Come to Jesus - Part Two (Kenlie, Dominique)

Doc’s phone buzzed, indicating he a got a text. It was from Velveteen. Over the course of the next few minutes, he and Vel exchanged texts about a situation with Victor and Kenlie. He had already told Kenlie in no uncertain terms to stay the **** out of it. Nothing would be gain by her butting into it. He and Victor even had spoken about it.

The whole situation, as he understood it, had started because Velveteen and Jesse has an issue that was aired on the family forum. Instead of letting Jesse and Vel deal with it, Victor jumped into the fray and added his two cents. Doc didn't know what Victor had said but Vel found it insulting and basically wanted an apology or repercussions would had happen. So then Kenlie decided to get involved. Did she not see what happened when Victor had done that?! So he told her to support her husband and help him keep his cool. He had thought she had listened to him. That is, until Vel called him and told him that Kenlie was making noises and looked to be interfering again.

How much more plain could he make it? He had told her that Victor was a big boy and for good or bad, he needed to stand by his words, or in other words put up or shut up. And that by her interjecting herself into the mix does nothing to improve the situation. Her argument was that she was trying to mitigate things. Doc told her, that was not her role. Her role was to be supportive and keep him from making a ******* jackass of himself. He also told her, that having his wife come out and fight his battles for him, made him look weak as hell, emasculated, and that he would never learn if she always got in the middle.

Doc thought Kenlie had listened. But Vickie apparently was a pussy. Instead of standing up and putting his money where his mouth was, he refused to take charge of the situation. Hell his own 16 year old spawn offered to die for him; which showed she had bigger stones than he did, if he had any at all. Day after day Vickie dragged this **** out until Kenlie lost her patience apparently and jumped into it again. What a ******* wuss-*** pussy.

Doc texted Kenlie to see how the situation lay. Her responses were short. As though she knew he would be pissed. Then Vel texted that Dominique was there. He told Vel that she was probably there to offer support, that she was just following his example. He had been by her side as she and Ripper fought. It wasn’t easy observing. He wanted to ******* shoot Ripper himself, but this was Minx fight, he let her handle it.

Doc had presumed that Minx would do the same thing.. until.. **** him, Vel texted him back and told him they were both dead. He sighed as he remembered it. Then he was told, Vickie laughed as both Kenlie and Dominique died. He ******* laughed? ******* asshole. He was just like Robert Pratt. Letting everyone else die for him. Any respect Vickie had earned from him, was lost in that moment. As much as he wanted to go kill Vickie himself, he knew that every day Vickie stayed topside, was one more day that made his cowardice more noticeable. The same could not be said about Kenlie or Dominique, for good or bad, they backed up their words with action; and for that he was ******* proud of them. Now he had to beat into their head to be more ******* strategic.. and to quit butting into **** that isn’t their fight.

Doc prepared himself for a fade walk. He ******* hated to fade walk. It messed with his head. It made him irritable and cranky for days after. But he needed to go support the spawns in the fade. He needed to show them they needed to focus and not let the static and voices get to them. That they could overcome it.. they had each other there, they needed to keep each other strong. It was then that the question came to him, did everyone hear the static and the voices? Or was it different per person?
