Aviana was quiet as Eclipse spoke, and the woman held her attention. Avi’s gaze would only dart back to Nathaniel, as he spoke to her. His words cut deep and she could feel a buildup within her mind, something never before experienced. Feeling as if she were to release it, such would flood upon the man’s thoughts but Avi did no such thing. She couldn’t even find words as she spotted what he would pull out of his back pocket and tosses to her. She caught it and held it against the front of her, with both arms. Lost, in complete shock of the reality of what he said and what he had done. He had not only broken into her apartment but had taken and read her diary. Her personal thoughts, poems and confessions…. It was almost as she felt naked and exposed from the humility of it all.
Turning then, she would face the window as Nathaniel turned his attention to Eclipse. Avi hadn’t meant to, but she had caught something, a memory not of her own, but from the man who had turned her that night. She looked so afraid, and had begged for death, calming that her heart had nothing to live for. Avi shook such an image from her mind, you should have killed me, this was what she thought. One hand still held the diary close, the other would reach for fingers to touch lightly over the glass. Flinching slightly when there was a knock at the door. Listening then as the one who entered was greeted.
A brother? Siblings? This was a hard concept to grasp for several reasons. She had been an only child, raised by her grandmother. Avi supposed it was the lack of a male remodel, throughout life, that lead to such a poor choice for a relationship in the past. Here yet again, another Male had entered her world, to turn it all completely upside down. Avi would turn then, looking first to Eclipse, she seemed so kind, and yet Avi couldn’t help but wish that she could have forgotten her past as the woman had. Maybe this situation could have felt differently? Looking on then, her gaze would do best to avoid Nathaniel, but rather to look to who had just now entered the apartment.
