Day of Restoration: Nightmode's Victorian Fetish Ball

He hugged the much smaller woman when she finally came over to him, the cocktail already warm in his belly. "Surprised I'm here too. Didn't mean to be back this soon but it seemed right. Besides, couldn't have you or anyone else worrying about me off on a mountain all alone." He let her out of the massive embrace and let out a low whistle. "You look absolutely stunning tonight dear."

She hugged him tightly and then chuckled to his words before perking a brow. "Mountains?" She questioned, wondering what he was talking about. He had never told her anything about going anywhere so that was a little confusing. When he complimented her, however, she stepped back and did a little twirl and smirked. "Like it? It was something I had stashed away"

She was talking to Jonah, catching up and having a great time when she got the message from Jan. She looked around the place quickly and sure enough, right at the end of the bar stood Momento. She blinked a few times and then moved over to her. One moment, Jonah." She looked to Momento and smiled. Its nice to see you out and about, love. She commented with a big proud smile.

[Jonah]

"Went to Tibet for a little vacation. Needed some time away. And it did some good I think." He laughed at her twirl."I very much believe you just happened to have that lying around."

He nodded when she left to go see her other friend and looked around. He thought he had seen Zodiac in here somewhere when he walked in and he needed to talk to her anyway to set up a time to drop off her present. The statue he'd gotten her was likely a bit more than she'd anticipated but he knew she would like it.

[Kennedy]

She was late...she was -very- late but Mordechai knew that if there was a special event such as tonight, she needed days to shop and prepare which she didn't have. Finally her dress was picked out after spending what seemed an entire day of trying clothes on for the evenings party. Her human qualities gave her an advantage which she exploited when she could. Sean had gone along with her to help. Once her dress was purchased, Sean went to work on her hair while she did her make-up before slipping into the dress. The clerk said that it was perfect for her and showed off her long legs which was the main reason she bought it. It would tickle Mordechai and tease Zodiac, if she was there. Once she was finished with hair and make-up, Sean helped her into her dress and cinched the corset as tight as it could go. It was a good thing that she didn't need to breathe.

Sean took her clothes and make-up home and she used her powers of celerity to rush to Nightmode. Stepping into the building, she looked around and smiled when she saw Mordechai but then again it wasn't hard to miss him. He was the tallest in the room. Making her way across the floor, she smiled up at him and those that he was gathered with. "Hey babe!" Reaching up on her tip toes, she kissed his cheek. "Evening everyone. Please do forgive my tardiness."

A rare smile graced the killers visage as he leaned down to hug his world. Just bu being there she had lightened his mood. "I knew you would show eventually." Turning to the blonde killer across from Zodiac, he extended a hand as he made introductions," Lofyn? this is my mate, Kennedy. Kennedy, Lofyn, a friend of Zodiac," Introductions made, he pulled kennedy against him absorbing some of her vibrancy, "Care to dance?"

[Kennedy]

"Of course I would show. I can't just leave you hanging but having a few days to prep for a party puts less stress on Sean and I to find the perfect outfit." Smiling at the blonde woman that was across from them, she gave a polite nod. "Pleasure to meet you Lofyn. Hiya Zo. I'll save a dance for you if big guy here will let you cut in. Groping is optional." She laughed as she teasingly looked up at Mordechai as he pulled her tightly to him. "I would love to dance. Lead the way..."

[Lorelai]

Lorelai felt stupid standing alone, pining for a man she knew she’ been lucky to even see at the ball. She should have been contented by the fact that he’d showed up at all and in some ways she was, but his abrupt exit left her with a knot in her stomach. She knew she’d done something wrong but try as she might she couldn’t figure out what that was.

She kept her distance from pretty much everyone around her but especially Mordechai. She made sure to know where he was, although that wasn’t a particularly difficult task, and tried to make sure that she didn’t catch his eye. Once Kennedy arrived however, this changed and she found herself wanting to go and join the pair.

[Kennedy]

Looking about the room as she was entertained by all of the different styles that people chose to wear, her eye caught sight of Lorelai. She didn't know her all that well but she was starting to get to know her a little bit with family outings at different raids where they needed to work as a team. From what she knew, Lore was quiet and very attached to Prudence and Kennedy's sibling, Levi because typically if you found one then you were sure able to find the other. She was sweet and Kennedy always had the urge to protect her while holding back the desire to just hug her. Sticking her hand up in the air to wave to Lorelai over the sea of people, she smiled at her. "Hey babe...Lorelai's here and I don't see Levi. We should hang out with her. What do you think?"

[Mordechai]

Mordechai straightened the black velvet frock coat, surprised someone hadn't tried to paint Elvis on his back. Adjusting the neckerchief, he led Kennedy out on the floor. Swaying to the music for a moment drawing the beat into him he heard her comment about Lorelai, and smiled to her as his arms wrapped around her. "As you command" He whispered to her, then reached out with his mind. "Mz Lorelai, my kennedy requests your presence, please join us" Once again he attempted a disarming smile in her direction, then bent his head to the vivacious allurist in his arms

The small, simple gesture of a wave was all Lorelai needed to find the confidence to cross the floor and make her way over to the only other two people she knew in the place. Prudence was no-where to be seen but then the night was still young and like Levi, Prudence was often quite busy.

“Hello Kennedy,” she said with a warm, genuine smile. “I did wonder if perhaps you might be here this evening.”

She didn’t want to stand in the way of the couple enjoying themselves and was happy to stand back and wait while they lost themselves in one another on the dance floor, much like she had in the brief time she’d spent in Levi’s arms.

“Levi was just here, but he had to leave. I do wish he wasn’t quite so busy. I worry that he works to hard,” she told her companions.

She hadn't planned to go to the ball or the festival before Charisma had sent her a text and asked her if she wanted to meet up. She'd preferred to stay in or work on her sketches, but after some consideration, the brunette had gotten up off her couch and gone to change into the purple and orange dress. An hour later, she found herself outside of Nightmode, paid the cover charge and listened to the music playing as she watched people come and go. Noticing a few of her faction mates, Every gave a small faint smile in their direction before nodding towards Mordechai and Kennedy in greeting. She made her way over to a seat afterwards, her boots clicking against the flooring as she waited for the other woman.
