Niklaus went through the pages in front of him quietly while listening to the brief overview speech about Sirens that Ambrose delivered. Indeed, that was one of his shortlisted creatures but did they really exist? And how did they look like? The Killer remembered that the Ancient Tizheruk that surfaced a while back could disguise itself so it was highly probable that this Siren was doing the same. His fingers meanwhile discreetly delved into his backpack again to retrieve another device to switch it on; it was an audio jammer this time. So small, simple-looking and inconspicuous, it could have passed for a loudspeaker system but it had only one single, very important purpose - to protect room conversations where sensitive information may be exchanged by generating a random masking sound which desensitized any microphones nearby, and it would work up to 150 square feet of space. The jammer was effective against any microphone based eavesdropping device including tape recorders, RF transmitters, hard wired microphones and shotgun microphones so they were pretty much covered there. Security cameras could still catch them, sure, but at least their conversation was protected.
The Killer chose to respond telepathically as well as he relaxed back into his seat once the jammer was functional. “I was in a hotel, visiting a friend. An old radio started crackling and played some strange tune, courtesy of the Siren I’m guessing.” That was it, it was all he was willing to share. No one else had to know about his escapade with Tomi in the Pandemonium, nope. “And I do have one question – how do we protect ourselves from it so it can’t affect us again? In a way, yes, how do we neutralize the Siren?”
That was the first order of business before even looking for the Siren. It would just be incredibly stupid to find the creature first and risk getting whammied again, so they needed to have a plan. He knew that the others might have had different ideas in mind. Maybe some would try to communicate with the Siren instead, ask questions – if she chose to ‘attack’ them or whether if it was all an accident. Others may try to hurt the creature as payback or kill it even, those people would most likely get Niklaus’ support because at the end of the day, vampires and greek, fae creatures or whatever didn’t really ‘talk’. It was how their world worked. They tried to kill one another and that was it. No diplomacy among monsters.

Tiamat sighed as the sound system in the entire restaurant began making a piercing squealing noise. She rose to her feet and looked at the woman at computer. She straightened her dress. “Do me a favor; tell Michelle I’m going to take over her table in the corner.” She picked up her phone and a small Bluetooth microphone. Once the device was safely hidden under her long raven hair she reached for the handle of the office door and stepped out into the main floor of the restaurant.

Many nights had went by since Tiamat and Zodiac had acted so strangely Mortll had pretty much put it out of her mind there were too many other things to take care of and consider than a harmless flirtation. Her priority now was to appease her head chef He had for many weeks been asking to add things to the menu Things Mortll had never tasted as a human ... This led to a huge dilemma for her If she had never tasted it how was she to approve of such things. He had a foul looking pot on the stove trying to shove a spoonful of the concoction at her and she kept refusing she was practically relived when the loud screeching sound came over the sound system It gave her a good excuse to escape her forced feeding .
She headed to the dining room to see what the commotion was when the sound abated There were a few patrons That were looking relived and settling back into their meals when Mortll gazed around the dining room just to see Tiamat in a apron waiting on a table ..."What the hell?" Mortll mumbled under her breath what was the woman up to ... then she caught a good look at who was sitting at the table it was a motley crew of vampires a few that she recognized and one she never thought she would see in one of her places ...
She approached the table "Hello ladies ,Gentlemen and Niklaus ." she glared at Tiamat shooting her a telepathic message "What are you up to ? ... You've never waited tables and Michelle is quite free ?"
she looked back at the group " I do hope you are being well taken care of ?" She glared at Tiamat again wondering what the woman was up to ... she knew her penchant for going overboard .

