Jaxon tilted his head at the man who responded to his inquiry and was almost immediately disappointed. Fact was, if he hadn’t run into Whit while he was hunting not too long ago, Jaxon would think he was stark raving mad. Nobody else ever seemed to mention zombies, which was more than a little peculiar. Either a huge case of ignorance or the locals in this town had something to hide. He almost hoped it was the former – the latter might get him killed if someone less friendly found him testing his new strengths against the undead. He dipped his head at the response. “Can’t say I’ve ever had an experience like that,” He admitted, turning his gaze back to the female sprawled on the floor.

He watched her stand and then flowed to his own feet a moment later. A hand lifted to scratch the back of his own head with an uncertain expression. There were topics on the local city website discussing things like this and yet here he’d found another woman who was either oblivious or refusing to look beyond the proverbial veil. Maybe only he could see these things though because he was a Sorcerer, he wryly conceded. In which case all the more reason to keep it to himself. Even if it made him feel like he’d explode someday. “I’m not crazy.” He replied with a mutter and eyed the girl warily as she stepped closer to him. The amazon had left with her thief, another impressive show of strength, and Jax made no attempt to follow. His coffee was probably getting cold now.

Already another person was entering the little shop, and he suspected things would be going right back to normal. An overstatement for the creepy little town where his magical abilities had exponentially increased almost from the moment he’d stepped foot here. He squinted at the male, just to be sure it wasn’t a zombie – though he’d never seen one of them come anywhere near habitations let alone people of their own free will. Satisfied, Jax inched his way back to his table to swipe up the cup and guzzle down the cooling liquid. Caffeine was always the solution to sticky situations.

As soon as the woman stepped out of the cafe with her thief, Shya relaxed. The mess they had made covered the floors and tables of the cafe, and it gave off the impression of a tornado having hit down in the center. Her nose wrinkled up at the mess, her chocolate hues moving from various objects such as cups and newspaper that scattered the floor. In a way, the scene was beautiful. It was the calm that came after the storm. On a whim, she decided she would paint it. There must be a craft supplies store in the city somewhere, where she could purchase canvas and paints. And then she would create the scene as it appeared before her now. A beautiful disaster.

As the male that had offered her help muttered his lack of insanity, she fought the urge to sigh. If she had any concept of guilt, she might have allowed the words to dig at her skull until she apologized, but that simply wasn't the case. Still, apologizing was the right thing to do. He had moved away and back to his table, and before she went to follow, she eyed the man who had made the scene into a joke. He truly did look the type to make anything less tense by creating that comic relief, but his lack of seriousness much prove to be an annoyance to some who knew him. Without offering him any words of apology, she turned and wandered to the other male, scooping up his newspaper he had been previously reading.

She set it down on the tabletop, her fingers never touching the surface. "I apologize for my rude remark. It will not happen, again. And, thank you. For coming to my help," she said with a forced smile, though her tone was monotonous thanks to her mind's distraction. Rather than show that she had clearly made a mistake in her own mind, she took a step back. For some reason, she had felt too close and her body buzzed uncomfortably. Her head bobbed once in the form of a nod, and then she backed away to return to her own table. Her soup was cold, and her shirt was still ruined.

Customers were beginning to file in once more, as if nothing strange had ever happened. And the situation had gone full circle, as it always did. Rather than leave right away, she took her bowl of soup to dump in the garbage, and then bent down to retrieve some of the wrappers and napkins from the mess she had made. It was only the right thing to do.

With everything seeming to go back to 'normal,' Enver decided to exit stage left. He pulled out his wallet, put down a few more bills, giving Star an apologetic look, then nodded his head. "For the trouble my friend caused. He's a little under the influence." Enver didn't go in to what he was on, but most would probably assume the guy was drunk. Which would be a good thing in Crash's case.

With that taken care of, Enver glanced down to the watch he was wearing a muttered a soft profanity. He was out the door, forgetting about the incident and Pi's trouble all together. Anyone else was pretty much written off without any real regard, because Enver had never met them and they seemed to go back to whatever it was they were doing before the scene unfolded with the thief and Pi.

He had a meeting, and he was running late for it. No need to keep the other person waiting longer than they already had been. Not for something this important.
