The first thing that strikes anyone when they enter the club, if they’re familiar with it that is, is the colour change. The usual amber lights that seem to create a warm glow in the dimly lit place have been replaced by red lamps, creating a more sinister feel to the atmosphere of the club. The red lighting however wasn’t the only light source as a number of candles had been carefully ensconced around the club. The gaming machines are on, but they have been covered in yards of black fabric, as has almost every other surface in the club; the idea being to create an opulent feel for the night’s festivities. The music for the evening is symphonic metal with the likes of Nightwish and Epica emanating from the speakers. While the music is appropriately loud, it’s not so load that people cannot carry on a conversation. The staff are also in costume for the evening but rather than sticking to the red and black theme, the staff are all in gold so that they are distinguishable from the guests.Please read the rules for this event in announcements before posting!
A couple of bouncers stands at the entrance of the club, their function being two fold; they are there to help maintain order but more importantly they are there to make sure that no-one with a pulse is admitted as the function is exclusively for vampires. The bouncers are distinguishable not only through their golden cravats but through their overly large physical forms, as they all fall on the path of the killer.
Each vampire that enters has their hand stamped with a small crescent moon once they’ve paid the modest cover charge. Showing the stamp at the door allows the wearer to come and go as they please.
The bar is well stocked, the staff are friendly and the night is full of promise.
