Doc was in the lobby of the Sanctuary checking his cell for messages. Minx, Chubchub, Dawnie all said they would come. Leo too, but she seemed concerned about being absolute on her yes. Doc had told Cyth about this, but she vaguely implied she had previous plans. He didn't press her. This could one of her ways of telling him, *he* needed to spend time with his spawns, Not her spending time with his spawns. It was so much easier for her to do this sort of thing.
Pi dArtois The renovation of the Under Secretary Office was complete and with the renovation of the first floor of what had once been her office and then the entrance to the Training Room, was morphed into the reception area of the apartments upper and lower. Gone was her desk that sat in the corner, and in its pace was a L-Shaped reception area and elevators to take residents to their apartments. But the Training Room hadn't changed, the equipment had been placed back the pool finally uncovered and newly chlorinated.
Pi dArtois The swish of water greeted her as she took the portal directly into the gymnasium itself, depositing her directly on top of the door way that led to the sewers below. It was a short cut to the QZ that no one used anymore (especially since the family had a portal that deposited them directly there).
Pi dArtois Elliot was working tonight, and the look he gave her when she told him about the text from Doc said it all really. He have come if she'd asked him. He'd have come because he, even more than she, appreciated what it meant to keep connected to those they had turned (even if you didn't' always get along). There were two branches that Pi rarely got to connect with, Pratt's little brood and Doc's. For Pratt there was no reversing the tides there. What was done, was done and where she had considered forgiving him his failures, she understood that there was no way he would forgive her, hers.
Leona joins Sanctuary
Pi dArtois It was not the same with Charles, and she hoped in this case, her being here would come some small way to changing how disconnected she was from the people Charles had turned. Turning in place she surveyed the room and smiled at Charles, giving him a small nod and she came forward.
Pi dArtois "Bonjour Charles... Cava?" she said quietly in greeting.
Cathy Dawn is sitting down reading a book called Dark Blood. It is a book that she has the whole collection of. She is wearing skin tight black pants, Black top and black shoes.

Doc "Hello Pi." He smiled his usual crooked close lipped smile, but it was a genuine smile. "You are looking well." He sent a quick look around, and noted Elliot was not about. he seemed relieved, He didn't want fight in front of his spawns. In his scan of the room, he spotted Dawnie. He looked back at Pi, and nodded toward Dawnie. "That's Dawnie.. my .. " he cleared his throat somewhat "Baby..."
Dominique joins Sanctuary
Dominique steps into the lobby still carrying the stench of way too many plants as she does. Looks around and spots Doc and interesting enough...Leona. raises a brow and approaches.
Skylar joins Sanctuary
Cathy Dawn hears her name and looks up "Hi dad?" She says then goes to close the book. She wondered if he had seen the mess she had made of the bed in the room she had been in before coming down here to read her book. It was funny.
Pi dArtois "Hello .... " Pi greeted facing the woman. She wasn't sure it was appropriate to use the same nickname and was uncomfortable adopting the same so didn't. Instead she greeted the woman, her hands reaching into the slim pockets of her three quarter pants as Pi held herself back leaning forward to kiss the woman's cheeks.
Kaelyn joins Sanctuary

Cathy Dawn smiles at Pi as she has her cheek kissed "Hello ma'am. It is nice to meet you as well."
Kaelyn stuffed her phone into the pocket of her flower printed summer dress as she pushed through the front door to the lobby. She had been told by both Cathy and Papi to come, so she figured she should probably do so. Meeting new people was never very easy for her though and it had her a bit of a nervous wreck. Steadying her nerves a bit as she saw Doc, she made her way over to him, already deciding that she'd be attached to his hip for the evening. Three people she didn't recognize already in view. "Hi Papi..."
Pi dArtois So many faces Pi didn't know. How does that happen, that the little group you once thought you knew well could bloom and swell with faces that she wouldn't know to acknowledge if she passed them on the street. But maybe that is what these events where for, for just that reason. To shave off the anonymity and open themselves up to who others had brought into the family too. Despite their differences her and Charles were learning to slowly understand their place in each other's lives, no matter how satellite that may be. "How are you settling in?†Pi asked Cathy, her gaze moving away from the other who had just arrived to give the woman her full attention.
