[Mordechai]

Mordechai wandered his office at midnight armaments. His eyes taking in the signs of a successful business. File cabinets full of contract, framed articles on the company from assorted trade magazines, the framed licenses that allowed his companies to operate in Canada, Ontario, and Harper Rock city. He had been in this city three years now. One month as a human, the rest as the creature he had been turned into the creature of the night that humans called Vampire. Thinking back over the nights, the many nights he had wandered this city, memories began to flood his mind. Memories. So many of these nights had been alone. Mordechai found that he remembered less and less of the time 'Before', but memories from 'After' seemed clear. It was fitting in his eyes. 'Before' was over, he could never return. 'After' would never end. The years would pass, profits accumulate. The killer knew he would wield more money than he could ever have accumulated as a human. To what end? Money bought no happiness, bought no contentment. There was no price tag on contentedness. The killer wondered if he would lose sight of these memories as time went by. The present. Things were different now. Mordechai still lived an ascetic lifestyle, but he had let a few, a very few, into his life in the past year. Things had changed now. Things without a price tag, were seemingly in his reach. If he could finally figure out why he could think emotions, but not feel emotions, he knew the contentedness could continue, because he would be able to offer kennedy a whole mate, instead of the broken one she now had. Every operation took planning to succeed. Planning and records. Mordechai had started his quest, maybe it was time to start the documentation that would lead to the desired resolution.

I went to see Zo a little bit ago. I think she helped some. Still know that there is something wrong inside, but maybe it is fixable. Maybe I am redeemable. Zo read cards for me. Tarot cards. Not sure how much/if I believe in them, but their/her assessment, seemed to fit. Change. In small increments. It seemed to work some what. He had met a few more people. He was trying. Pru said he needed to laugh more. He had made three jokes in the last week. Someone had even laughed at one. Slow change is what is needed. So he was on track.

went to an auction... not sure why. Made two impulse buys. one is working out well, Madison is working at the shop for me, doing a great job. the other one, the mouse....not so sure about. but she is sangue. Couldnt let her get taken by some scum. I can keep her safe and busy for three days. Been thinking over the last three years. for the most part i think what has happened was for my betterment. this city is fucked tho. cant get 3 people to agree on anything. Scorp is missing again. been looking around some, even tracked her. keep seeing signs of her, but havent actually seen her. think i will talk to shamus. he knows her better. might have ideas. it isnt good to disappear around these parts.

started the search for Scorpia, she is not in any of the usual places. Not really worried, more concerned. Pru seems conflicted. Its not good. Think she needs a change of venue. Shamus was waffling on the search, seems he changed his mind though. Going to meet him. Think I got an answer to Pru's problem. Madison worked out great, though by the end I am not sure whether her cleavage or her skills sold the most guns. Had an awful lot of underage boys showing up wanting to buy something, anything, they didn't even know guns, just wanted in the shop. Aphyon was a different story. Thought she was trying to commit suicide for awhile there. Ken straightened her out tho. Got it all together by the end. think she going to turn out ok. She shows promise. the puppet won. a city full of retards. oh well, the price of a bullet will solve it. things are working out with kennedy. better than i had hoped. much better.

Something seems wrong in offices i normally loot, the items i use most seemed to have dried up, not sure if they are discontinued or what, but i used to find ten to twelve a day, now am lucky if i can four to five. It is frustrating. still no sign no scorp, but shamus has joined the hunt he was persuaded by his allergy to lead it seems. we have covered a lot of the bars, and i have chked fort and DE but no luck yet. this is also frustrating. seems tho that is the word of the week. frustrating.

The killer sighed as he reached for the small leather bound book. Not much had happened this week, in his search for a better killer, but it was time to document it none the less. Still no sign of scorpia, no idea where she could be. Caught a few glimpses in the sewers or so i thought, but no sire when i got there. Gonna buy a horse. A big horse. Its probably a stupid idea, but i have money to blow. Maybe ken will like it too.

It seemed as though it was planned, but it wasnt, that this was turning into a biweekly chronicle. Settling once more at his desk, he drew the leather clad tome to him and opened it, pen in hand. "Two presents delivered, reception was acceptable for both. it appears that the wagon was something Zo wanted, and for a moment as i watched from the shadows it appeared as tho Pru might dry hump the suzy. I am counting both as successes. The new equines are bought and delivered, just have to get kennedy to cherrydale, and introduce her to the paint. It reminds me of her. Colorful, full of energy, beautiful, soooft. I hope she likes it. Seems the government is getting close to something up north.. and someone is leaking info. might need to take out one of the cheytecs.

looks like pru sired another nut, tho this one is different then the rest. i do not understand her at all, forever will i be glad that my one mistake, now rest beneath the earth. seems like the govt is messing around more up at the old mausoleum, i let digo know, and have done some recon myself it seems as if some info was passed off, and now the receiver has disappeared. i fear the future at the rate things are going, since the puppet got in power it has been a downward spiral. have to start working on equipment and a training facility for Leviathan. will look for tome straight birch tomorrow i think.

The killer had spend a day in the wilderness, drifting like a ghost thru the trees, selecting twenty four ash trees that a straight grain, each was about four inches in diameter and over twenty five feet long. He had painstakingly cut each down, limbing it and transporting it back to his shop. when each was laid supine and supported to hold them true as he began working them and letting them dry. hours had been spent peeling the bark from them with a Wettterling carpenter axe. When they were all barked and supported he raised the heat to eighty- five and turned on the two dehumidifiers he had bought for the purpose, then headed to his office. lifting the tome from his desk he opened it and lifted a pen. "Prototype lances started, materials obtained, will need to see a forger for tips.

Went to a get together, 'meet and greet' it was called, Pru threw it. Turned out I knew all but one. Well the other one with Pru I have met, but don't really know. Her name is Lorelai, she is an odd one. She looks and acts human. Well to be honest, she acts a little weird. I scanned her, she is a telepath so I know she is a vampire, but ... but I have heard that a lot of telepaths are a little on the psychotic side. I think she is one of them... Ah well, as i said it was mostly 'greet' very little 'meet' Till a few party crashers stopped by. Don't think things went quite as they had planned. They threatened kennedy. I do not like when people threaten kennedy. I sent a message to their friends.