Re: Siren Search (Open to Siren Event Participants)
Cori flips through the materials that the older vampire had handed out. She was familiar with the myth of the siren..but hesitant to believe that anything like this could exist. AS soon as the doubt entered her mind, it was quickly erased by another thought. A few months ago i would have thought vampires were but a myth, as well..she thought. A smile came across Cori's face as the unbelievable accounts over the past few months flew back into her mind.
Cori heard the question that the one called Ambrose asked. She had been spoken to telepathically, before...but by one that she trusted. Something about this one did not make her feel comfortable, as Myk had. Her eyes scanned the table and the silence was deafening. She assumed that some were answering back to Ambrose with their mind. A power that Cori had not yet mastered...and not even sure if she wanted to master.
With a shrug of her shoulders Cori spoke. " I was at my place of employment..finishing off a shift when I was overcome by dare I say feelings. The music at the bar i was working at was playing, per usual and it was a busy evening. I did find that once I left the bar and got further away that whatever had come over me, the "spell", seemed to break within an instant." Cori sat back in her chair, her hand immediately went to her thigh, which hid Demeter.
It was not that Cori had any fear being around a gaggle of vampires...her instincts told her to always be prepared for what may come... whatever it may be.
" So what are we going to do about this... if anything?" Cori wanted someone to pay for what had happened to her. She freakin tried to seduce a human..which made her stomach turn a slight bit. Humans are nothing but food... they have no other use..none at all.

Square in your ship's path are Sirens, crying
beauty to bewitch men coasting by;
woe to the innocent who hears that sound!
He will not see his lady nor his children
in joy, crowding about him, home from sea;
the Sirens will sing his mind away
on their sweet meadow lolling

Re: Siren Search (Open to Siren Event Participants)
"Why don't we just buy lemon juice? It would be easier."
"Easier and packing a ton of chemicals my clients do not want in their honey/lemon cough suppressant." Zodiac answered. She continued slice lemons in half while Jennifer ran them into the juicer. "This is the way she made it and it is the way I will make it and if I had real born of me children I would be teaching them how to do it this way."
"This quit being fun an hour ago." Jennifer paused her end of the process and looked at the crates of lemons waiting to be slice and juiced yet and sighed. She unhooked the small bucket the lemon juice had been flowing into and took it to the caldron and poured it in..
"Who said giving the customer exactly what they want is ever fun? This isn't medicine or a magick potion. Just a holistic alternative to what you find in the drug store. I even had a couple physicians look it over and they could find no fault in it-provided I do not claim its medicine." the gypsy stopped slicing and glanced at Jennifer's laptop. "Any news from the would-be Fae-Busters?"
The girl checked. "Not another peep."
"Oh good. Perhaps they all managed to get themselves killed by now." she said absently with a hint of a smile. Zodiac picked up her knife and began slicing again when her phone began to trill in her pocket. After several attempts, she managed to get it where she could read the message without it slipping out of her lemon juice covered fingers.
"Who was that?"
"Tia. Something about a game about to start or something." she dropped the phone back into her pocket. She felt she was missing something now for some odd reason. She should be at work now, not running around playing games.....
"Where is that meeting at again?" she asked. Jennifer quickly scanned through the entries.
"Dragon's Lair. That's that restaurant near the new shop, isn't it?" She looked up at the gypsy who was wearing a deep scowl suddenly as if she had come to a major conclusion. "Zo? What's wrong?"
" De ce stiu acest lucru ar suge-ma in ceva? De ce?" her mindspeak tore through the girl's mind like a wind storm now. Her employer was screaming in Romany now, which never meant anything except the mystic was angry beyond all reason.
" Ea vrea să mori? Mult mai uşoară moduri de a administra! Doriţi să ţi capul in leul's gura şi îndrăznesc să muşte?" Zodiac's thoughts kept growing louder as she began to pace about the work room. " Idiot! De ce nu am găsi întotdeauna idioti?"
"Zo! What's wrong?"
" Nimic nu o lovitură în partea posterioară să nu leac." she shouted a final time before calming down. "Nothing. Nothing at all. Fool girl wants to get her throat ripped off, it isn't my problem. So what are you looking at, woman? Get those lemons juiced." she barked at Jennifer as she began to slice again. Her mind was in a whirl now wondering what was going on.
