Pi took the sheet off Sapphire, both hers and Elliot (since he was bent over the table doing his best to line up his shot). She remembered Sapphire from the times they’d met in the Den. Running her eyes over the paper she sighed.

Nothing on it was going to be answered correctly by her. Pi wasn’t a people person, in any deep sense of the word. She wasn’t the one who listened attentively for details like what the name of ones dog was or, what someone’s favourite drink could be. (although if she tried to throw her mind back, maybe she’d remember from her and Sky’s time in the casino).

So she did what she always did, she gave it to Elliot. Stepping in front of him she slapped the piece of paper down on the table where he could see it and pointed to the top question. “I think you and I need to work together on this one.”

Doc finished his answers, headed to the bar to turn the quiz into the human behind it. He gave the human a polite smile, before turning away. His intention was to head back to the lovely group of ladies, when he noticed Pi was not chained at the hip to Elliot. Elliot was making a billiards shot. Doc slowly smiled inwardly to himself. Billiards took concentration. How to aim your pool cue, where on the cue ball to hit in order to sink your intended ball.

Doc wandered over to where Pi was waiting and watching as Elliot lined up his shot. His voice was low, so as not to distract the shooter. “You are looking lovely as ever, Pi.” He leaned forward to give Pi a chaste kiss on the cheek. Someone in the know looking on, may see it as a sign of reverence for one’s sire; whereas someone not in the know, may see it as an affectionate greeting of a friend close and long standing. It didn't matter to Doc which way people preferred to view it. He wanted to greet his sire, and if what he did, managed to piss off Elliot, all the better.

The further Pyper got into the quiz, the more she was realizing that she did not know her sibling. Not before, and certainly with the questions she was asked, not now. Some she left blank, because she had no variables or knowledge that could sum up a halfway reasonable answer. Bemused, and with a soft frown, the Telepath handed in her quiz and joined back by Nerissa and Beverly.

"I don't know many board games," she said aloud, to the both of them. "We should have some for the apartment. I know, chess. We use to play chess." Checkers, too but the complexity of chess stuck out.

No one had responded to Elliot's wolf whistle and his request for another couple to play pool with them. In fact, it was almost as if he were invisible, the amount of people who actually looked his way or acknowledged them at all. The lack of interest sloughed off Elliot's shoulder and he just shrugged. He didn't mind if it were just he and Pi. He didn't mind at all.

He had lined up all the balls perfectly, before finding himself a cue and chalking it. He hadn't even had much of a chance to lean over and line up the shot before Pi was slapping down a piece of paper in front of him; a quiz. He glanced at the questions and arched a brow. So this WAS turning into a regular kind of wedding thing. These were the kinds of games women played at Hen's parties. He'd seen plenty of drunken quizzes answered at the pub, a woman in tiara and sash always the centre of attention.

"In a second," he said, shifting the paper out of the way before leaning to line the shot up again. Pi had moved away. Over the top of the balls, Elliot saw Doc greet her. His eyes narrowed; when Doc placed that kiss on Pi's cheek, his body tensed. The shot was lined up, alright - Elliot aimed the cue at bottom curve of the white ball. There was a severe thud and crack as the tip of the stick hit the ball. Rather than fly toward the triangle of balls, however, the white ball went flying through the air. Aimed directly at Doc's head.

Nerissa looked at the quiz she was given and frowned. Looks like that dagger won't be mine. She glanced through the questions and then guessed on one of them. She didn't know Skylar or Ric, so she had little to no chance of getting any of the questions right.

She put the paper down on the table near them and went back to watching the crowd. She saw Doc head towards a couple playing pool, and decided to see what would happen. Doc was the only one she really knew at this point other than the two women with her, so she was curious to see what he was like with other people.

Pi had reconciled her past with Charles. She didn’t talk about it. She was intensely private, preferring to keep her relationships close to her chest. She wouldn’t make a scene, wouldn’t announce her previous association with Charles to the room as he’d done earlier. Because she couldn’t fathom making their past a debacle to be tittered about and plucked at by people who weren’t involved.

