. It keeps you hidden from enemies, if something or someone should be hunting you. I don't use it much.

These powers might not be things you recognise. They're not going to announce themselves when they happen. They'll happen in the heat of the moment and you might not realise you were capable of it.

Which, Okoro has been trying but of course, it won't work because Jamie and I use the same IP because we live together! HOW DO WE TRANSLATE THIS TO IC?? Because Okoro SHOULD be able to, but OOC circumstances are preventing this!

I am not quite sure I understand how two characters under the same IP is preventing one character from using powers. .. But I am going to try to take a stab at it..

The in rp, you roleplay it that your character did it unconsciously, as a natural defensive reaction or anger reaction or annoyed reaction, what ever the case may be. But you the player still has to activate the power on the character in the grid.

Another way this can be accomplished, is role play that the character did it, but it doesn't have to be done on grid.

For instance Doc has a thread where he is testing how far his powers of teleport work.. he has an rp that he drives one hour north and teleports back to HR.. Well the grid doesnt go that far.. so it is a roleplayed action only.

For further clarification: Jamie (Nona's writer) and I live together, thus, Nona and Okoro are on the same IP. And when the power to Blood Heal Nona on grid was attempted, I got this message:

You cannot aid one of your own characters.

WHICH, is because Jamie and I live together and share the same IP.


BUT, what you were suggesting is ignoring that and accepting in RP that it would happen even though it didn't happen on grid and the grid and RP don't match. Right?

My only concern with doing this is if anyone checked on grid -- i.e., the characters actually used powers to look at Nona -- they wouldn't see Okoro using Blood Heal and it would be like, "Oh. He lied. He didn't do it."

Oh oK.. I am with you now. I wasn't thinking using powers on another character.. I was thinking you were trying to activate a power on your character and it wasn't working.

But yes.. because you share an IP you cannot help her in grid, because that is considered alt-aiding.

But yes.. rp wise.. since you two are kind hamstrung cause of the IP.. I would say you could easily take poetic license and have it be rp only.
