Belle watched a new woman walk in. She was classy and very pretty, it didn't surprise her when she bid on the man. Handsome and pretty always seemed to be a match. Belle's intentions had basically only been for fun, perhaps even learn a few new things. She didn't imagine she needed to pay more than 50k for that however. If she ever wanted to know anything about mister tall dark and handsome she supposed she could always send an email. Still it was a bit of a let down.

Looking over at the woman and then Grant, she laughed soflty and threw up her hands in surrender. She was sure he was worth every penny of that fifty thousand and even more, but her bank account probably didnt feel the same way. She nodded politely toward the man on stage and smiled.

Just when it looked as thought the final auction of the evening was becoming a two horse race, another rider came up on the rails and joined the hunt. Stonehouse raised an eyebrow as the call of fifty thousand burst from the lips of the latest entrant, another woman, more than doubling the previous bid of twenty thousand. It wasn’t necessarily the size of the offer, nor the beauty of the bidder that caused Stonehouse’s interest levels to shoot up to the peak of the scale, but the deadpan, almost sarcastic tone of her voice as it drifted through her luscious rep lips. Her comment about daddy issues sent the cogs of his mind whirling into overdrive, as her mannerisms seemed incredibly familiar, but the frustrated businessman couldn’t quite put a finger on where he may have encountered her. A subtle grin was aching to creep across Stonehouse’s face, as he wanted to respond to her remark. If she were willing to pay fifty thousand dollars for a man, then perhaps she was the one with daddy issues. Ever the professional, Stonehouse resisted the urge to verbally duel with the woman while the bidding was still in progress, but he knew that he was just keeping his powder dry until the show was over.

Hecklers usually craved attention, but she wouldn’t receive any… not unless she won, of course. Stonehouse simply acknowledged the big spender’s bid with a gentle nod of his head, before smiling sympathetically at the woman named Abelle as she appeared to succumb to her latest rival and exit the race.