She knew what he was doing when he came over, his smile sharp, his gaze cutting to Elliot before falling on her with a toothy smile. Inside her mind, she sighed, wishing for the day the baiting that seemed to happen every time the three of them were in a room, would end.

"Bonjour Charles.” She greeted, keeping her tone pleasantly neutral despite the fact she knew what he was doing, of the mischief he was brewing.

Understanding showed in her gaze as it shifted to her physician childe. Her own gaze narrowed on the man she had turned, purposely not meeting Elliot’s in the hope that the other man would keep his **** together. “You’re looking well yourself.” She responded politely. So politely. Two people, just meeting at a social event, nothing else, nothing more. “I’m leaving Elliot to fill….”

She wasn’t watching Elliot so didn’t see the ball heading towards them, trying as she was, not to look that man in the eye at all. Well, until she couldn’t help but see it because it decided to nearly konk her in the side of her head.

Perhaps it was the ring of danger intuition growing hot or perhaps it was Pi’s hastily cut off word, whatever it was that warned him, he barely missed getting clocked in the head by Elliot’s horrible shot. Though he doubted it was a ‘true’ horrible shot. It seemed more like a designed to be accidental. But that made Doc grin over at Elliot. The cue ball being shot at his head showed he was able to get under Elliot’s skin. “Ouch. Scratch. Pity.”

Doc looked at Pi, grin still firmly in place, “You’re up. I could help you line up your shot.. maybe help you with your.. stroke?”

Pyper watched a white orb sail across the room. The alleged target being her employer. It wasn't a surprise that Charles was under fire. He seemed to cause a friction between another person everywhere he went. She never understood where people fell under the impression Charles was a malignant being. He had even referred to himself as a bad individual (barring the doctor's colorful language when describing what type of person he was and is). Yet he had always been accommodating and relatively nice to her.

She recognized that his mouth got him into these sort of predicaments and how he used his mouth. The way he smiled could have been interpreted as him being smug, at enticing such a reaction from the male she looked over. His sarcasm and harsh vocabulary didn't phase that uplifting and inquisitive attitude she had. Adopting a few words and the use of facetious tones have gone well from her night to night activities and even gained her escape from screwing around into broken in buildings. Charles' flaws were also his charms.

Lucretia dubbed the action, while overzealous, an understandable one. She counted over Beverly's knuckles. One, two, three, four. Her eyes tunneled until they remained unblinking and concentrated on Elliot. Calix often told her that people didn't appreciate another meddling in their head and looking at things. Pyper noticed that most wouldn't know if she peeked and not feeling as open to the idea of approaching too many new faces, she couldn't compile information.

If she didn't bring up the fact that she was tapering inside, no one would know. The reach of her mind stretched to pick the mind of the billiard player.

I nod at what Jules says and then look at Skylar and shrug. "Was curious is all. Don't get your panties in a bind." I say before my eyes fall down on the gift that was more or less thrust on me. "You shouldn't have." And I meant it just like that. I hate presents. I hate gifts. I hate **** people give you that clutters your space. But since it was from Jules, I decide to bite my tongue and open the thing anyways. It was a set of some sort. One being a brain and the other being an empty skull. I observe both items carefully and then give the skull to Skylar. "Unless you want the brains?" I ask her with a shrug.

I take the skull pendant and look at Jules.
"Thanks babe. They're lovely."
I'm not big on jewellery consider I make the stuff but it's cute. I quickly hug Jules and then turn my attention to Ric.
"You keep the brains babe, you can use all the help you can get in that department."
I wink at him. I'm clearly playing. My boy has brains and I know it. He's probably smarter than me in many ways.
Pendant in hand, I put my arms around Ric's neck. I'm hugging him side on, so as not to stand with my back to Jules; cos that would be rude. I pull Ric towards me and kiss his cheek, before I place my head on his shoulder and look into the room. I can feel some pretty negative vibes coming from Ellie's direction.
I see the drink Sapphire poured me a while back sitting on the bar and go to collect it, kissing Ric on the shoulder before I go. I’m still trying not to be too hands on with him.
The drink slides down my throat all too easily and before I know it, it’s gone.
I’m watching Ellie.
