What got me interested in vampire rpg was Vampire: The Masquerade. I heard about the tabletop stuff, then played the Bloodlines game, and felt like that's something I could get into. I just googled vampire online games and found this. I understand from lore and game mechanics it's not the same as Masquerade, but the atmosphere and a general sense of a Masquerade and controlling an inner beast are similar.
To me, the paths are quite similar, too--that you can pick a different pathed vampire with different characteristics and personalities.
